Throughout all NBA history MVP candidates were either picked because they average a triple double, or carried their team to the playoffs. Well this year is no different; It is going to be a close race, but in the end it all comes down to who the media analysis choose or who they are feeling to pick to be the NBA MVP.
When picking an NBA MVP candidate there is plenty of things to look for such as player stats, players team record, and how much of a leader they are. They think the most important one is how the player affects their team stats. Kyrie Irving from the Boston Celtics has the fourth best record overall and he is second best record in the East. He has very young players on his team but he does also have one all star by his side and that’s Al Horford. Compared to the other teams his is the least stacked.

Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant of the Golden State Warriors are also one of the favorites to win the MVP this year.
They boast the best record overall and in the West, also it seems likely they are going to keep it that way. But as for the MVP they are going to have to do some spectacular stuff to win that. Because of their team containing plenty of superstars and all stars on their team.
James Harden of the Houston Rockets is the top favorite to win the 2018 MVP with his team they are second in the west and overall. They looking to go all the way this year. comparing last year was looking the same but Harden choked and threw it away. But this year is looking different cause they A all star point guard Chris Paul. Also they did not have to give up much as they still got they’re core team
intact. Another determinate in looking for an MVP candidate is looking at their stats and overall averages. James Harden is looking very good to win because of his stats he is almost averaging A triple double with 31 point per game, 9 assists per game, and 5.1 rebounds per game. He is leading the NBA in points per game and he is second in assists per game. Which is very very good. Wanna know who else is almost averaging a triple double its Russell Westbrook he has 25 points per game, 10 assists per game, and 9 rebounds. He is leading in assists per game, it looks like he is going to average another triple double this season for the second season in A row. He also won MVP last year. Another person with stacked stat line this season is No other than LeBron James he is averaging 26 points per game, 8 assists per game, and 8 rebound per game. Although his stats look very good he is not one of the favorites to win the MVP this year. Like they said sometimes it matters about the stats, or sometimes it matters what the player brings to the team. The media analysis decide whether they value stats or team work.
His team is winning, and he’s the main reason why. It’s not that Kyrie hasn’t been great, but he obviously isn’t the main reason why Cleveland is winning, and to be fair, the Cavs have been a little disappointing in their championship defense. Another overlooked player is Paul Millsap. Although Jimmy Butler and Giannis Antetokounmpo have been better statistically speaking, Millsap has been solid and the Hawks have a winning record. LeBron and Kevin are similar in many ways. One of the biggest comparisons is that they play small forward. A small forward or three as some people call it, is like an inbetween player for size. The small forward is normally a lot taller than the point guard and shooting guard but, mostly smaller than a power forward or center. LeBron and Kevin have both lead the league in scoring at one time in their career. Kevin and LeBron averaged around twenty-eight to thirty points a game when they won these awards. They are also
Michael Jordan, what comes to your mind when you hear that name? Michael had played for the bulls and had gotten 6 championship rings with the team. Well, is it just me or does that sound like a lot of time in the game of basketball? In 1982 he took a big step up from highschool to college, where he wanted to pursue the basketball dream. He went to college at North Carolina where he played NCAA basketball for just one year before he was drafted in 1984. All eyes were on him when he went on the court, because that just how good he was at the game of basketball. Michael Jordan is one of the greatest players in NBA history, maybe even the greatest of all time.
Clayton Kershaw and Zach Grienke are coming off insane seasons and will most likely start the postseason with some insane numbers as well. Grienke and Kershaw both are finishing off the regular season with numbers that could send them to the World Series.
Kobe Bryant has had quite a substantial effect on the NBA throughout his illustrious career .He came into the league as a renowned high school player and thanks to him being drafted by a big franchise in a big city (Los Angeles Lakers) and having a superstar often compared to superman to mentor him (Shaquille O’Neal) Kobe would eventually evolve into a superstar forever remembered in NBA history due to his prolific scoring, competitive spirit and ability to perform under pressure. There is no denying Kobe’s status as a legend however, simply put, LeBron has achieved as much Kobe did when he was Lebron’s current age (Lebron is six years younger) and he excelled where Kobe failed to succeed. LeBron didn’t have a mentor to back him up, he didn’t have a big market to support him financially, but that didn’t stop him from bringing his mediocre teams and himself to greatness. Kobe may be a fierce competitor however, he achieved this feat at the expense of his teammates respect for him while LeBron on the other hand, is competitive while still being a great teammate. To conclude, due to the fact LeBron paralleled Kobe’s strength and exceeded where Kobe was weak , he is a more impactful player of this era than Kobe Bryant
When I began my report I didn’t know much about Michael Jordan, but I did know that he was “undoubtedly the greatest player in the history of the NBA'; (“Michael Air Jordan'; 1). It seemed like every time I heard the word basketball I also heard the name Michael Jordan. There’s just no avoiding him. If you are watching television you might see him playing basketball or golf. If you were reading a magazine there will probably be an advertisement with his picture. If you were walking down the street you might see a kid wearing Air Jordan shoes or a Bulls jersey with “JORDAN'; on the back of it. This man is probably as recognizable as the Pope.
Jordan led his Bull's to a Sixth NBA Championship in 1998, and he added a fifth MVP Trophy in 1998, after losing out to Karl Malone in 1997. He also beat Karl's Jazz for the Title that year. Jordan joins Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Bill Russell as the only five time winners of the MVP, Jabbar has actually won it six times. Jordan was named MVP in 1988, 1991, 1992, 1996 and now in 1998. In 1996 he was also selected to be on the All-Interview team, along with Malone, Barkley, Magic and Jayson Williams. He was a repeat on the All-Interview in 1998 when everyone asked him about his retirement.
Due to the mark Michael Jordan has left on the world as the “G.O.A.T.”, it will be very difficult for any player to surpass his legacy. Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant and LeBron James all have similarities of Michael Jordan but, out of all three players James is the closest. LeBron has the most similarities and the potential to surpass Michael Jordan’s legacy with his personality, stats and he popularity on and off the court. Even though James has the potential to surpass his legacy, there is still a very long journey ahead of James if he ever wants to be considered the “G.O.A.T.”.
First, we will celebrate LeBron James’s accomplishments in the NBA. There are over 400 players in the NBA. These players are on the battlefield, fighting day after day because they all know only one can become the Most Valuable Player. LeBron James rose above all, claiming the MVP award, not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 times. Not only is LeBron James an MVP, but he is also a 13-time All-Star player. LeBron James garnered enough votes from the fans, the players, and the media to become an All-Star like a presidential candidate getting enough votes from the voters to become the President.
We're no longer counting rings, because whatever number LeBron ends up with – and it'll be more than two -- it'll be enough (four, six, eight, whatever) to render the ring conversation irrelevant. We've never counted MVP awards, because for a long time it has been obvious that LeBron was going to win more MVPs than anyone who has ever played. Jordan and Bill Russell had five. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar had six. LeBron has four, and he's 28 years old. He could end his career with eight or 10 of those things, so we can't use the MVP argument. That would mean LeBron is the greatest ever, and that just will not do. (Doyel Internet)

So far Lebron James has won three so far and he is in his fifteenth year of NBA career, And in
17 year-old Rashim Lancit was the standard senior at LaSalle High School. His best friends were Andrew and Colin. They played together for their high school basketball team. However, Rashim loved the game of basketball more than his friends and dreamed to go to the NBA. He thought there was no way that he would make it there. However, that all changed one Friday night at the LaSalle basketball game.
Most importantly, teamwork both on offense and defense has led them to be ranked among the league’s best in both. As long as the Golden State Warriors keep shooting the three point shot the way they have been, along with great passing and teamwork, they will pass the record held by the 1995-1996 Michael Jordan led Chicago Bulls team. With superstar snipers in Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, it is no wonder the Golden State Warriors lead the NBA in 3-point shooting percentage. Not only are they shooting over 40% from behind the 3-point line, which many consider to be the barometer of an elite shooter, as a team they are the number one, three-point shooting team with a 41.2% shooting percentage from behind the arc.
