The Age of Reason was also known as the time of Enlightenment. This was the time of separating right from wrong and scientific thinking. It also went from believing religion to believing actual facts. The Age of Reason was from 1685 to 1815. This began a time where people could have individual happiness and freedom. The Age of Reason is best represented by the guiding principle, initiative. The initiative was the Declaration of Independence created by Thomas Jefferson, to declare independence from Great Britain.
