Invisible Man Essay #1 The protagonist in the “Invisible man” by Ralph Ellison undergoes through many changes in his persona due to his devastating relationships with other people who have let him see the real world. Since he is from the southern states, he believed in the beginning that dark skin people should remain submissive towards the white men who have the power to change his life through opportunities. In this case, since he was a high school student, the narrator was able to get a full scholarship to a university but unfortunately that decision to attend and meet Dr.Bledsoe made him more aware about the ambitions of the other characters. Through this specific issues, the narrator becomes to evolve and transform into a different person and from my point of view the differences are very clear and shocking. He is still very submissive towards the ideology that he must remain inferior. As Bledsoe who is the director or the one in charge in the university, presents the narrator to Mr. Norton there is an important point where the narrator is in charge of taking care of Mr. Norton and unfortunately things don't go as planned. Bledsoe gets very man with the narrator and from that point I started to have some sympathy towards him because he had gain an enemy that would change his perspective on the people that lived during that time.
