My Love For The Silver Screen
My fondest childhood memory was when my dad introduced me to the original Star Wars trilogy. This is where my passionate love for film began. As a kid, I recall being touched and blown away by numerous movies such as: Star Wars, Toy Story, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, and Jurassic Park. I would always get excited when my parents would take my brother and me to the local theatre. I have been watching movies for as long as I can remember, and I can honestly say that it is my favorite pastime. Some people may ask how one can get so overly attached and crazy about movies? For me, movies help myself escape from life by becoming immersed into the storyline through the characters. For hours I can switch off my brain and get captivated into a story. Movies make me think and dream. I sometimes feel like

Each of these film genres has affected me in a different way. I find crime and historical dramas to be more cultivating, impactful, and serious. With horror and action, they tend to make my heart race and give me more of an adrenaline rush. Sci-fi and fantasy tend to be more visually appealing, while at the same time making you dream and think more creatively. Movies are like slices of life that we are able to look at and analyze. The best ones allow us to look at ourselves in a way that we didn’t know was possible. Another factor I love about films is the storytelling, which is the basic foundation of a movie. The thought of experiencing what the characters in a film think and feel are intriguing to me. Movies are the modern campfires where we gather around to tell and hear stories. If there is ever an apocalypse, years later survivors will gather around fires and tell stories like, “A long time ago, in a galaxy far far
The jury was locked in the room to deliberate because they don't want them to leave until they have come to a decision. If the jury was allowed to leave, they might just go when they want and not return. Also, the accused could try to come in to convince the jury that he is innocent.

Film and literature are two media forms that are so closely related, that we often forget there is a distinction between them. We often just view the movie as an extension of the book because most movies are based on novels or short stories. Because we are accustomed to this sequence of production, first the novel, then the motion picture, we often find ourselves making value judgments about a movie, based upon our feelings on the novel. It is this overlapping of the creative processes that prevents us from seeing movies as distinct and separate art forms from the novels they are based on.

Who we are as a person has a lot to due with the various kinds of influences that we may encounter through different events, personal experiences, stories, and by others. Surprisingly enough movies can have a large impact on us, that can really change who we are. The Blind Side, August Rush, and The Devil Wears Prada, are among the many different films that have had a significant impact me on how I live my life and see the world. Films have a way of influencing people into thinking and believing in ways they may have never thought in before.
People can feel better about themselves after watching these types of movies. Using these elements together, it makes the movie better, but not only that, but each element helps each other out in the scene to make it a very good movie
In conclusion, Domhoff states that “…it needs to be stressed that there is little to no systematic evidence that dreams make use of the vast system of figurative thought available in waking life…” (13). It is at this point where he and I part ways. Though there has been no direct scientific study done, I would argue that movies are in fact dreams that make use of “the vast system of figurative thought available in waking life”. Through the expressions of directors and film makers like Rodriguez, a vast array of our collective psyche is expressed and exposed. Each moment of surprise, lust, joy, et cetera, is capable of being captured in our two hour filmic experiences. Film is where our reality meets fantasy and our dreams become corporeal art
Many people go to the movies. The movies are an escape into a fantasy world. Everyone has a different preference on what kind of movie is the best. Romance, horror, action, and comedy are different types of movies. The kind of movie someone goes to see can give clues to what kind of person they are.
Central themes in films have just these innate characteristics that makes it desirable and satisfying.
Most people like watching movies that relate to them. For an Example teens like watching movies that show courage or excitement. In the movie Divergent, Tris finds out that she is different then the others, but she can’t tell anyone. And in the book Anthem He is starting to have feelings for a girl and he discovered electricity and make a light bulb, but the council does not like what he is doing so they try to punish him for it. Dystopian Literature in novels and film are currently popular among teens, for example the novel Anthem encourages individualism, in the film Divergent, demonstrates breaking away from society because she is different and could mess up their plan and both show a bleak future of conformity.
Every fall high school seniors around the globe are in a state of panic. Of course you are no stranger to this process, you have dealt with this stress firsthand. What process is being described you may ask? The process of applying to college. Each year seniors scramble to submit applications, transcripts, and letters of recommendations to the schools of their choice. These documents are essential for nearly all students who want to advance to an institution of higher learning, but for many the paper trail does not end there. Seniors interested in a career in art, well specifically in visual art, need one more thing to obtain that sparkling acceptance letter. That missing link is a portfolio.
Many people don’t think about it so much, but movies (or just film in general) have become such a big part of our lives that we don’t think much of it because it just feels like a usual part of living. But have you ever wondered why this is, and how far back film started? Movies and film have been around for a long time, have developed in big ways throughout time, and has advanced in such a big and new way to this day.
Across the globe watching movies started as an asylum for the working class, but slowly the ideas being portrayed onscreen have evolved resulting in movie going to become almost religious. Movies have the ability to leave us in awe as a result of their ability to give us a glimpse of a dream, however unrealistic. I myself am a huge fan of the film industry. I started to feel a certain reverence for it because of the way it inspired me to dream and gave birth to my ambitions. This ultimately led to me to go into an in depth investigation of whether I was the only one who felt this way and what affects had been created because of this feeling.
The answer is beautifully summarized by Academy Award winner actor Jack Nicholsen, in one of his speech during Oscar award ceremony, “… they entertain us; they offer hopes (and) give traumas; they take us places, we never been, just even for few moments; they can take us away, when we want to get away; Movies inspire us; they challenge us and despite our differences, they are (the) common link to humanity, in all of us.” In my opinion, this statement is the true reflection of the reason, why people love to watch movies. Movies allow us to escape. But there is a value in this escapism, its more than simple eluding.
Video marketing is the use of videos to market or promote a brand, service or product. A video is a more vivid, lively and memorable presentation of the marketing message, which results in enhanced search engine ranking, more conversions and click through rates, and better sales. Depending on their marketing plans and goals, companies can use live event videos, customer testimonials, explainer videos, how-to videos, entertainment (viral) videos and corporate training videos, among others, to pass their brand messages more persuasively, briefly and effectively. Today, online video marketing has become popular because it is cheaper to implement and the videos can be distributed on channels like YouTube with amazing ease.
