Barack Obama: The Best President Ever

Once every four years U.S. citizens vote for the next president of the United States. The winner is determined by how many Electoral College votes he/she receives. Some presidents are popular enough to get elected twice or eight years maximum. President Obama was elected as the 44th president of the United States in 2009 (“Barack Obama”). Barack Obama was the first African American president in the U.S. He attended Harvard law school, and married his high school sweetheart who share two daughters. Based upon his education, economy, and immigration, policies, President Barack Obama was a successful president.

President Obama’s policies on education helped make a great president. “He helped education by

making a $1 billion early education investment” (Lynch). That means that some of the families that can’t afford to put their kids in pre-school will be able to, because Obama pays for them. “As well as that he worked to improve Native American education. He worked with tribal nations to make sure Native Americans have equal educational and economic opportunities” (Lynch). This mad e sure Native Americans got good education, and didn’t fall behind everyone else. In addition to his stance on education, President Obama was a great leader, because of his ideas regarding economy.
His policies regarding economy made President Barack Obama a successful president. Obama helped our economy majorly by making many new jobs. “His policies put 22.309 million people to work from the depths of the recession in January 2010 by the end of his term. The only better job creator was Bill Clinton (Amadeo). Also for the economy he regulated big banks. That helped, because it protects the people’s money, and doesn’t let the banks do whatever they want. Not only did his economy policies make him a great president, but also his stance on immigration.
Finally President Barack Obama was considered to be an effective president, because of his policies on immigration. “He directed the government to fundamentally reshape its priorities for enforcing immigration laws. This helped by removing criminals instead of families, overhauling immigration courts, and making changes to the high skilled via system (Berman). He also eliminated the age cutoff for DACA. Before he did this it had only been open to ages under 31. The DACA stands for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. It is an American immigration policy started by the Obama administration in 2012 that allows certain illegal immigrants to the U.S. who entered the country as a minor to receive immigration detention in the United States.
President Obama is still thought to be a successful president, because of his policies on education, economy, and immigration. Some people didn’t like Obama and some thought he was a bad president, because many U.S. citizens didn’t like Obama care. However now almost everyone in the U.S. has health care. President Obama will be remembered as being the first black man elected as the president of the Unites States.
