I like to think for the most part that, I am a person that gets along with everyone. I am a positive person and open to ideas. Negativity doesn't play a role in my life because I believe that if one door closes another one tends to open. In fact, some of the character traits that can define me as a person are: optimistic, determined, hardworking, responsible, stubborn, and anxious. My friends, for example, would say I'm too kind, generous and the opposite of self-serve. Instead, I do a lot to help and volunteer. They will also say that I'm honest and that I wouldn't lie myself out to achieve something that is not deserved. Ever since I can remember I have always thought about others before me. I wouldn't dare to sleep knowing that my family …show more content…
I tend to read a lot of articles on what to eat, how to exercise and the well-being of the mind. I started this new lifestyle journey two months ago. I decided to enter this journey because I truly believe in taking care of the body and mind. Eating the right foods and exercising is a huge role in my everyday life. There are many positive side effects I have noticed within myself such as being able to sleep more, having the energy to move around, relaxing, rarely getting ill, and being less anxious. I believe that more people should consider their health to be important. I often think that majority of the issue occurs when people hear "healthy lifestyle". There are times when USDA is going to walk a department to inspect it and people around me are going crazy. I try to stay calm because freaking out over the situation isn't going to help. Instead, of freaking out I inspect the room before they step a foot inside the department and get others to inspect as well. However, I do get upset when they don't listen and USDA writes an NR for it being dirty. It's my job as a site technical service for safety and food safety to follow-up on the NR and to prevent it from happening again. Majority of the times I get anxious because I just care too much about something and try to fix it until I can't anymore. Sometimes it gets to the point where I can create a hostile environment. Rather than blaming or gossiping about the circumstance I analyze the situation and base my opinion. Moreover, I can relate to the people around me a lot because we all have a job to do and we try to do our best to accomplish them even when they fall apart. I would, however, like to change my behavior when it comes to caring about something I'm passionate
I tend to be analytical, as previously mentioned, and supportive of others. Upholding high principles of morality and ethics have made me flourish as I have a lot of empathy towards the needy.

Overall, I am pleased with the changes that I have made to my diet, and plan to continue working towards my goals. In order to accomplish my goals in the future, I will try to slowly increase my fruit, vegetable, and whole grain consumption. Another goal that I need to work on is to slowly limit the amount of meat products that I consume. Incorporating these changes will help me accomplish my goals of increasing my calories and decreasing my protein intake to the recommended values set by the Dietary Reference intakes. As long as I can continue to practice these healthier ways of eating, I am sure to have a longer and healthier life and decrease my risk of chronic diseases as I age.
I love people. Since I am 81% extroverted, I gain energy from being with others and seek to make the people I love happy and one of my greatest joys is to see those I love succeed and have their dreams come true (16 Personalities, 2017). I am loyal, but I tend go somewhat overboard when trying to avoid conflict or make things work in a relationship. I can allow myself to be hurt by being transparent and then

Having a healthy body can contribute to an individual’s overall well being and happiness. In the reading about virtue and health by Gary Ferngren, we learn about the meaning of ‘virtue’ in the ancient world which referred to the “quality or proficiency of men…” instead of in reference to moral behavior (Ferngren 176).
