Most times when high school kids ponder on the thought of college they think about the sides that don’t involve education. However, that’s not the purpose of attending a college. College is there for you to get an education so you can broaden your knowledge, get a satisfying job, and so you can find success in life. Those are three key reasons why I want to get a college education. Throughout my twelve years of school I have realized something. That out of all the classes I have took, I have only truly enjoyed a small amount of those classes. Most classes don’t catch my attention very well or the content is dull and unexciting. That is why I’m looking forward to attending college, so I can find and take classes that actually interest me.
My purpose and goals in attending college is to make something of my life. It is a good thing. No one wants to be a nobody. But sometimes it takes time in order for one to realize this. & nbsp; Upon graduation from high school, I, like the majority of others high school graduates, had no clue what direction my life was heading or even what I wanted to become.
I grew up constantly seeing my parents suffer from choices they made when they were freshly graduated from high school. They always told me to go to college so I wouldn’t have to suffer from the same mistakes they made and I was going to do just that. I decided to take on the student loan debt and continue my education because I refused to settle immediately in life.
Education is one of the most important heritage that a father can give to his son. Education is the greatest inheritance a parent can leave to the son, being educated is not to acquire knowledge but more than that it be lack of ignorance. Someone once said that “I do not read for more intelligence but rather to be less ignorant”, these words have a world between them, because many people study for a degree not for gain knowledge. Education can be defined as the wealth of knowledge acquired by an individual that would be a common way to define which education, but is also the most seen college students? Going to college does not just mean getting an education, to me it means succeeding to a level of learning where I can make something of myself and be proud of it. People say they want to attend college because they just want a good paying job, but that really doesn’t mean anything. Going to college to get a high level of education puts you in a position of succeeding to the top. I, myself, would love to attend college to reach those high peaks that I call my goals. I want my peers and teachers to remember me as I am today.

Think about what you are doing and when you succeed what life you will have.” There are several different reasons why I could stay home, work and not go to college; I could go to work every day and make more money for the house, it’s easier, and I would be less stressed. Now, on the other hand there are many reasons why I should go to school; such as further my education, make my family proud, and make myself proud. I am attending college for several different reasons. One reason is to further my education. I hate feeling like I don’t know something, I like being the person everyone comes to for information. Also, because I want to be better prepared for my major, I want to be better then the next person with the job credentials. I want to major in Social Work and Criminology. I dream to be a counselor or an clinical service social worker. I want to help people who need someone there for them someone who can guide them or even just talk too. Another reason is because I would be the first in I would be the first in my family to go to college. I feel in some type of way I am setting an example for my parents and my brother that they too can go back to school. Lastly is simply because I love school. I love knowing more and more each day. College is not for everyone, but I will be successful by grasping the benefits, preparing for the problems, taking heed from experts, and working on strategies to be successful.
College is a very important thing. If you go to college you will most likely get better pay in your career. Also, with a college degree, you have more opportunities. I believe that everyone should go to college. If you don’t go to college and just go into some job and that fails then you have no backup plan. From a young age, I’ve always known I wanted to go to college. To be able to pursue what interests me and to study what I’m passionate about sounds like the opportunity I just can not miss out on. I have always enjoyed going to school and learning new subjects year after year, each year giving me a deeper understanding of the topics given to me. College would allow me to broaden my horizons and find new experiences, study new subjects, and deepen my roots in education.
As we grow up, we are taught that after High School we have to attend college and earn a degree. Although graduating from a University and acquiring a degree will open more opportunities, it is not the only path that can be taken to become a successful individual. For graduates who feel that college is not for them, there is other available options including, starting a business, trade schools, military, or even becoming an artist. In this weeks Blog, as we interviewed our fellow students we found that each individual had their own game-plan and reasoning's behind the decisions and paths they plan on taking.
I want to further my education at Bethel University, by enrolling in the master’s program primarily for three reasons. First being, I have completed the undergraduate program at Bethel University and consider this university to be the ideal place to further my education. Second, education is important to me and I look forward to gaining experience and enhancing my skill set at Bethel University.

At this time, I don’t have a clear idea in what I want to major in when I go to college or what I want my career path to be because I am still exploring my options. Although, I have been getting into film these past few years. I love learning about the whole process of film making and all the detail that goes into it.
