My greatest skill is dedication. I think dedication is a special skill to have because many people in the world lack it. Dedication is committing and making sure you achieve what you started. An example in which I developed dedication would be through my experience in high school softball. Softball was a sport I enjoyed, I went to the tryouts my freshman year and tried my best, but I did not get accepted onto the team. I attributed the rejection to inexperience and ignorance. In the beginning I told myself I shouldn't even try again because the girls had already known each other well and they were more advanced, I would have been a fish out of water. But then I thought to myself “I do not quit” and I researched all I could learn about softball, from skills to strategies to slang. Once I had the information I thought would help me, I communicated …show more content…
English has really helped me develop some complex writing skills and grammar. When I wrote my first essay in fifth grade I was not so advanced but gradually through the years until now my junior year I have noticed how my essays have really stepped up to another level. A Lot of schools require you to type essays for your grade or for your future. English has really helped me comprehend how to write a strong essay. I think that English is really the main subject in school that is important to every single student in the world because English is a main concept to have. Math and English is also used as an everyday skill even when we don't even realize that we are using these concepts. Math is involved in every daily skill in life, for example, we need to use math to cook. To cook you need to measure how much ingredients go in the food courses and also you need to count how much time you need to let the food set, math also help your financial problems from how much you need to save to how much you should spend. English is also used on an everyday basis from the way we talk to the way we
Commitment, it is being loyal or dedicated to something you love doing. I love being in NJROTC, so I am dedicated to it. Being committed to something helps me stay focus to what I need to do in life. I didn't know what commitment really was until I found something I loved doing and I stick to it. In the future for my goals, I will use commitment to stay on task, stay loyal to what I love, and being dedicated to what I need to
A member's dedication is key to the program's stability. Dedication is the idea that no matter how troublesome the scenario is, how rough the waters get, they will stand by their word and fulfill their duty as a member of the leadership. ...
Finally, leadership, my most valuable skill. Leadership is useful in any career and any situation. In band, I've used it a lot. Now that I'm going into the real world and my career, I know I will use it even more. My leadership has rewarded me personally. I feel like I have already made a difference in the lives of my peers. Leadership can get me anywhere in life and I expect that this alone could get me all the way to my college graduation. These skills in combination will keep me on top, and hopefully at the top of my college
Going off the numbers, I am the best at reading, then science, math, and finally English. I am exceptional at the tasks I do, as long as I am intrigued with them. When I can not relate to the task, I become distracted and easily lose motivation. It those times, my work becomes blemished.
... effectively convey thoughts and ideas. These skills will be beneficial in any job an individual obtains after college. For example, a doctor would benefit greatly from a foreign language class. Many intercity hospitals cater to minorities that may only speak their native languages. If a physician were able to communicate with foreign patients it would make their job much easier and the patients more comfortable. English courses that develop writing skills will truly benefit all individuals. Communicating thoughts through writing will aid success in any field. Even blue-collar labor workers would benefit by having the knowledge of expressing concerns through a letter to a superior. While taking these courses one may not see how it will benefit them in the future. However, at some point one will draw from the knowledge or experience to assist them in their careers.
Personally, I believe that I have gained valuable knowledge in my English classes. Recently, I am about to end my third English course of college and it has been a good experience, those courses helped and influenced a lot in my writing. I believe I did more than just improve my writing skills. I received some rhetorical and genre knowledge, and learned about the writing process and how to appropriately enter a conversation without losing my own style of writing.
Dedication Do you know what it takes to be successful? Dedication can take you far in life as you attempt to better yourself through time, effort, and commitment for a specific purpose. Through dedication, you are who you are today. Personally, I have used dedication to get a long way in my seventeen years of life.
My flexibility is certainly one of my greatest strengths. I can easily move between different working styles, depending on the scenario. I have no problem trying a new idea or concept out before deciding on a final direction. I am continually exploring different options. Being a “people-person” is one of my other strengths. My excellent interpersonal skills allow for me to bring ideas, thoughts and people together. I generate enthusiasm and excitement into tasks. I feel comfortable and confident talking to others about anything that I have knowledge of.
English is, almost certainly, the most important subject that a child can learn in school. Without knowing proper English, a child will not be able to communicate effectively with the English speaking nation. They would be shut off from education and other people in this country. A person who does not poses proper English limits his or her ability to achieve their highest potential. Knowledge of the English language is important to learn to be able to communicate with others, in the teaching of immigrant students, and in finding and maintaining a job.
Taking the initiative might be the first step, but being committed throughout is significant too. To be committed, it means to accomplish a goal that have been set by doing all the exhausting work. finish something that a person has started. For example, finishing school and getting a degree. When a student decides to do something for your whole life, in this case, a career, you commit to succeed and have it for the rest of your life.
We all have things that we excel in and things that we aren’t the best at. Personally, my strengths are centered around organization, planning, and time management. Although these are all things that I can incorporate into my school work and home life, I do feel that I am not capitalizing on my strengths at work.
These statistics prove how helpful learning a foreign language is. Although there has been expressive concern for those students who learn a foreign language lose learning time in other academic areas, it is actually more helpful. Melissa Brown states, “Children who study a foreign language, even when this second language takes times away from the study of mathematics, outperform students who do not study a foreign language and have more mathematical instruction during the school day.”
Motivation is simply why someone acts the way they do. It is the process of setting goals, and then and then accomplishing them. “The four elements to motivation are personal drive to improve, commitment to goals that you set, initiative for opportunity readiness, and being optimistic when pursuing your goals. Some advantages for self-motivation are being well organized, having good time management skills, and having more self-esteem and confidence in yourself.” (Skills You Need, 2001-2017).
One of my greatest strengths at work that I have recognized would have to be my ability to be a well-organized individual. I tend to write what I have to do down on paper and prioritize what is more important to least important. In doing this, it helps me organize and accomplish my work and meet deadlines that are important. A personal strength that I have at home is patience. I am a mother of a beautiful three year old little girl who is a handful. Patience is my greatest strength as a parent and individual which I possess especially being a single mother. I am a dedicated and hard working mother and I always make sure that my daughter gets the love and attention she needs.
Persistence. Persistence in the face of opposition. It is easy to be passionate when life and business is good. You will have the perfect mindset and attitude. However, what happens when the perfection stops and the hardships set in. Will you drive forward, with the same passion and commitment? The winners do. The successful entrepreneurs do. Persistence is the ingrained mindset of success. It truly does separate those that succeed from those that fail. Your persistence is what separates those that dream to achieve and those that achieve. Never give
