One question that many people argue over, and is becoming a becoming a big argument is the question, “Are athletes overpaid?” Many people can argue that they are getting paid a sufficient amount of money for what they do. Children are trying to replica these athletes because of how much they have accomplished.Others say that they are getting way too much money for playing a game. Yes, they are good and deserve some amount of money, but no what they are getting paid for playing multiple amounts of games for only one year to get paid millions. First, I think that athletes are contingent on their money. Personally, I think that if athletes are only laying the sport just because of the money. First, we have people who are putting their lives at risk over seas trying to protect this country because they stand for their rights and beliefs. When asked “Are elite sports people overpaid?” people have varied responses. Some people would agree with this and say ‘why should a person that hits or kicks a ball be paid as much as someone who saves lives or teaches children everyday? But on the other hand some would disagree and say that sports people are paid for their skills just like everybody else! These are both very good arguments.
Many people in today’s world complain about how much Pro Athletes get pay. So I ask are Pro athletes overpaid? If I were to become a professional football player I would not complain about my salary for many reasons. I am playing the sport that I love and getting paid for it. The minimum wage for football is well over $100,000 a year, as is for many professional sports. These reasons by their lonesome are enough to warrant that the salary professional athletes are paid is suffice.
