Importance of Babysitters / Childcare: Final Draft Do you have kids? Have you ever wanted to have a night alone with your husband or wife? If so, that is when a babysitter and/ or child care comes in handy. There are times when couples find themselves overwhelmed by how many activities they have on their plates. They either have too much work, or they need a vacation. This is when the couple should hire a babysitter or take their child to a day care center for a few hours. Some parents even hire babysitters for a few days so they can go on a vacation. Babysitters and day cares are very essential to a lot of adults with kids. Babysitters are good to have in your contacts if you’re a parent. You can never know when you might need someone to watch your children for you. An example of this is if a child gets out of school at three but the parents don’t get off until five. The parents would have their child ride the bus to the day care center and stay there for two hours until they got off work and can come get them. Day cares are different from babysitters. Babysitters typically come to your house while day cares have their own buildings to care for your child in. Day cares have activities such as movies, and games for the children to do every day. Babysitters can use the child’s own personal movies and games to entertain him and her, and they never have to leave the child’s own
Chapter seven of “Making the “Terrible” Twos Terrific” by John Rosemond is about sending your children to daycare. Rosemond believes that if possible one of the parent stays at home for the first three years of life. “The first three years of life constitute the single most critical, precedent-setting developmental period” (Rosemond 207). He also talks about putting your child in a three day or half day daycare. From birth to age two children rely completely on their parents. At age three is the transition time when children learn they are not the center of the universe and this should be taught by the parents.
Childcare is a necessity for a large number of working families and single parents. Fortunately, there are many options available to meet both the needs of the family and their budget. Each option comes with advantages and disadvantages. We will provide some basic information regarding each type, as well as some guidelines in regards to estimated cost.
An individual as a caregiver has more one-on-one time with a child as long as their group of children is small. A child could form a stronger bond with a smaller setting and possibly have less separation anxieties to deal with. Some parents feel the time spent with one person could benefit their child more than being with multiple caretakers. The cost of a caregiver usually is less than the traditional day care centers because there is less overhead, but there are not as many opportunities available to them. If a caregiver becomes ill or needs to take a vacation, it is the parent’s responsibility to have a back up to take care of the child during that time. A child with many health problems would possibly not be exposed to as many germs at an individual’s house because they would not come into contact with as many other children on a daily basis. On the other hand, individuals may be more lenient and allow children that are ill to attend. This could be a problem if the parents do not have family or friends that would or could care for the child during this time. A parent may have to miss work entirely to take care of the child, and with the loss of income could put the whole family at risk. A child may have problems at a babysitter such as discipline, allergies, other children, but unless they mention it to the parents they will not...
Some day care can be beneficial for the children as they offer great facilities and have positive effects on the child rather than having negative effects. Day care is not a replacement of a family it is there to work with the family and complement the
Parents are always questioning whether they would like to have any more children someday. One of the aspects parents think about in this decision is child care. Child care can be pricey and the quality of the child care is also something to think about as well. Parents want their child to grow up and become very successful in life. Choosing a daycare from infant on, is part of the process to becoming successful as they grow. ...ter, because in order to receive daycare help you must be working. A lot of times this still leaves the mother in a bind, due to the lack of hours she works and the lack of support she will receive. At times the mother has to choose a low quality daycare which only makes it worse on her children; they may not endure the proper amount of attention needed as well as nutrition.
Paying a babysitter to watch your children while you are at work may seem like a smart idea and at the same time it may be cheap, but some people are not responsible to care after kids. They may have a good resume and background check but still, they are not what you are looking for. Some parents make the mistake of hiring babysitters and while in the care of the sitter, their child may come up missing, abused, etc. All babysitters are not bad caretakers; however, but you should just watch who you have watching your children.
It is common knowledge that a parent is considered the most efficient caregiver for their children. It’s also known that with daily responsibilities of caring for a child financially, parents partake in full-time and/or part-time employment. While needing to do so, many children attend daycare/preschool facilities. Granted, it is the parent’s responsibility to cautiously select where they decide to take their children. This is because parents know that while they are away for numerous hours of the day, their children are in the hands of another care provider and that their care would have an enormous impact on their children. At a young age, a child’s social and cognitive skills are continuing to take shape and the amount of time spent in these facilities has a resilient impact on a child’s development. With proper and superior care no matter the time spent, such positive effects on a child’s development should endure in a child’s cognitive and social development. In other words, there is a great benefit of childcare/daycare attendance on a child’s development.

(H) If child care facilities closed down for one day, parents wouldn 't be able to attend their jobs, and the world would panic. Why is child care necessary for working families and priced outrageously? (DD) Child care is the care of children by a baby sitter, day care, or other provider, while the child 's parents are working. (IGV) Many families suffer from having to pay for over priced child care because the government doesn’t provide a fair amount of child care subsidies, or families are uneducated about government programs existence. Low income families also have a hard time affording quality child care for their children. Low income families find it very hard to afford childcare. ...n their caregivers the most. The way that a caregiver takes care of an infant determines the attitude, health and behavior of a child in their toddler and preschool years. It is a caregiver’s responsibility and duty to help a child develop secure attachments by doing everything necessary to meet the needs of a child. A caregiver who is able to set expectations and limits is one that is promoting appropriate behavioral patterns. It is the caregiver that shows a child love, affection and makes time for them that helps develop positive attitudes. A caregiver who responds to the needs of a child by ensuring that they are getting proper nutrition and adequate exercise is one that guarantees the health and well-being of a child. The role that a caregiver plays in developing secure attachments with children is not easy, but it is the most important and the most meaningful.
Day-care is a place where children ranging from as little as one month, to any other age, are taken care of during the day. This could be due to the parents being too busy to take care of them during the same time, either due to work, school, or other time consuming obligations. Day-care therefore provides alternative care for little children, when their parents are away. This is widely criticized by a large number of people who believe that children should not be left under the care of strangers.
Responsibility is an important thing when it comes to babysitting. It all started during the 09’ summer vacation, when I wanted to babysit for some extra money to go shopping with my friends that were going to come visit me all the way from Canada. I knew that my neighbors were going out to San Francisco for about six hours, and couldn’t find a babysitter yet. So, I asked my mom if I could go next door and ask them. She said I could, and I had my first summer job.
Everyone has a talent and baby-sitting is one of mine. Babysitting has many advantages. First of all, it keeps you in shape. Second of all, it gives you responsibilities. And lastly, you can make some money while doing it.
If I was granted $10,000 to benefit my community I would use it to make a public babysitting center. It would be available throughout the whole day making it easier for families to drop their kids off at any given time. The prices would be made very affordable, made specifically for single parents that cant afford full-time babysitters like any other family could. The babysitting center would have different rooms designed for a variety of ages so that each kid would enjoy their experience there.
