Why Are People Different?: Difference

In the lecture “ Why Are People Different?: Difference,” the professor explained why are people different from one another? He said that people have a lot of different things such as sexual identity or orientation, and different in happiness. Also, he answered this question what are main factors that cause difference of people. It has two traits that are personality and intelligence in term of psychology. In addition, he stated that a reason about why these traits are measured and reasonable. Besides, he explained why they may differ across individuals and groups genetic differences, and whether they are influenced at all by one's genes, parents or environment.

Before I heard the lecture, I believed that the parental inheritance is most

important reason that cause different behaviors among people. I think people have different biologies in their genetic structure. Thus, we have a lot of physical and psychological traits from our parents. It affects our personality and intelligence. However, in the lecture, the professor said that we cannot distinguish identical twins’ brain because they have the all most same brains. They have same behaviors genetics, but they are difference on personality and intelligence. Therefore, another thing is environment that also cause difference between people. Now, I think both are all effect difference between people on their personality and intelligence.

In the lecture “The Future of Energy - Full Documentary,” the professors claimed that the world's population will reach nine billion by the year 2050, so the demand on the world's resources that will be bleak. Also, they stated that human should face a lot of environmental problems in 2050. However, the professors said that in the imaginations of a coterie of physicists, biologists and engineers, an alternative world is taking shape, and they will create new things to replace others such as new drugs, digital maps, and renewable energy.

In the lecture, I am interested about using robots to drive the car. The professors said that the engineers create 3D digital maps which can help people avoid the traffic accident, and it also can save energy. In addition, they designed electric cars that do not use oil, and it will produce a lot in 2050. Besides, I believe that fusion will become more popular in the future because uranium-powered fission has a huge energy that are hard to use, now.
