Abortion There are approximately 1.21 million abortions in america each year. That is 1.21 beings who had their lives taken from them without any consent whatsoever. Abortion takes the right to live and defies a commandment from God. I am pro life. If you are pro life you are against abortion. If you are pro choice you are supporting abortion. I think to take somebody’s life is downright evil. The time to decide if you want a child is before you're pregnant, not when your 12 weeks along. A child should be a gift, not a consequence. Ronald Reagan once said “I’ve noticed that everyone who is for abortion has already been born.” (Reagan Ronald. Abortion. personal interview. January 9th,1984) Some will argue that its better for the child not to live the life I am living and adoption isn’t right for me. Or maybe that person was raped. In that case I still think you should keep the child. I think everything happens for a reason and this is no exception. There are many reasons why I think abortion is evil , but there are three main ones. Abortion is unethical, Psychologically damaging, and is a major religious conflict. When we you sit down and really look at abortion it is no different than murder. I think a child is a gift from God and that you have no right to take that child’s life away. No matter what your circumstances are like at home you should still have that child. And if you still don’t think you can provide for that child adoption is always available. Somebody would love to have that child in their life and would give everything you couldn’t. That child deserves to have a long life just like everybody else. Having an abortion is a sign of weakness and is the easy way out. You were the irresponsibl... ... middle of paper ... ...rom living no matter how unfit of a parent you are. Abortion is no different from murder and is defies God for it is a sin. I will always be Pro-life but I realize that there are just as many people, if not more, who are Pro-choice. I respect their opinion, but I think there is no place for abortion and that it is a very evil act. There is no place for abortion, no matter what your situation is. Abortions are very selfish and a cruel way to end pregnancy. Abortions wouldn’t be needed if females would take responsibility and either use contraception or own up to their mistakes. Abortion is murder no matter how you look at it and murderers should be punished for their actions. Choose to be pro-life and stand up for the innocent babies that can’t.

...evil. To treat pregnancy as a disease that can be “cured” with methods of contraception and abortion is morally wrong. All people are specially made in the image and likeness of God from the moment of conception. The arguments defending pro-choice all describe how there are certain circumstances when an abortion must occur. However, unless the mother’s life is absolutely threatened, abortion is a sin that ends the life of a child of God.
My view when it comes to abortion relates to the situation if severe problems occur that is threatening the life of the expectant mom. In certain issues like when women or young teens are raped they should be given the option to abort the unwanted pregnancy from a criminal act. Women and young teens using abortion as a way to escape responsibilities from immature actions is not right because of adoption agencies that offer services that would place the children with loving families and offer them a chance at life.
Abortion is a touchy subject for most people and is something most would prefer to avoid discussing. Being pro-life or pro-choice is a decision that has much to do with the beliefs of an individual. I believe that abortion is something that is situational in my mind. I am pro-life and pro-choice. I believe that everyone has the right to make this decision but I believe killing is a child is wrong. Science is a big starting point when it comes to abortion, discussions of when a fetus is really a child is brought up in almost every debate on abortion.
Abortion has been a controversial topic in the U.S ever since it became legal in 1973 after the Roe v. Wade case. Abortion is defined as the, “the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy.” Pro-life supporters believe that abortion is unethical and argue that it is the mother’s responsibility to own up to her actions. They also argue that there is always the option of adoption, and that abortion could be very dangerous. I am pro-life and believe that the government doesn’t have the right to decide what a woman can or can’t do with her body.
Abortion, a controversial topic that excites like no other topic in this country. The principal reason why this topic is so controversial, is because there are many people on both sides of the issue. For the most part, it seems that certain social groups of society tend to think similarly about abortion. In this day and age it seems that there are not many pro-life Democratic politicians or pro-choice Republicans. Typically, Democrats are pro-choice and Republicans pro-life. Personally, I consider myself to be pro-life. I firmly believe that the point in which a person becomes a person by a clear and definable measure, is when it acquires a genetic code that identifies it as human. At conception there is potential life and if a fetus is killed, that fetus is gone, forever. It cannot be duplicated. All that said, I believe abortion is wrong both morally and ethically and it should be illegal.

Abortion is one of America’s most controversial subjects. The participants in this debate have fixed beliefs on the matter at hand. On one side of the debate are people who believe in pro- choice. They argue that choice of a woman is more important than an unborn fetus. They point out that an unborn child is not on the same level of importance as the mother. Also, the pro-life group declares that choice is the sole purpose behind their argument. They believe that if a woman cannot chose to abolish a pregnancy, then she looses one of her basic human rights. The other side of the debate is the pro-life group. Their main concern is that the fetus is a person; therefore, having the same human rights as the mother. As a result, when states pass laws that enable abortions, these states are legalizing murder. When considering an individual’s ethics and values, killing is morally wrong. Therefore, the termination of unborn children is wrong, as well. Abortion, the unethical expulsion of an embryo or fetus, in order to purposely end a pregnancy, should be forbidden because human life begins at conception, economics is not a justification for abortion, and an unwanted child does not justify abortion.
Abortion is the termination of a pregnancy by the removal or expulsion of a fetus or embryo from the uterus before viability (dictionary.com). Those who disagree with abortion think that this is not right, mid evil and a form of murder. All of those thoughts are correct; abortion is the act of removing a fetus from the protection of the mother’s uterus. However, is it not the duty of the mother to protect her unborn child? In this day in age, we are still allowing this barbaric method of ending a pregnancy to happen despite the many alternatives. If an unexpected pregnancy should occur, abortion should not the only option. There are many reasons why abortion should not be illegal in all parts of the world, and people need to know the options available. Adoption is certainly a strong option in a world wanting for children. Abortion is not a method of birth control and people need to be educated on pregnancy prevention and take on some responsibilities.
In my argumentative coursework I am arguing that abortion is wrong and not to be mistaken with 'Abortion should be made illegal.' I will explain later why I have made this statement. Abortion is the termination of an unborn child in its mother's womb for up to twenty four weeks of the pregnancy or in special circumstances e.g. Disability diagnosis a termination right up until the mother goes in to labour. I think the above definition is an easier and less harsh way of saying that abortion is the murdering of a human being. There are several reasons why abortion is legal and several reasons why it shouldn?t be.
