Who Was Pat Tillman A Hero

“Patriotism is a thing of the heart. A man is a patriot if his heart beats true to his country.” Pat Tillman showed how true to his country, he was when he never gave up the army and died a hero. Pat was born on November 6, 1976 in San Jose, California. Went to high school at Leland high school and later went to college at Arizona State University. Pat was the oldest of 3 sons. He joined in U.S. military and died in a friendly fire on April 22, 2004. Pat Tillman was a wonderful man who showed loyalty, a very strong work ethic, and how modest, he was.

Pat Tillman had a lot of amazing qualities, but his work ethic was maybe one of his most amazing qualities he had. Tillman showed he had an amazing work ethic, when he never stopped working on

the field. Tillman not only showed his work ethic on the football field, but also in school. He worked so hard in classes and like some of his coaches said in the video, he was a very smart man and he graduated in three and a half years. Also, he Graduated with a 3.84 GPA. That really shows some strong work ethic to a lot of people because he had so much on his plate with school and football but, he always seemed to accomplish it.
Pat also had many great abilities. One of his great abilities would be his loyalty. Tillman exhibited this ability when his teammates and his wife would talk about him, They would say stuff like “ Tillman was a great man and a great teammate.” Also he showed how loyal he was when the St. Louis Rams wanted to pick him for their team and he said no, because the Cardinals took a chance on him and they're the only ones who did. Lastly Pat was a loyal guy because his wife (girlfriend at the time) never worried about him going for other girls when he got famous because she knew that he loved her and would never leave her. Tillman absolutely showed how loyal he was in the reading and movie because everyone could always count on him.
Pat Tillman was a great man, there is one specific thing that makes him such a great man and that, he was so modest.

He showed how modest, he was because many people wanted to put his face and name on: posters, T.V. commercials, billboards, and ect. He never let them because he didn't want people to think of him as that kind of person. He didn't want to be known for something that not everyone gets to be. Another way he showed how modest he was, he made his brother get the Arthur Ashe Courage Award for him. Lastly, he was so modest because one a reporter said “how do you think you played in that game.” He responded by saying I didn't do that well, but the team did great. All of these things show so much modesty on his behalf.

In conclusion Pat Tillman was a great man, a man of many talents and abilities. He had a wife that cared for him dearly. He was an amazing friend and teammate, He was always there for people when he needed them. He fought for his country and never backed down and died a hero. Pat Tillman was a wonderful man who showed loyalty, a very strong work ethic, and how modest he was. Pat is one of the most amazing people you'll ever meet in your life.
