On Christmas and thanksgiving get together we always have a delicious huge dinner. For thanksgiving we have the traditional dinner and we go in a circle saying things we are thankful for. Whenever we go to my cousins house we usually leave around midnight. I love hanging out with my family because they mean the world to me. For Christmas its not about what or how many presents you receive. Yes, its nice to have presents but that’s not the whole point for this holiday. It’s to celebrate the resurrection of God. Every year we do a gift exchange but buy every single one of us multiple presents. So when we were waiting, we were all exhausted and were getting inpatient. After all the waiting which felt like a year has passed, we started exchanging presents. So we got in a circle, so it finally came my turn to give the presents to my older cousin Fernando, since he was the one that I had picked out. Before giving him the present I made him dance for it, he's a really good dancer but only when he wants to. We kept on opening presents and towards the end was when I got my present by my uncle Rogelio. I got a blue leather jacket from Forever 21 and lotion and body spray for Bath & Body Works . After everyone gave their gift exchange presents we handed out more gifts. Our Christmas’s turn out to be Very
We would get together to celebrate usually at my parent’s house for my mom’s side of the family. At Easter we always had a ham and many side dishes. Thanksgiving always brought a delicious turkey, sweet potatoes, scalloped corn and my favorite cranberry relish. For Christmas we had a ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, glazed carrots, and for desert pumpkin pie. We always had a Christmas tree of some sort with homemade decorations that us kids made. We also celebrated my brother’s birthday since he was born on Christmas Eve. A tradition of my own was to get my parents to let me open one gift on Christmas Eve, because my brother got his birthday presents and I thought it was not

Thanksgiving for my family probably looks a lot like the thanksgiving for most families in the United States. My family always does their best to remember to give thanks for everything that we had that past year and everything that we have in general. From each other, to the house we are in to the food and the cars we drive. It is very valued in my family to give thanks before we indulge in the delicious meal that was prepared by so many different
Holiday dinners are well known for the staple meats like turkeys, hams or roast beefs, I find that abnormally too traditional for my taste. What I love about holiday dinners are the warm gatherings with my family, the sometimes tottering uncertainty of outside guests and enthusiasm for surprise dishes. My favorite holiday dinner has always been Thanksgiving. I have always attended these holiday dinners without a plus one, there would be an awkward exception Thanksgiving of 2004. Thanksgiving of 2004 I thought to myself “Why not bring an extra watering mouth to feed? Thanksgiving is supposed to be about assembly with outsiders. At least that is what the history book pictures displayed.”. So I invited James. I figured drop a few light weighted
Just as everybody has a different family,it’s more than likely pretty obvious that they would have a different Thanksgiving dinner/ get-together. To some they may go to their Aunt’s ,Grandma’s or stay at their house. Maybe they don’t go to relatives but, they go to a restaurant.
Every year I look forward to Thanksgiving. For myself this is a magical holiday where you may eat whatever you want and no one is counting calories. Everyone usually brings a dish which ensures plenty of variety.
I propose that giving a thanksgiving basket to a low-income/needy family at an Inspire Development Center would be a great. A gift like that to a family that might not be able to have a special dinner on thanksgiving would highly appreciate the people that worked together to put this great event together. Thanksgiving is a day where as a family; everyone is united, having a special dinner surrounded by loved ones, but for a needy family that may not be the case. Families should be able to enjoy a basket full of food with their whole family and give thanks to the special hands that created them and made it possible for them to have a special dinner on Thanksgiving.
The Thanksgiving food that I would like to learn to cook is turkey. I would like to be able to make turkey because I feel that it is the most important dish on the menu. Spend time with their family’s inside, or going out and spending family time in the wilderness. Many people stay inside and spend time with their family while playing games, watching movies, cooking Thanksgiving dinner, and decorate for Christmas on Thanksgiving, as well as maybe having a big family gathering at a family member’s house. About half of the United States takes in this trait. Spending time with family is very popular in parts of the
