Abraham Lincoln was the best president because he helped end slavery Just one month after writing this letter Lincoln issued his first Emancipation Proclamation which announced that at the beginning of 1863, he would use his war powers to free all slaves in states still in rebellion. As it says on wikipedia "With the emacipation Proclamation help free millions of slaves in the united states". Even though it didnt fully free slaves it helped alot and gave slaves alot of hope. And thats my first reason on why Abraham Lincoln is the best president that we ever had in the
united states. My second reason is because Abraham Lincoln has one of the most memorable speeches in history called the Gettysburg Address. The speech emphasized the sacrificial nature of the Union deaths for Lincoln noted that the “brave men” who struggled there had already consecrated the ground “far above our poor power to add or detract.” A few months before, he had taken note of black sacrifice in other battles when, in a letter to critics of his emancipation policy, he had observed, “You say you will not fight to free negroes. Some of them seem willing to fight for you.” And this is my second reason on why Abraham Lincoln is the greatest president in the United States. My third reason on why Abraham Lincoln is one of the greatest presidents of all time is because is has a great influence on people. "Abraham Lincoln, a self-taught lawyer, legislator and vocal opponent of slavery, was elected 16th president of the United States." And to me Abraham was mulit talented and i feel like he infuenced the people of the United stated to do better and work harder to get what they want and to achieve their goals. Abraham Lincoln is the best president of the united states because he has one of the best speeches in history, he helped free slaves, and because he is very influential to people.

Without a doubt, there have been great presidents throughout American history. The subject of the matter is debatable about who has done the best job for the position. Abraham Lincoln is regarded by many Americans as the greatest president to ever hold office in the history of the United States, and his reputation is definitely well deserved. Lincoln wasn't scared to stand up and fight for what he knew was right. He was convinced that within the branches of government, the presidency alone was empowered not only to uphold the Constitution, but also to protect, and defend it. Lincoln was able to lead our country and preserve the Union, keeping the United States from splintering during the devastating times of the Civil War. As President, he built the Republican Party into a strong national organization, and he rallied most of the northern Democrats to the Union cause. The sixteenth president of the United States of America, also known as Abraham Lincoln was known for emancipating slaves. This was a huge step in our history. For this I have always looked at him as an amazing man and a great president. The reason I chose President Lincoln is because of this. He is the reason, along with others, why our country is not segregated and African Americans have the rights they do. Another reason I chose Abraham Lincoln is because he was self-taught and an amazing mind of our early government. I knew some things about him but I knew there was still so much to learn and so much information that I didn’t know. He was also as I said a big part in making the Emancipation Proclamation which was a step toward freedom for

His vision, his shrewdness, his active involvement in taking the military as well as political control of the war saw the nation getting rid of the war quickly than expected. He managed to keep the country united despite the secession of the Southern states, and thus made the country what it is now today. If it were not for his brilliance, we would never know how the country would have been today. He made the Federal government stronger, built the military strength. Yet, the thing the stands out in my opinion, is his contribution to the liberty of Black people, the slaves. He extricated the deep-seated slavery system from the society and outlawed it forever.
