The story “What, of This Goldfish, Would You Wish” is a story about a young guy named Yoni going around town asking citizens if they could have three wishes from a talking goldfish. He went around town hoping somebody would wish for world peace. Also for a little reward he was hoping to get a few coins for his work. My research was over the folktale called “The Turkey Maiden.” ‘The Turkey Maiden’ is about a widower daughter named Rosa is how was being mistreated by her step family. Out came a dwarf who gave her the best food and a fire to keep warm. She kept on her journey and dwarf went with her. They arrived at a palace. The dwarf told her to go in and ask for work. She got the job as a Turkey Maiden. The dwarf told her to say a saying every evening, as the sun sets. The saying went: Turkey, Turkey Oh, if only the king’s son were to fall in love with me! And the turkeys would answer: Yes, Yes, yes! Gobble, gobble, gobble! But every time this occurred a turkey would die. The king noticed that his turkey count was fewer than before but he didn’t know what why his turkey was missing so he went on. One day the prince came home from school and saw Rosa in her wood dress. Rosa immediately fell in love. One day the king’s son fell ill. Nobody could help him except for Rosa. The dwarf told her to tell the king she could heal the prince. At first, she was not allowed but the prince was not getting better so the king had no choice to allow Rosa to try to heal him. Rosa was still wearing her wood dress and decided to use the last nut for a beautiful gown. They finally made it to the Prince’s room and the moment the Prince saw Rosa he started feeling

In a little city name Casper Wyoming there seemed to be some Turkey trouble. It may seem strange in any other city that this was quite the normal in Casper. You see, there where many turkey's that roamed the town. But this was one very special turkey, Turkey Tom. Turkey Tom was quite a character and would cause a lot of havoc. You would often see him at Dean Morgan one of the middle schools in Casper Wyoming. But, he created most of the chaos at a local college a few blocks away. Turkey Tom would often block the traffic at the intersection. Although, this was very frustrating to the citizens of Casper were very caring people and would stop to let Turkey Tom cross. One night after a very busy day and Turkey Tom was resting peacefully.

Most Americans are familiar with the story of the first Thanksgiving. The Pilgrims came on the MayFlower to the “New World” where they had decided to create a society without harsh British Rule. They built homes, hunted, grew crops, and became a relatively successful society. One day an Indian tribe approached them with the gift of a turkey and thus began the peaceful interactions between Native Americans and new Americans. Or at least, that is what we have been taught to believe (Scholastic.com).
