Luke Skywalker’s heroic path. During his path he soon discovers he has the force. In his journey he has a return from an unhealable wound. Also his Atonement was when Obi-wan comes to him as a ghost. Luke’s Apotheosis is Dark Vader’s death.
The reason of Luke Skywalker’s departure was caused by the death’s of his aunt and uncle. That wasn't the only reason it was also caused by Princess Leia’s message in R2D2 that caused him to leave his home planet Tatooine. Soon after that Luke sends the droids in search for Obi-wan Kenobi. When Luke ask’s him about his father he say’s his father was killed by Dark Vader. He is being forced to abide by the rules in prison and at first, does not get a warm welcome by his fellow prisoners because he refuses to abide by the captains order which is simply to get their minds right. He is soon challenged to a fight by one of his fellow inmates. Throughout the fight, it is clear that Luke is being brutally beaten. He can barely stand up on his feet but he refuses to give up. To me, this is a sign of resistance of power because he does not want to just face the fact that he lost this battle.
of Luke and in the end Han Solo helps Luke and they destroy the ‘Death
Luke’s eventual departure is set in motion by the purchase of two androids that were previously involved in the rebellion. Luke receives a call to aid in the form of a prerecorded message stored in one of the android’s memory. Luke finds a traveling companion and a teacher in Obi-wan Kenobi. Luke is hesitant to leave his home planet until the empire kills his Aunt and Uncle, leaving him no option but to fight. Luke’s next step is initiation.
Cool Hand Luke was based on the experiences of Lucas Jackson, a war hero who returned to the United States. Lucas is sentenced to prison after he is caught drunkenly cutting the heads off of parking meters for no apparent reason. For this offense, Lucas is given a sentence of two years at a notorious Florida prison camp run by a hard-core warden. Initially, Lucas is not well liked by either the guards or inmates due to the fact that he sees himself as an independent and ignores the pecking order in the prison. The reputation of Lucas begins to change when he shows resilience in a boxing match with Dragline, the alpha male inmate. His reputation is cemented when he bluffs at poker with a losing hand, earning him the name “Cool Hand Luke”. From this point forward Luke is revered by the other inmates and looked at as a leader and role model.
Unlike Odysseus, Luke listens to directions carefully and tries his best to save people. When Luke was trying to defeat the Death Star, he heard Obi Wan Kenobi in his mind. Obi Wan Kenobi told Luke to believe in The Force. Luke being
Both also have a sort of supernatural force helping them, giving them an advantage over ordinary people. Luke learns the ways of the "force" which about three other people have mastered: Darth Vader who is evil, Obi-Wan his mentor, and Yoda (who he does not know yet). Bruce learns the ways of advanced ancient Ninjitsu and the ways of being one with the shadows. The two of them are also both very limited in their allies fighting against a world of evil. Luke is contained to Obi-Wan, Chewbacca, Han Solo, and eventually Leah. Bruce is limited to the few uncorrupt people in his city, Alfred, Mr. Fox, Jim Gordon, and Rachel. During the ordeal, both hero's have a long line of conflict that they must deal with. Bruce has to save Rachel, escape his on fire mansion, fight Ra's al Ghul, and then stop the city from going crazy from the gas. Luke must save Leia, escape a trash compacter, watch Obi-Wan die, escape Darth Vader's station, and finally come back to destroy it. A last similarity is that both hero's rewards made them realize what they were actually destined for. Luke
The “Star Wars” franchise is familiar to most, and may be the easiest in which to discover the hero’s journey. In “Star Wars,” we find young Luke Skywalker, a rebellious youth, living on a farm on the isolated planet of Tatooine, taken in by his aunt and uncle following the death of his mother and father. Luke grows up with dreams of flying through the stars, only dreams until his chance meeting with Ben Kenobi. Kenobi informs Luke of his real past: that his father was a Jedi knight and that Luke was destined to become great. Though Kenobi’s guidance and Luke own adventurous spirit, he finds himself pushed into an intergalactic quest to become a valiant Jedi in a galaxy controlled by the evil Empire.
Heroes are often perceived as characters who leap great distances in a single bound. However, they actually have three distinct stages where they develop into the character we grow to love. In George Lucas` “StarWars IV: A New Hope.” Luke Skywalker is a quintessence of of an archetypal hero because he goes through initiation stage through distinct phases of separation, transformation and the return stage. Luke Skywalker begins his journey as farmer boy on a remote planet and becomes the hero of the galaxy. However, this process the not happen quickly. Rather, it is a difficult journey where is is faced with multiple tests and obstacles and pushes his endurance to the limit.
The constant theme throughout this movie is the battle between good and evil, right and wrong, and light and dark. Anakin Skywalker is the main protagonist throughout this film. There is an internal fight going on within him concerning what side of the force he should follow. The light side means he would have to allow Padme, his wife, to die. The dark side would allow him to save her or at least have the fear of losing her. He slowly starts to turn to the dark side with guidance from Darth Sidious (Chancellor Palpatine). Anakin believes he is doing the right thing which in turn will save Padme from dying in childbirth.

Anakin Skywalker was born into a slave company and is sold to Watto, a machinery broker. As a child he had short blond and quite ratty hair style. His clothes were poorly sewn together with holes and dirt all over them. Growing up on tatooine was hard for his mother because Anakin didn’t have many friends at all. Anakin was special for he had dreams of the future and could, at times, know when things were going to happen before they did. Growing up all anakin wanted to do was become a podracer and fly in space. Often he would get into trouble with Watto because of this. Later on Anakin met a juvenile lady named Padme. In Anakin's’ eyes he thought she was an angel and fell in love with her immediately. With Padme
The story of Anakin Skywalker has been around for many decades influencing the culture of its viewers. Anakin was a Jedi that felt limited even with the force, he believed that with that kind of power he should be able to save the life of the woman he loved, Padme. The Emperor had promise him that the dark side of the force could save people’s lives. Desperate to save Padme he went dark and did the bidding of the emperor. Sadly, he wasn’t able to save Padme, after she had died Anakin stayed with the dark force and is now known as Darth Vader. Anakin is relevant today because he portrays how we feel about wanting to save our loved one’s. We would do anything and everything if that meant we still have them there with us. He shows us that no matter
The foreshadowing in this story is when Luke goes into the cave and has the vision of him fighting with Darth Vader and Vader’s head is decapitated and roles to Luke where the mask is blown off revealing a face identical to Luke’s. Luke’s face in Darth Vader’s helmet is a hint to that he is not that different from Darth Vader. The reason it is foreshadowing is because in the next movie it is revealed that Darth Vader is Luke’s father. Yoda also hints that his father is Darth Vader when he was talking with Ben debating whether Luke is ready for training. Yoda talks about how he is quick to anger like his
Anakin Skywalker had the highest midi-chlorian count in the galaxy resulting in his expectation to be the balance of the force. Anakin transforms from a heroic Jedi from the light side into an evil Sith Lord on the dark side. Darth Vader never fully transformed to the dark side as there was always good left inside him. Anakin balances the force in the end when returning to the light side when he defeats his master to save his son, Luke Skywalker. Luke Skywalker is the son of Anakin Skywalker or Darth Vader, who was considered the most heroic Jedi of the
These messages continue to inspire new generations, especially with the new Star Wars movies that are currently being made. When The Force Awakens premiered, it provided the important themes and messages found in the original trilogy. For example, Finn rejecting the Empire and joining the rebel alliance reflects Luke’s choice to join the Light side, despite being Darth Vader’s son. Both choices demonstrate hope and one’s ability to choose their own path. Furthermore, the self-sacrifice Luke makes in A New Hope by endangering himself to destroy the Death Star parallels Rey’s sacrifice
