The Outsiders book and film are outstanding. After watching ,and reading The Outsiders they are similar. But they´er very different quality between them The outsiders film and book share similar quality.One of the Similarities are the settings.The church,the vacant lot,and darry’s house.Ponyboy fell asleep fell asleep in the lot.Thus Darry hit ponyboy. Though they are similar they're very different. One other difference between film and the novel is the scene. In the film it started with Ponyboy,Johnny,And Dally going to the moviehouse. Book or movie? This seems to be a pretty common debate, especially seeing there are so many differences between the two. Ranging from the beginning of the story to the visual aspects of the characters as compared to their descriptions, the differences are quite apparent. The book “The Outsiders” is a wonderful story, and has been read year after year by the youths in schools. But, how does it really compare to its later made movie version?
There are many differences in the movie that were not in the book. In the movie there is a new character in the movie that was not in the book. This character was David Isay.

All six of these boys have lost their parents in tragic accidents; that ended up changing the way these boys grew up and the path that they later chose. The book The Outsiders is surrounding three boys by the names of Ponyboy, Sodapop, and Darry. Darry who is the oldest of the three boys begins to take on responsibility of taking care of his three younger brothers. These boys all end up taking a bad path in life, which resulted in joining a gain and the gain, became their family, somewhat of a filler for what they have lost in their real families home.
The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton is a story about two gangs who realize in the end that they are both just groups of people. The Greasers live on the East side of town and are known as poor and “hoods”. Meanwhile, The Socs live on the West side of town and are the wealthy kids. These differences don’t change that they are all people. These guys will do anything for eachother after all they are like family.
The Outsiders was written by Susan Eloise Hinton. It is one of her most popular books about foolish gang rivalry existing between the Socs, the rich kids from the west side of town, and the Greasers, the poor kids from the east side.

Later they were getting beaten up so his friend johnny killed a guy that was harming them, causing them to run and hide in a church. Later when they go back the church catches on fire Johnny and Ponyboy go inside to rescue children and Johney end up dieing because of this. But the movie and the book have some major differences and can have some major turns because of this.
At the beginning the Outsiders was just a story with the fight and tension between the Greasers and Soc’s. In the story there is conflict between the families of the greasers and pony gets fed up so he runs away and in the process they kill a SOC, named Bob, so they run away to a church and hide than once they leave and come back to the church it is burning and Ponyboy and Johnny help save kids trapped in the church. But johnny gets hurt and dies. Than because of sadness Dally gets killed by cops on purpose. Than after the book, with the director named Francis Ford Coppola, they made the movie, The Outsiders. One question that many have asked is which is better? The movie or the book? From my perspective the book is better because in the book
