The book Wherever Nina Lies is about a girl named Ellie who’s sister goes missing 2 years prior. Her friend works at a used clothing store and a guy comes in with a box of stuff for the store. When Ellie and her friend, Amanda, look through it they find a drawing that Nina drew of Ellie with a number on it. They called the number and found out about the party. When they went to the party Ellie met a guy named Sean and they talked about finding her sister(who Sean actually knew and wants to kill her, because he’s psycho and it bothers me) and how Sean’s brother died so he has sympathy for her thinks it would be nice to drive her around Nebraska, Arizona, and California, from Illinois looking for Nina. Ellie goes to these different places looking …show more content…
for her sister with Sean who she just met and they find clues to where she might be. They go to a diner in Nebraska and find another picture she drew in the bathroom. They follow a bus she possibly got on from the diner and end up in Denver, Colorado.
They find a tattoo parlor where Nina visited and worked for a little bit then left. Sean and Ellie find out about a band Nina knew called Monster Hands, they meet a couple called the Jamies’ and they all drive to Phoenix, Arizona where they are playing their last gig. Ellie hopes Nina will be there and she goes to talk to the band about her. The band says they were friends with her for awhile and then she asked to be dropped off at house in California. Sean and Ellie go to the house and California after staying in a hotel with the Jamies’. Before they leave for California Amanda comes to the hotel to convince Ellie to get away from Sean because he is a weird psycho stalker. When Amanda tells Ellie what she heard about Sean and that he killing his brother Ellie doesn’t want to believe it but it’s true. She yells at Amanda to leave and she does. Sean heard all of this so he tries to convince Ellie that he isn’t crazy and that he just want to find Nina in California and kill her. Nina was dating Sean’s brother before she disappeared and Sean believed that him and Nina could be together if his brother was out of the picture so he kills him with some drugs he got at school because he’s ridiculously …show more content…
weird. After a birthday party for Sean’s brother, Nina finds out that he is dead and Sean’s parents think Nina had something to do with it. So she ran away to escape Sean and didn’t tell anyone but left little clues for Ellie and told one of her guy friends to keep watch over her and let Nina know, but anyway Sean is trying to convince Ellie that if they killed Nina they could be together and he would get his revenge. They drive to California and search for Nina, they were near where she lived and saw a group of hooligans wearing a shirt with Ellie’s face on it and asked who drew it and where the artist lived. They told them and so they waited a couple hours then went to her apartment. Ellie tricked Sean into thinking she was okay with killing her sister and running away with this psycho but she actually called this number back who has been calling Sean the whole trip but he never answered it. It was actually Nina calling trying to contact her sister to get away from Sean. Nina’s friend back in Illinois told her that he saw Ellie leaving with Sean whom he already knew about. Nina overheard Sean’s plan to come to California so she was prepared when they busted threw her apartment door with a gun. The hooligans were actually Nina’s friend she told to stand there with those shirts on so they could tell her when they saw Sean and Ellie coming. The cops come after Ellie stops Sean from shooting Nina. There was no more details on what happened to Sean after that which was upsetting and then they were all a happy family again pretty much 4 pages after Nina gave her back story after running away then it ended. Horrible ending but great plot. What I like about the book is that the author made Nina go missing for 2 years and her sister Ellie never gave up on finding her. It was the author’s first book and it was really good at details in the middle but towards the end she was slacking and didn’t give much more detail to what happened to Sean and everyone else. Another thing I liked was that it was set in many different places when Ellie and Sean start looking for Nina. In the beginning Amanda calls Ellie over and over about how she should get away from Sean but Ellie never listens because she had a crush on Sean. She should have listened to her because he turned out to be major crazy and other started talking to Ellie because he’s been stalking her to try and get to Nina to kill her. The thing I liked most about this book is the mystery, you never know where Nina is going to be till the end and you never know when the next plot twist, clue, or explanation is going to happen unless you keep reading. What I really dislike about this book is that it didn’t give an enormous amount of detail about what happened at the end to Sean, and what happened to Nina and Ellie when they went home except that their mom met them at the airport and that they were sitting on a curb watching fireworks on the very last page.
I understand that it was the author’s first novel and it was great all around but it needed more detail about Sean and his motive for wanting to kill Nina because he was the one who killed his brother and he obviously knew that so why would he go after Nina? In the book it told us that he loved her but I didn’t understand why he would want to shoot her when Sean and Ellie find her? Maybe because while Ellie was on the trip with him he fell in love with her and decided that he couldn’t be with Ellie if Nina was still alive because she was living proof that his brother was dead and it was all his fault. The author needed to read through the book one last time then ask herself what she needed to improve. She was probably rushing through finishing the book and that made it sloppy at the end. Another thing I didn’t like about the book is the random characters that showed up for one page but could have had a deeper explanation for them. Like the Jamies’ and Nina’s friend who was stalking Ellie for her and letting Nina know how she was doing. He could have had a deeper role and be more involved in the story than just a couple
chapters. I would recommend this book to someone, I would read it again also, it was very detailed and had a very good plot. I already gave it to someone to read. It did have some things to complain about like what happened to Sean after he got arrested, like did he go to jail? Did they find out he actually killed his brother? Does Ellie keep talking to him? Most likely not because he was crazy and wanted to kill people to be with Ellie but it was a good book, 4 out of 5 stars.
My overall opinion of this book was outstanding. The book was very detailed that I could almost picture the events happening in my head. I felt for Annie though, she had many tough decisions to make throughout the book. Especially telling her mother that her dad had been cheating on her and bad boy Sean not be there for her or show affection towards her. This book should actually be made into a movie. It has the potential to be made into an interesting one because of all the twisted events occurring throughout the story. Who doesn’t like a romantic yet mysterious time-traveling adventure? The director just needs the right people to put into it and they’d be all set.

Ralph hears the news about Bill and he begins to break down and feels guilty, he keeps saying that he needs to see Jack. Blanche tells the police what really happened, that Bill was framed by Ralph and it was all their faults. Bill got off of trail because there was new evidence that corroborated his innocence. Blanche then jumps out of the window right before she was going to either be prosecuted for accessory to murder or going to be used as a suspect against Ralph. Before she actually jumped she reminisced about how she affected and basically ruined Bill’s life since he cheated on her then got his girlfriend killed. Then the original guy at the beginning says his last few words about how marijuana could take over anyone’s
Sasha Dawn’s Oblivion is about Calliope Knowles a 16 year old girl who has a compulsion to write which is also known as graphomania. Calliope’s compulsion to write was brought on by the disappearance of her father the reverend of the Holy Promise church, and a young girl from the church Hannah Ryne’s, as it gets closer to the anniversary of the disappearance Calliope starts to write and remember more of the night. This book is enjoyable because it doesn’t just focus on Calliope’s urges to write it also looks into her past before the night she was found in an abandoned apartment writing “I killed him” on the walls, the book also goes into detail about her foster family and her relationship with her friends.

The book is great with the plot mainly focused in the courtroom, but it feels like the author put the plot of the story from different events that happened to younger people and not from one whole event. Finally, the document went into depth of how the defense attorney went on to get every piece of evidence as possible to make the eyes of the jury see that Brenton Butler was not the person that shot and killed the
The book had a few characters that I liked, but a lot of characters that I disliked. For example Yasmine was a character that I disliked. I didn’t like her because she brought pain to Paige’s life. Yasmine and Paige were best friends for months in Sixth grade. They were constantly doing fun activities together, like having sleepovers or planning each other’s birthday parties, but all that was ruined by a mistake Yasmine made. Paige and Yasmine were at a school dance, when
Fans of the novel found that the way the novel is written, you never want to put it down and the action keeps things moving and is quite entertaining. The novel pulls you in and makes you love each of the main characters in it. This is a great series for anyone to read, and it is audience friendly for whoever reads them. There is quite a bit of suspense that will make the novel exceed readers 's expectations, and the twists and turns keeps you guessing and lets nothing be predictable. Some like the way this group of people bands together when they really need to and keep things together so they can all stop the
The ending of this book was a cliffhanger. In my opinion that is the worse kind of ending, but that’s how that writing persuades the reader to get the next book in the series. Without giving too much away about the end of the story, it was very unexpected. To be
There are some things I would have changed about the novel to make it more interesting reading and to broaden the type of audience it addresses. In my opinion, the book was kind of targeted at a feminine audience, especially single mothers. When Taylor and Lou Ann get together, Lou Ann sounds kind of pathetic saying " Who in the world would want to move in here with us" (102), yet they develop a strong friendship regardless. I had kind of a hard time focusing on what was going on and who was doing what mainly because the story wasn't interesting enough to attract my attention. Perhaps by throwing in a little more suspense or more action, the novel would have been more fun to read.
Andy goes back to school and talks to his basketball coach about how he feels about Rob's death and how his fiends and family feel about the accident. In addition, they discuss Andy's sentence because Andy keeps punishing himself for Rob's death. Everybody at school was crying during Rob's memorial service. Grief Counselors from downtown come to the school to try to get the kids to share their feelings.

When they arrive at the bridge a group of people say they saw a women jumped off and commit suicide about five minutes before they arrived.
He made Anders seem like a negative and saracteric person that is lonely. When he stated that Anders had a murdeous temper I assumed someone as going to die, but I did not think it was going to be him. The rising action seemed a litte short. However, I did enjoy his smart remarks to the louder ladies in front of him. When the story hit the turning point my attention was defintiley on what would happen next. After the one of the robbers and Anders started arguing it was almost obvious to me that Anders was going to be the one with a bullet in his brain. The story became boring when the Wolff kept going through his memories. He did not explain anything about Anders life before he was shot, so the information was a bit over whelming and not nessecary. I do believe there was also a spelling error in the beginning of one of the paragraphs. The name he used was Ambers but in the next sentence he used Anders again. I was not pleased with the ending. Although, the ending was not interesting, I would read another one of this authors story, because I am curious to see what else he writes
Richardson's method of writing is kind of hard to comprehend at first. Every chapter would start off with a new character narrarating their story. You don't know who it is until a few sentences later. The chapter starts with a character, but some chapters would have two or three nararators with a couple paragraphs each character. Sometimes it would be confusing, but once I found out who was talking, I would sometimes have to reread the paragraph from the start to understand the situatiuon. Another thing that bothered, maybe it wasn't the authour's fault, was that many quotation marks were misplaced all over the book. the first few were tolerable, but after a while it got annoying. That bothered me much and like I said, I'm not sure if it was the author or the publisher. I don't really like the style, but it's what the author used to get many stories into one.
The main idea of the book was a girl learning to cope with her past and and trying to grow from it. Charlie starts of in a mental institution for self-harm. She is then taken out of the place because of her mother’s lack of money. She goes to Arizona to be helped out by her friend Mikey, which is gone most of the time. Charlie gets a job at a weird coffee place and meets a guy named Riley, where they instantly get a connection. The rest of the book is Charlie trying to learn how to deal with all of her past hardships and find a better way to deal with the memories and pain. The only two coping methods she seemed
