What is a Life Worth
Steve Jobs is trying to say that you should live every day like it is your last. He knew his life had value to him and his family. He felt like life was worth living even though once in a while a hard choice would come along to toughen his life. Making a choice is very hard, but when making a choice it should be one that you will not regret later in life. Making choices is one of the hardest things in life so you must see all the good and all the bad to the outcome of your options. Live everyday like it is your last. Ebert says that life is a very precious thing. Hamlet wants to die, but him not knowing what is on the other side scares so he decides to live. Even though Ebert had to get surgery, he got through it and learned to still live his life with no regrets.
Living every day like it is your last is good way to live. He wanted to know what his life was worth. So he decided to make something of it. He went to Stanford dropped out, best decision of his life, then started up his own company. He realized that one day you can be the richest man on earth then th...
When Jutta and Werner are sitting by the radio, the Frenchman ends his forecast by saying this.Werner tries to escape the real world with Hitler’s influence by listening to the radio that he and his sister found. This quote is a reoccurring theme throughout the story. This quote means that every human should live their lives to its fullest potential and see and do whatever they can before they die. This quote interest me because it’s stressing one of the fundamental ideals of life. How we choose to live our lives is very important and living it the best we can is what everyone wants. With
In “Roger Ebert: The Essential Man” by Chris Jones, Ebert displays an astonishing amount of optimism despite the many hard obstacles physically and emotionally, that he has gone through. Ebert Values life differently from the rest of us because he knows what it's like to lose someone close to you. Ebert focuses on what makes him happy like his work and the good memories of his life. Ebert writes about death saying “I know it is coming, and I don not fear it”. Ebert has comes to terms with his inevitability and chooses to look on the brightside. Ebert is the type of person to not agree with putting a price tag on life. He knows that life is unique.
“I have lived every day of my life asking myself ‘is what I’m doing reflective of who I am? Or who I want to be?’ If not...”
He achieved so many of his dreams and lead his life in a such a magnificent way. To me his statement speaks the truth. To lead your life in the best way possible for you, is to pursue and achieve your dreams first. By doing this, you can lead your life doing what you love and living in the way you want. No one wants to live their life not pursuing something.
. ." (lines 5-7). In this, he tries to begin to explain that in order to truly live the fullest life possible, one must live simply; literally "driv[ing] life into a corner, and reduc[ing] it to its lowest terms" is the only way to achieve fullness. Later, he also states: "Let us spend one day as deliberately as Nature, and not be thrown off the track by every nutshell and mosquito’s wing that falls on the rails. Let us rise early and fast, or break fast, gently and without [disturbance]; let company come and let company go, let the bells ring and the children cry. . ." (lines 13-16). In this, he expresses that one should not let the daily disturbances of life affect oneself. Life should be lived with litle disturbance, and even such disturbances should not be taken as seriously. In choosing to give examples, he shows just how many things go on that one can be pestered with, and that one should choose to ignore them and let them pass by. He also states: "Let us settle ourselves, and work and wedge our feet downward through the mud
“The unexamined life is not worth living” and “Life is about the journey, not the destination.” I relate to both of this quotes because we all have purpose in our life. We plan out life to be certain way. I plan week in advance so I know what is going to happen this week, what is in plate that I have to take care of it before the time. You need to be control on your life not others. Some people just float though life. They think of their present but they don’t think for their future. They just do the stuff right now and later they will worry about other stuff. They are never ready for future outcome. Only you know how you want to live your life, it’s up to you how you want live it. As I say I plan week ahead for my classes, my work and my family. But it doesn’t always go as it planned. In life you always have to be ready to face some problem. If you live through the problems that is call living life. My dad always tells me that, if you accept the challenge, or face some bad time with smile on face, you will always come out of there and then even the big problems comes you will be ready for it. Don’t ever get nervous for the small problems. Life is made of good time and bad

The quote itself can be translated into, an everyday person does not want to be happy and ambition. That person will settle with what will keep them alive. I agree with this quote for a few reasons. To begin, the people in today’s
He believes that life is made for living and that you shouldn’t waste your life away and you have to live life to its fullest because you never know what could happen. He like to install the spirit of adventure in life because what’s life without having some adventure in your life or even just some fun. “Forever and forever when I move. How dull it is to pause, to make an end, to rust unburnished, not to shine in use! As though to breathe were life. Life piled on life were all too little, and of one to me little remains; but every hour is saved from that eternal silence, something more, a bringer of new things; and vile it were for some three suns to store and hoard myself, and this gray spirit yearning in desire to follow knowledge like a sinking star, beyond the utmost bound of human thought. (Lines
In other words, no two individuals look at the life the same manner. I agree with this quotation. Maggie Johnson from Maggie: a Girl of the Street by Stephen Crane and Kino from The Pearl by John Steinbeck demonstrate this idea. Life could change for the good because of money and then you would be happy, but that was not the case your life changes to sadness and death.
I think that what the author was trying to imply in this passage was that in his personal experience, he has noticed that many people take many things for granted and that they don’t live their lives according to what they want and need to do. So much is wasted during one’s lifetime, and people just allow their lives to pass them by.
Many individuals have different aspects as to how life should be valued. Some individuals live life a day at a time while attempting to make the most as if their last breath was upcoming. In a Stanford Commencement in 2005, Apple CEO Steve Jobs quo...
...is comparing life to the indulgence of a drink. Furthermore, he is corresponding this to being able to live life to the fullest and enduring life one adventure at a time.
“For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” (Matthew 16:26) This verse asks the question how can someone profit or take advantage of the world if they damage or lose their character along the way, what is worth more than one’s soul? This question can help one in determining their ethics by balancing what is right, meaningful, and most important to them. Knowing and understanding one’s ethical values is important on the path towards achieving one’s goals.
American society today is all about living life to the fullest and unlocking your full potential in life. Society tell us teenagers that if we do good in school we can get into a good college and get a good degree, and there are so many options so that you can do anything and be anything. This quote is saying exactly that, live your life to the fullest and be the owner of your life, you don’t have to conform to what others are doing. Living life to the fullest to me means that you can’t always do what people tell you to do, sometimes you have to be a nonconformist and do what you want. Living life to the fullest is finding your niche in life and doing everything you possibly can to satisfy it. For example I really want to go to Stanford, society tells me that I can do anything if I put my mind to it, even though Stanford’s acceptance rate is the lowest in the country. I’m not going to give up I’m going to live my life to the fullest and try my best to get in. Another example would be to just go out and do things you would never do, like a bucket list but you’re not dying
