What is real image of the US and what is the worlds view of us? These are the real questions that many wonder. What makes us special? What makes us so unique from other countries? At times I have wondered the same question, I often wonder how the United States has maintain the capacity that it is currently at. With the US having many different aspects in the government system that makes us unique. Along with the very different way that the United States has won each of the major battles. The most obvious one of all being that the US has a very diverse population. The US has grown to become the largest countries in the world in just a few hundred years. While yes the US did have all of these accomplishments, there are still some certain parts that happened in our history that we can regret. Right in the beginning the took part in the genocide of the Native americans. While taking over the natives land that US managed to push out and kill many of the native americans. Once the US understood that this was something that can’t happen anymore. They came together and try to make right with the Native Americans with giving back some of their land. While the Native Americans aren't the only thing that has gone wrong for the US. The participation in many wars outside of the US it has lead to many different conflicts. Even though the US had full intention of helping and the good reason to help the countries that are struggling. In class we have discussed image over the course of the semester. We have read through many different articles over this very topic. One of them being, “ Just How Special Is America Anyway?” which discussed some of the myths of America. Within the article under myth 2 it gives us some startling facts about the number of deaths that were caused by the US. We’ll that image to many people around the world who watch the US. Will say that the US is the most amazing country in the world. Which is true I mean we created democracy, help with foreign aid, strong military force along with being the leading consumer in the world. Once you look past all the good there is still trouble that the US still struggles with yet. All the struggles including the Native Americans, killing hundreds of people and mass murders in are own country due to guns. Overall, with all of this negativity aside there is no other country that has an impressive resume like the US. No, the US is not prefect in anyway but what country is. In reality hundreds of thousands of people try to move the US every year, that doesn’t sound like a country that people don’t like are image. So as I stated before I have a feeling that are founding fathers want to keep this image of the US like that. Along with our current americans would also want to keep it
