Recommended: Importance of mission and vision statement

The White Helmet’s mission statement is rather simple, "to save the greatest number of lives in the shortest possible time and to minimize further injury to people and damage to property."" They are a search and rescue team that are made up of civilian whom are the first respondent whenever there are an airstrike bombing in Syria. The mission statement is very good and relevant to what they do. The rescue volunteer are always the first respondent whenever a bombing occurred and they are volunteering to put their life on the line so that they can save another individual who are the victim of these bombing. According to the Netflix documentary, the volunteer said that they are neutral and will saves anyone who is a victim of the bombing regardless of their stance on the war. And in the hope of being neutral, it will persuade those who were once a rebel with a gun to kill and turn them into a rebel with a cause to save. Syria is a war torn state where there are many rebel group such as ISIS and rebel group who are fighting ISIS and the regime of Assad. So there are a lot of fighting going on. everyday, they are people joining force in these group. The organization’s goal is to save life and to reduce the causality of the bombing. The cover of the Netflix documentary called “The White Helmets” have the motto "To save a life is to save all of humanity." which gave a strong first impression on me, and watching the documentary make me believed in the organization mission and what they are doing. overall, I think that they shouldn’t do anything to their mission statement and keep it with the use of branding themselves with the mission statement more and more. With a simple statement like "To save a life is to save all of humanity”, it created a positive message that people can get behind especially the western culture, since a majority of their donor are from western government and
