Why Canada?
The reason I chose Canada to pursue a University Degree is the good reputation that Canadian universities enjoy for maintaining a high standard of education and giving their students the much needed exposure to an international environment. A large number of students from across the world go to Canada to study and that makes Canada an ideal destination for me. Canada is a liberal democracy with a well-established pluralistic society and that’s something that can really help me grow as an individual. Before applying to Canada for my bachelor’s degree, I was pursing ACCA, a UK based qualification

A degree in Business Administration opens a world of opportunities. Business Administration is a course that holds a lot of significance in my country’s business environment. Pakistan is a developing country. Pakistan does not have a flourishing corporate culture. Pakistan is in the initial stages of growth and career prospects in Multinational corporations are limited. The return on investment is most likely to be good in my situation. Investment in a business administration degree from Canada will yield a good return in Pakistan on my return in strictly monetary terms. I have a strong precedent to believe that my assumption here is correct. Unlike performing arts and literature, Business Administration gives a good return and the graduates with this degree are easily employable in Pakistan just like the rest of the

I have seen people in my immediate surroundings that went to Canada to acquire a degree and later returned to Pakistan to start their careers. Pakistani employers National and as well as Multinational Organizations operating in Pakistan know the importance and the benefits of a foreign degree and look at it with a great deal of admiration and respect. In some cases Pakistani employers were seen, preferring foreign (Canadian graduates constitute a sizable part of that group) over local graduates. All the major employers like Coke, Nestle, Shell petroleum; Engross Fertilizer, etc. are always looking to hire professional people with my possible future qualification from
Canada my Canada by Tomson Highway describes Canada in a very descriptive way. The majestic mountains are like a protective wall for the Great Plains. The blue water with the diverse marine life and the Forests that provide air for a big part of North America.
History professor 's Ken Coates and Bill Morrison, in their article, ' 'The uses and abuses of university, ' ' emphasize the mismatch between what students are learning in university, and what the economy truly needs. Coates and Morrison 's purpose is to impress upon readers the idea that post secondary graduates are often bombarded with unexpected difficulties such as struggling to find paid employment, and accepting unskilled, low paying jobs. They adopt a candid approach in order to convey to their readers the idea that our education is not parallel with our ever changing Canadian economy. The article is concluded with an engaging statement addressing the extreme disconnect between what universities are producing, and what the students need in order to bridge the unemployment gap, and that if universities are unable to accept the truth behind why people attend universities, the graduates and the economy will continue to suffer. Through their use of a strong personal story, statistics, and then and now comparisons, they are able to effectively defend their bold thesis.
As the old saying goes, “History has a way of repeating itself.” This is demonstrated in many of the world’s events. With deeper insight into past conflicts, there is usually a repeating theme present. In the Cellist of Sarajevo the reader is introduced to four major characters and is taken through the minds of these characters to see the ever lasting effects that war has on peoples mental and physical states. We will also be comparing this novel to the essay righting of What Canada Means to me written by Elijah Harper. This essay takes its reader through the eyes of a Native American who was forcibly taken away from his family and forced to go to Canadian schools and leave behind his culture behind. The reader can easily identify the elements
In the decades following World War Two, there were a number of movements which focused on global developments. Groups such as the United Nations and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization were centres of international cooperation. In these dealings there were, of course, great powers; the countries that had the greatest riches and militaries often dominated the global political stage. Beyond that, there were countries which were not the biggest or strongest, but were influential through other means. These were middle powers, and Canada is one of them.

By attracting a broad demographic of students, the campus environment can more realistically mirror today’s multicultural society. I hope to shed some light onto the clichéd country of Canada. It is more interesting
A university education benefits not only the holder, but all of society. Here in Canada, the provinces have steadily reduced their university funding and many have also frozen tuition, effectively stopping the universities from augmenting revenues. This has increasingly put more pressure on the schools financially, resulting in difficulty dealing with the growing number of youth looking to further their education. This is a problem. The goal of higher education is to better society, and its results are proven.
