What makes us tick?
Whatever it is that causes us to do what we do; on occasion leads us into deep trouble.
It is possible to ignore the less than desirable results of our actions for a time. We can put the bad experience down to the luck of the game. Being misunderstood could be in with a chance. Maybe ‘maybe,’ but time is running out.
The hard fact is that each one of us is totally responsible for the outward flow from our brains (as in what we do and or say) even our thoughts can be projected.
When the damage is evidenced we regret what we have done. Sometimes as the words come out of our mouth we are aware, but we cannot stop the destructive flow.
We are out of control, and at this time we are running on automatic. That is out of control of our own brain, a potentially dangerous situation, don’t you think?
Where does this automation come from?
Basically it is a rehash of our conditioning that we absorbed from our principle teachers from birth. We are programmed to respond in a certain way to a given set of conditions.
As an adult it is a mindless response to a situation that may have only a slight resemblance to the original.
Get Real, Get Responsible
We need to control of our own brain. Total responsibility for everything that we put out is essential. What we do, say or even think, stays with us.
To do that we have first to accept total responsibility for everything that we put out. What we do, and or say, or even think.
Accepting that where you are or will be is the result of our own decision-making is hard because the opportunity to blame someone else is eliminated.
It means that you have to look within yourself for all the answers.
To get more control we need some knowledge about how the br...

In fact, whatever it is you believe could be wrong! However if you believe in yourself you will create an exception.
The reason for this is that it is you, and you alone who are responsible for you.
No one else can run your brain, except and unless you abdicate your personal responsibility.
We could begin with me telling you what to do, but that would be contrary to my code.
What I choose to do is to break out various human emotions, with which you may identify. I go on to explain the cause and effect of those emotions, and discuss how you might avoid the repercussions associated with them.
Since this is in book form the emotions are listed in a lineal way. However they are not listed by their importance.
For this reason headings are by emotion and each section is complete. You may choose to read these in your preferred order or not at all.
Do we control the judgments and decisions that we make every day? In the book,
“I believe that we are solely responsible for our choices, and we have to accept the consequences of every deed, word, and thought throughout our lifetime” Elisabeth Kubler-Ross.
we fail to see the harm that we are doing, and will continue to do if we do not
Many fatal consequences, caused by illogical reactions to problematic situations, can be avoided through a few easy, simple and “common sense” steps. In the essay “Deadly Mind Traps” author Jeff Wise writes to the everyday man and woman. Mr. Wise in his essay explains how the average person can make deadly mistakes even though logically they make little sense. Wise, offers multiple key terms to help the reader better understand his reasoning for his thesis. As well as, Wise produces multiple examples for the reader to connect the key terms to real life situations. Moreover, Wise not only gives key terms and examples to support his thesis he also gives examples of how to stay out of those situations. Wise from his essay demonstrates that his reader is an everyday person by using words such as we, us, you and our. And he uses everyday simplified words and terms which suggest inclusion instead of exclusion.
One concept that I have to keep in mind about being successful, is that I must ‘Accept Personal Responsibility’. Accepting Personal Pesponsibility allows me to see where I
Through these, the portrayal of the complex nature of happiness is shown to contribute to the enduring value of the film through the realistic style of the film and by showing different perspectives on the same person showing the audience that different people view actions in different
Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
Why is it that some people blame others, while others blame themselves? According to the longstanding college professor, Skip Downing, the answer to this problem lies in his definitions of two roles that we all play: Creators and Victims. From his book, On Course: Strategies for Creating Success in College and in Life, Downing believes, in essence, that Creators are people who often snatch control of their destiny to create the outcome they wish it to be. They understand that they have the control to live the satisfying lives they pine for. Victims, on the other hand, are the exact opposite of that. They are the kind of people who fall into holes that they are adamant that they did not fall into by themselves and are oblivious to the ladder

Being an individual enables us to think for ourselves, deciding what is right and what is
The myth about the brain is that, it controls the mind. Also people that the mind is the activity of the brain. However, both statements are untrue. I believe that there is a relationship between the brain and the mind forming a triangle of well- being for an individual. In my opinion, the brain is the passive path of existence because every information from the external environment produce a response either internally or externally without analysis. The brain transfers these information into our consciousness, but the active mind which analyzes the information and pays attention to both the benefits and disadvantages of the information before making choices about whether to listen or not. The brain cannot be defined without involving its
First given as a speech, this article is written as an attack on human emotion.
The brain is the control center of the human body. It sends and receives millions of signals every second, day and night, in the form of hormones, nerve impulses, and chemical messengers. This exchange of information makes us move, eat, sleep, and think.
This world has turned into a place where people are required to take full responsibility for their actions and words. Often we do this informally, via moral judgment or if not through legal judgment. In other words we become morally responsible, deserving praise, blame, reward or punishment for an act or omission based upon one’s moral obligations, thus contradicting the concept of free will. Main viewpoints on moral responsibility interact with the following three, constructed by human action: determinism, compatibilism and libertarianism. A philosopher once said “Just as we separated the concept ‘free’ from the concept of ‘will’ in order to better understand ‘free will,’ so we need to separate ‘moral’ and responsibility."
Have you ever wondered why people have certain reactions? I chose chapter eight on emotions for my reflection paper because emotions are something that everyone has and feels, yet cannot always explain or react to in the way you would expect. Personally, I have never been great at responding to emotions in a way that I would not regret in the future. Thus, naturally being drawn to this chapter as a way to expand my knowledge on how to react to things more positively. I also wanted to learn why I feel a certain way after events that would not affect most people and be reassured about my feelings. Opposite to that, it is nice to see that, while not always productive, others have the same reaction habits. Overall, emotions are a complicated
