Telenursing, according to Schlachta-Fairchild, Varghese, Deickman, and Castelli (2010), is the use of telehealth technology to deliver nursing care and conduct nursing practice. As a result, telehealth is now being integrated into routine care delivery of patients around the globe. The two skills that will be helpful to an INS in a clinical setting are clinical assessment skills and documentation. In completing a physical assessment, the INS needs to draw on knowledge and think critically in order to make a nursing diagnosis based on the information that is collected (Schlachta-Fairchild et al., 2010).
