Two different foods can be both healthy in two different ways. The two foods can also be healthy in the same way too. The foods can also be unhealthy as well. The only way to determine which is more healthy is by reading the food label. Then decide which food has more or less of a given component. White bread and Whole Wheat bread are excellent and at the same time, terrible for your nutrition in some aspects. Fish and chicken are also superb and unhealthy for you in different aspects. This essay will focus on comparing and contrasting the foods listed above.
White bread, in the past, was usually only bought by the rich and whole wheat bread was usually purchased by the poorer classes. White bread has 135 calories and white wheat bread has 140 calories. White bread has 2.25 grams of fat and wheat bread has three. If you want to cut down on calories or fat in your diet wheat bread would be the better choice. Sodium is wonderful for you, but only in minuscule amounts. If you have too much, it increases your blood pressure. White bread has 210 milligrams of sodium and wheat bread has 340 milligrams of sodium. If you have high blood pressure white bread would definitely be a better choice. Wheat bread has some favorable properties to it as well. It has twice as much fiber as wheat bread and three fewer grams of sugar per serving. Wheat bread has two more grams of protein per serving and has much more calcium and iron.

Chicken has a higher fat content than fish but fish has a high amount of mercury inside. Fish has fewer calories, fat, cholesterol, and sodium than chicken. Fish has more calcium and vitamin A than chicken does. Chicken has a higher amount of protein and iron than fish does. Fish would be an all-around better choice to eat. On the other hand, if you want more protein or need more iron as a result of of low blood iron, causing anemia, chicken would be the better
choice. Foods that are low in calories, fat, cholesterol, sodium and sugar are. Food items with high calcium, iron, vitamins and fiber are considered . Depending on what you need more or less off in your diet will change what you look for. If you want to lose weight or cut down on sugar, white bread and fish would definitely be the best choice. If you need stronger bones, then fish and wheat bread would be better than their other alternatives. If you need more iron in your blood, wheat bread and chicken would have the most iron. If you need more vitamins and fiber, wheat bread and fish will bring better results. Lastly, if you want more protein chicken would be better than fish. Depending on what you need or want to loose in your diet will determine which food will be best. All of the foods are (and ) in different ways. In conclusion, white and wheat bread are for different reasons. Also chicken and fish are for different reasons too. There is no super food that gets a ten on every scale of nutrition. Some foods will score higher than others in some areas and low in some areas too. It would be wise to choose foods based on what you need in your diet rather than just eating “healthy” food.
