Veterans Have you ever wondered what life in America would be like without veterans? A veteran is a hero. Someone who fought for the freedoms I have. I am very thankful that America has people willing to serve in the Armed Forces to protect my freedom. Veterans are people that protect you. They served in the Armed Force for an extended amount of time. Without veterans, we probably would not even have our ten amendments. Think about it. In other countries around the world people don’t have any rights and freedoms. America is one of the few countries in which we have freedom. If it weren’t for our veterans we would not have any rights. So thank you for anybody that fought for our countries and our rights. Veterans Have to be
Our veterans helped make our country the best country, which is known for fact.Today, because of our veterans I’m proud to say that every citizen has the right to speak and share their voice no matter what their race is. In some countries, there are still racial conflicts and all races.I am also proud to say that every child in America,no matter what their race is, they can have a free education. Most children in other countries are not allowed to go to school because they can’t afford it instead, they go to work
When you look into veterans eyes, you can see several things that are important. The pride shines through, the pride of serving ones country, and the dedication to protect other peoples freedom even it if requires paying the ultimate price. These men and women give their lives to give us our freedom. As a one of the many individuals that they are protecting it is vital that we see that pride and appreciate where it comes from.
Soldiers, both men and women, risk their lives fighting for our country and when they come home they receive far fewer benefits than would be expected. Throughout history the support for veterans has lessened. The amount of money that is provided to veterans for healthcare and housing after returning to the states has severely decreased since WWI.
One of the most serious problems facing all veterans today is the lack of proper healthcare. Soldiers, sailors and airmen are leaving active duty without having proper healthcare to cover their physical or mental injuries. The department responsible for veteran’s healthcare is the Department of Veterans Affairs. (VA) According to The department of Veterans Affairs website, “The United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is a government-run military veteran benefit system with Cabinet-level status. It is responsible for administering programs of veterans’ benefits for veterans, their families, and survivors. The benefits provided include disability compensation, pension, education, home loans, life insurance, vocational rehabilitation, survivors’ benefits, medical benefits and burial benefits. It is administered by the United States Secretary of Veterans Affairs.” The VA, who was formerly called the Veterans Administration, was established 21 July 1930, to consolidate and coordinate government activities affecting war veterans. The VA encompassed the functions of the former U.S. Veterans' Bureau, the Bureau of Pensions of the Interior Department and the National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers. On 25 October 1988, President Ronald Reagan signed legislation creating a new federal Cabinet-level Department of Veterans Affairs to replace the Veterans Administration effective 15 March 1989 (V.A.)
The VA (Veterans Affair) Health Care System is one of the largest, most advanced health care networks in the U.S. The VA Health Care System is the provider for veterans, retirees and their dependents and manages all their health care. The VA Health Care is actually one part of the Department of Veterans Affairs. There is also VA Benefits Administration which has to do with compensations and pensions. Then the other part of the VA is the National Cemetery Administration which is in charge of the cemeteries and providing burial and memorial benefits. All these parts make up the Department of Veterans Affairs. (VA History)
Without them, our nation would not have been protected. They put their lives on the line for you and me and Cruz wants to continue building on their progress by protecting our nation by fighting the enemy. Cruz also believes that we should honor our veterans for the work and dedication they showed. When Ted Cruz was the senator he served on the Armed Service Committee, which is a group that works to give veterans the care they disserve (Troops and Veterans). “Sen. Cruz sponsored a provision to expand Purple Heart eligibility to members of the armed forces who have been killed or wounded in an attack inspired or motivated by a foreign terrorist organization, as was tragically the case in the 9-11 attack and the 2009 Fort Hood shooting” (Troops and Veterans). While others might think it is unnecessary and a waste of time, Cruz loves his people and believes that nothing should go unnoticed (Troops and Veterans). When people tried to remove the Mojave Desert Veteran’s Memorial Cross, Ted Cruz went to court to protect this monument that is so special to many veterans (TED CRUZ IN
Our history would be nothing without our fellow american veterans that fought for our freedom. Like the revolutionary war which won us the declaration of independence and we got freedom and rights. They help keep us safe from all of our enemies out there in the world so we can go home and be safe. almost everything in history revolves around war and veterans. They are one of the best things to happen to america. They are what we need in america they helped us get freedom and laws. the stop all of the bad people in the world that want to do harm to the united
The veterans act as the skin protecting our organs and anything else from falling out, altogether it forms the human. Throughout the human's life there are physical injuries and emotional pain from the wars in our country and outside our country we decided to participate in.Also humans aren’t perfect they make mistakes, but this human is pretty darn close because everyone else wants to be like this human. In America, Veterans Day annually falls on November 11 thanking the Veterans are thanked for their services of the USA. The veterans have made many sacrifices like being away from their families, risking their safety of their lives and their mental wellness to protect ours, the skin has also sacrificed
U.S. veterans have helped the life I and many others live in, in so many different ways. If it weren’t for them fighting in the war for our independence we might be in the country of England with a queen and were we don’t get to pick who leads us. Veterans have helped by fighting for getting rid of slavery, like if it wasn’t for them my step-dad might be working for some random slave owner I probably wouldn’t have met him. They helped find terrorists like Osama bin Laden, he might have still been out planning terrorism if veterans didn’t fight to find and kill him. To be a veteran means you had the courage and strength to fight for other people no matter the cost even when you knew you could’ve died out there.
Why do you think that veterans are American hero´s? Veterans are American hero´s because they gave up their time to go fight for our freedom. Without the veterans, we would not have the opportunities to do what we would usually do on a daily basis. Without the fighting that they have done for us, we would not have a free world. When the veterans were fighting for our freedom they got the greatest achievement of all, getting America its freedom that we have to this day. People often think that veterans gave up their lives but really they gave up their own personal time to go fight rather than doing what could be doing at their homes. Giving up their time was one of the great things that the veterans have done while they were serving in the war
Veterans are a big part in our country today! If we didn't have past veterans i wouldn't be sitting here talking and typing this right now. The present and fallen vets have missed many holidays, birthdays, and many other family events and even watching their favorite sports team just so they can fight for us and give us the freedom we have today. The veterans may have done some bad things it seems like to us,but think about it if they didnt do what they did we would have nothing these days and we may not even be writing/typing this. Vets have went threw alot in wore, they may lose body parts or hearing heck may even risk their own life. Most vets serve over 5 years unless they pass or get a injury that causes them to not be able to serve. Some
I will like to think all of the veterans for what they did for all the things they had did for America. First I will to start by saying thank you for giving us freedom. All of yall spent years fighting for us to give us rights and freedom.Y'all also left your family's to go and fight wars for America. Even though the was were hard y'all still made it out alive. If it wasn't for y'all America will not be like how it it today. ‘’Heros don't wear capes or tights they wear dog tags and combat boots.’’ - unown. See we don't need heroes to save us because of the veterans that we have win every battle that had been thrown at you. No one have ever been able to beat yall because yall are the best at winning.
Veterans don’t even know me or my family but they are still sacrificing their time for us. We should make them feel good and show them how much we appreciate them not just for today but for the end of our lives.
First, I want to dedicate the veteran’s for always protecting our freedom by fighting against other countries mostly, are actually everyday.Hero’s always do what’s right for their country.A lot of veteran’s lose their lives just for us.Veterans are brave because they risk their lives for us so we won’t have any problems with other countries.I think they get ready by practicing with their group
Veterans and current servers fought and continue to fight to keep this country safe and free. If it wasn’t for many soldiers that fought for our freedom against Britain, this country might be very different from today. In fact, respect needs to be given to the families as well. Their families have lost precious time with their loved ones because of them not being home. Some of these men and women will never come home because they die serving the country that they love. They don’t have to fight but that is how they show their love for our country. Their families lose out on a lot too because they have to deal with the heartache of not seeing their loved ones for months and in some cases even
