Our veterans helped make our country the best country, which is known for fact.Today, because of our veterans I’m proud to say that every citizen has the right to speak and share their voice no matter what their race is. In some countries, there are still racial conflicts and all races.I am also proud to say that every child in America,no matter what their race is, they can have a free education. Most children in other countries are not allowed to go to school because they can’t afford it instead, they go to work
As early as the 1920s, thousands of men and women have been deployed to fight for our country. Many go to war and unfortunately some do not make it out alive. While
For a school project we interviewed veterans and reflected on those interviews, I gained a better understanding of how to answer the question: why are veterans important to us. Veterans remind us of the horrors of war, of the innocent lives that were lost, and the millions of people those lost lives affected. Each of those veterans that we see has served our country fighting not only for our rights but also for the rights of those across the world. They chose to leave their families, jobs, and life back home to go and make sure that those human rights were being maintained across the world. That sacrifice of leaving everything behind is mind blowing.
The purpose of Veterans Day is to honor veterans who have served and sacrificed for our nation. Nevertheless, nobody knows what veterans do or how they feel after separating from the military.
While soldiers are away from home, many things might change that they aren’t there for, for example, family problems and disasters. In addition, veterans might come home to a whole different world than when they left, and this already makes their lives more challenging to go with these changes. In addition, soldiers might also come back with physical injuries, like a lost limb, or loss of hearing. As a result, this makes everyday tasks much harder than they actually are. Veterans also might be mentally scarred from war. For example, a mental disorder called post traumatic stress disorder, makes life for the veteran and family much
America’s veterans should be honored because they have suffered through so many hardships that others could not and have not survived, and they did it for their country that they loved and still love today.
Veterans day means a day for us to thank the ones who have served in the military and war. Sacrificing every moment of their lives to defend our country. The Veterans have a significant importance everywhere. Whatever the reason is for them serving our country we should appreciate them for all their work. Veterans day was created because World War I ended . Fighting and wars did not end and are still going on and there are still Veterans out here today. Veterans day is a day to celebrate ones who were in war. Not to be confused with Memorial day , memorial day is when we celebrate the ones who died serving. People today in our society don’t take in consider the ones protecting us every single day. Who do you think fights for us and our country.
Veterans need to be taken care of medically, mentally, and financially, as promised by President Obama. "It's a commitment that begins at enlistment, and it must never end. But we know that for too long, we've fallen short of meeting that commitment. Too many wounded warriors go without the care they need. Too many veterans don't receive the support they've earned.
From the parent’s perspective, the military has much to offer for a child’s development. There are many opportunities children born in a military family get to experience that is beneficial to their development. The military lifestyle promotes the opportunity to be more culturally diverse, socially strong, and mature level of positive characteristics can help develop a child.
For all of these reasons, veterans who are seeking jobs should be hired. Veterans are strong enough to overcome adversities and they have enough skill to be good employees. They deserve to be employed because of their commitment to serve our country and risk their lives for our protection. Their employment should be protected and secured.
As time goes, the understanding of the day has changed as well. Much like the original concept of the Purple Heart being an award given for valor and merit before transitioning later to a medal for wounded service members, Veterans Day originated with the same concept as today’s Memorial Day. What is most important to realize is that regardless of what the true definition means to the observer, the purpose behind the day is to remind us all that people put their lives on the line in support of their countries and their fellow man. Their service, their sacrifice, and their dedication to something greater than themselves is honored across the
Veteran’s day is a reflection of the peace and the warrior culture in the United States. While peace cultures strive for tolerance and positive peace, warrior cultures focus on aggression and domination and this Day demonstrates how both cultures are engrained in the American society.
They have given America an elite example of how to defend ourselves and keep each other safe. They have shown our nation how to achieve freedom. The future generations will look at the history that they have made and use it as their guide to keep our country on top. Now, it is the next generation’s job to make a strong future.
“ When we are children we seldom think of the future. This innocence leaves us free to enjoy ourselves as few adults can. The day we fret about our future is the day we leave our childhood behind.” (Rothfuss) Everyone rushes to get to a point that they didn’t expect at all in life. The future could be such a frightening stage, a leap to the unexpected. It is out of the hands of people to get what they want, most of the time because of life experiences. Growing up in a depressing community post war will be an automatic change in life perspective. Veterans are scarred, wives feel helpless and children change. As things start to slowly change, a child's mind set does too. They question life more, act to what they think they should be acting in certain situations, and sadly, start putting the toys
