The Tradegy of Romeo and Juliet is a famous play written in 1957. Almost everyone knows this play is about two star-crossed lovers who end up taking their own lives. When William Shakespeare wrote this play in the 14th century, he planned the plot to be wrapped around these two children's tragic death. Someone would have to be responsible for their death. The two characters who had a major impact on Romeo and Juliet's death was the Capulets and Friar Laurence.
In the play Juliet's parents, the Capulets, played a major role in the children's death. The Capulets major impacted their death because they were forcing Juliet to marry at a young age to someone she didn't know. In Act 1, Scene 2, of "The Tradegy of Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare, Lady Capulet chirrpily implies to Juliet " But now I'll tell thee joyful tidings girl, Marry, my child, early next Thursday morn. The County Paris, at Saint Peter's Church, Shall happily make thee there a joyful bride." Juliet's responses to Lady Capulet " He shall not make me there a joyful bride." This raises conflict because Juliet had already secretly married Romeo, knowing her parents would disapprove. If the Capulets never forced Juliet to marry Paris, she would have never had to fake her death and keep her

and Romeo' s marriage a secret. Another character who had a major impact on the children's death was Friar Laurence.
Friar Laurence filled Juliet's head with a crazy idea to fake her own death so she would have to marry Paris. In Act 2, Scene 6, of "The Tradegy of Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare, Juliet pleaded Friar Laurence " Tell me not, Friar, that thou Hearst of this, Unless you tell me how I may prevent it. God joined my heart and Romeo' s thou our hands." Friar Laurence responded "And, if thou rarest, I'll give remedy. " After Fraiar Laurence suggested Juliet take her own death, she went through with the plan. If Friar Laurence never have Juliet the plan to fake her own death, Romeo would have never heard of her
death. Finally Friar Laurence played an important role in the children's death because he never delivered the note Juliet wrote him explaining the plan. So now Romeo thought Juliet was actually dead when he heard the news. In Act 5, Scene 1, in "The Tradegy of Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare, Friar Laurence questions Friar John, " Who nate my letter, then, to Romeo?" Friar John responded, "I could not send it-here it is again-." Friar Laurence responded, "Unhappy fortune! By my brotherhood, The letter was not nice, but full of charge, Of dear import, and the neglecting it, may do much danger.". Since Friar Laurence never delivered the letter, Romeo never knew the plan actually thinking Juliet was dead. If Friar Laurence had given the letter to Romeo, he would've known the whole plan knowing she would wake up and he wouldn't have killed himself. In conclusion, when Juliet wakes up, after faking her death, she finds Romeo dead. This then leads her to kill herself, knowing she can't live without her love. Afterwards when they find the two children, they realise how many people suffered from the two families being rivals.

Taking Responsibility for the Deaths of Romeo and Juliet in William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet
He did not give much thought on how Juliet feels about the marriage and agrees to marry the two even though Juliet had not given him consent. For example, when Paris asks Capulet if Juliet would love him; Capulet responds, "Of my child 's love: I think she will be ruled. In all respects by me; nay, more, I doubt it not." (4.3.13-14). Capulet’s relationship with Juliet is superficial; he does not understand or know his daughter well. By creating the wedding, he causes Juliet to become desperate as she would be marrying someone she doesn’t love. To add to the matter, instead of trying to understand his daughter’s perspective, he becomes aggressive and gives her with an ultimatum. Capulet shouts, “Disobedient wretch! I tell thee what: get thee to church o 'Thursday, Or never after look me in the face.” (3.5.160-163). By forcing Juliet into marriage, she becomes desperate and causes her to begin considering death as a way out. "I 'll to the friar, to know his remedy; If all else fail, myself have power to die." (3.5.241-242). Capulet’s controlling and aggressive parenting forces Juliet to marry someone she does not love. Furthermore, this causes Juliet to starts considering suicide as a way out. Capulet’s actions to forcefully marry Juliet to Paris brings her death because it results in the Friar’s potion plan which would cause the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. If Capulet did not
Juliet?s parents, Lord and Lady Capulet, play an important role in Juliet?s tragic end. Lord Capulet insisted on Juliet marrying Paris and got angry at her when she refused, telling her to ?go with Paris to Saint Peter?s Church, or I will drag thee on a hurdle thither ? out, you baggage!? (III, iv, 154-156). This forcefulness demonstrated by her father has surely contributed to Juliet making rash decisions without thinking them through as her sense of isolation grew. Lord Capulet also never makes any attempt to end the generations of feuding between the Capulets and the Montagues. A peaceful relationship between the two families would have given Romeo and Juliet no reason to hide their love for each other. Most importantly, the Capulets were traditional parents, strictly adhering to the society around them. Lady Capulet compared Juliet to other girls by saying ?younger than you, here in Verona, ladies of esteem are already made mothers? (I, iii, 69-71) whi...
In Document B, “Think of marriage now”, Juliet tells her mother “ … no more deep will I endart mine eye / Than your consent gives strength to make it fly.” Juliet is telling Lady Capulet that she will only marry the person that her parents approve of. Juliet acts as if she will do what her parents say, which is why they do not take her seriously when Juliet says she does not want to marry Paris and force her to marry him, which drives Juliet to kill herself. Furthermore, Juliet also does not give her parents a reason to why she suddenly changed her mind about marrying paris. Juliet told her parent “ Delay this marriage for a month, a week…” When Juliet says to delay the marriage she does not tell her parents why she wanted to wait, because she did not give a valid reason her parents though she was just being difficult and thought Juliet would get over it and marry Paris. This resulted in Juliet faking her own death, which lead to Romeo and Juliet to take their own lives. Juliet is to blame because she acted as if she had no voice in the decisions that were made for her , causes her parent to overlook her opinion, Juliet also does not communicate why she does not want to marry Paris, which would have resulted in her parents to at least hear her
Romeo and Juliet is one of the most famous plays written. Tis play could have only been written by one of the greatest English poets, William Shakespeare. This play was a tragic love story between two star cross lovers, Romeo and Juliet. These two characters were so blinded by their love and affection for each other, that they were willing to die for one another. Now the blame of their deaths could have been on many different characters in the play. For instance, if Friar Lawrence had never married Romeo and Juliet, it wouldn’t have led to their death. Romeo is also another character that can be blamed for his and Juliet’s death because if Romeo had approached Juliet, no one would have died. But the character that carries most of the blame is Juliet. The reason why she is to blame is because she proposed marriage to Romeo, the second reason is because she didn’t go along with marrying Paris, the third reason is because she went to Friar Lawrence to ask for advice. Juliet is responsible for her
Capulet sets Juliet up with Paris, which enables Juliet’s temptation to Romeo because rebellion is fresh in her mind. “But woo her, gentle Paris, get her heart;/ My will to her consent is but a part.” (Ⅰ,ⅱ,16-17). Speaking with Paris, Capulet voices his idea about the need for Juliet to love Paris before they become married. Essentially, Capulet believes that love is necessary in Juliet’s relationship with Paris. Lady Capulet tells Juliet some good news to lessen her sorrow about Tybalt’s death, “Well, well, thou hast a careful father, child,/ One who, to put thee from thy heaviness,/ Hath sorted out a sudden day of joy/ That thou expects not, nor I looked not for.” (Ⅲ,ⅴ, 112-115). Lady Capulet gives Capulet full responsibility for the marriage. Moreover, Lady Capulet believes that it will be a good thing to boost Juliet’s morale after her cousin’s
In the play Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare, Juliet fakes her own death. Some responsibility for this goes to a number of characters in the play, with some characters being more influential and others playing small parts in the matter. Three stand out as contributors to her decision: Tybalt, Capulet, and Nurse.
Juliet and Friar Lawrence came up with a plan that had not worked out like it should have. Friar Lawrence had said in Act 4, scene 1, lines 93 - 103, “ … Take thou this vial, being then in bed, And this distilled liquor drink thou off; When presently through all the veins shall run A cold and drowsy humor, for no pulse Shall keep his native progress, but surcease; No warmth, no breath, shall testify thou livest; The roses in thy lips and cheeks shall fade To wanny ashes, thy eyes’ windows fall Like death when he shuts up the day of life; Each part, deprived of supple government, Shall, stiff and stark and cold, appear like death;” Juliet is to take this poison and it will make her seem as if she has died but she is still alive. Instead of making sure that Romeo has acquired the knowledge that Juliet is not actually dead, she drinks the vial of poison and “dies” assuming that Friar Lawrence was absolutely capable of getting the letter to Romeo that she is not actually dead. The message was not delivered to Romeo, instead Balthasar made it there and wheeped to Romeo that Juliet has died. In turn Romeo with his on impulse decisions, kills himself with poison as well which in turn, his mother dies of heart
