Many people have told me that my educational career goal is difficult to achieve, and it most likely is. I have dreamed of becoming a doctor since I was seven years old and now, I am one step closer. I will be majoring in Biomedical Science (Pre-Professional Concentration) at the University of Central Florida in hopes of attending Medical School. As of right now, I am deeply considering the career path of an Obstetric Gynecologist. During the summer of 2014, I attended the National Youth Leadership Forum: Careers in Medicine, a medical program, at Nova Southeastern University. I took classes and did activities that expanded my knowledge on the medical process and on all kinds of medical specializations while earning college credits from George Mason University in the process. I was also given the opportunity to visit Nova Southeastern University and University of Miami’s Medical School. In the Medical Schools, medical students taught us more about the process of studying medicine and an insight in what it really means to be a medical student. I also had the chance to practice the process of delivering a baby through the simulated birth of a dummy. This is one lifetime experience that I will never forget. It was such a beautiful moment and that is why I am inspired in …show more content…
I am happy all these experiences made me more confident and more positive in what I want in my life. The next step is getting my degree while I am majoring in Biomedical Sciences. I believe this major will help me achieve my goals because I will be exposed to rigorous classes that will prepare me for the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT). This major will also help me grow and expand qualities such as time management, responsibility and leadership. With a strong foundation and the qualities, I will not only become a successful doctor but, I will mature as an

I am excited about the prospect of attending medical school. My dream began when I was a child in a rural village in Bangladesh, continued through graduating from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) with a biology degree. Now, I am working in a research lab at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).I have had many experiences that have reinforced my desire to become a physician.
In regards to my academic and career goals, I plan to attend a four year university and eventually medical school. After medical school, I hope to become an orthopedic surgeon through residency and specialize in sports medicine. My interest in sports medicine has developed through experiences such as observing my father’s ACL surgery, having an operation on a broken hand, and caring for my grandfather who had prostate cancer. I hope to contribute to the world of sports medicine through research, either on treatments for knee ligament tears or supplement breakthroughs. Additionally, this past summer I spent most of my time at the University of Pittsburgh Health Career Scholars Academy, where I was able to explore various science-related health professions through lectures and gain insight on the medical field. These experiences have secured my interest for healthcare and medicine.
Although I am not entirely sure what field of medicine I would like to go into, I know that medicine is the right path for me because I really cannot picture myself doing anything else. I truly believe I am ready to face the innumerable obstacles, struggles, successes, and failures in my path to becoming a doctor because the day I am able medically treat and help others in any way possible will be a dream come true. Thus, being admitted into medical school will get me one step closer to obtaining my aspirations.
Becoming a doctor will grant me the ability to directly analyze, examine and comfort some of the people who suffer similar setbacks as my parents. The field of medicine is a growing sector in desperate need of brilliant yet compassionate innovators who will be well equipped and capable of formulating, addressing and analyzing pressing issues. Participating in the Drexel Pathway to Medicine program will grant me the opportunity to quantitatively and analytically strengthen my core skills, knowledge, and facilitate my development in a developing industry. This program will ultimately help me to advance and transition into an effective medical student. Working as a pathologist assistant and a medical scribe has not only given me great exposure to two different fields of medicine, but it has allowed me to attain necessary skills needed to make a better student. I am well aware that I may not have the solution to every medical problem, but I do know that with dedication, hard work, proper knowledge, and training, I will be able to provide a better quality of care for my future patients and their
I always knew, without a doubt, that I would attend college. From the time I was very young, it was instilled in me by the adults in my life that going to college and furthering my education was my best shot at being successful. Now that I am partaking on this journey, I can only hope that those people were right.
Deciding what career you want to partake in life is defiantly not a straightforward task. One has to choose something they love to do because, in most situations, they will be in that career field for the rest of their life. This is why it is very important to choose something that you love to do and have a passion for. If you treasure the job you have, then you will live a much happier life. In my case, I am deciding to go into the field of electrical and computer science because it is something that is close to my heart. It is also important when choosing what you want to do in life to set goals. These goals will help you to strive for something greater, and they will give you immense satisfaction once you reach them. Everybody has their
I never really thought of going to college until the tenth grade. Just like my father, I had always thought I would be a mechanic and own my own shop because I enjoyed the challenges that arose while diagnosing different problems in cars. It wasn't until I was at my doctor's office that I realized the similarities between the work of physicians and mechanics. Both require one to diagnose and solve problems. That was when I became interested in medicine. As time went by, I started to develop a fascination with the anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry of the human body. Furthermore, I was amazed with how physicians were able to use medication to alleviate pain and heal individuals. Consequently, these attractions to the workings of the human body and the physician's job led me to pursue a career in medicine.
The lessons I have learned in my life from both my parents and life experiences have fully prepared me to excel in college. Being a part of honors classes and taking multiple advanced placement classes I believe I am very ready for the workload to come ahead. After college I hope to fulfill not only my dream, but also my parent’s dream, of seeing myself become a successful dentist or doctor so I could accomplish all of my other life goals. I hope to be able to build a life and future for myself in
“The future is coming no matter how hard we try to stop it…The only thing we can do is work hard and strive for the best future possible”(Acheson). Employers are becoming more selective when it comes to choosing employees. There are diminishing job opportunities that comes from outsourcing because of cheap labor and infrastructure. All of these factors make the prospect of finding a future job more difficult. In order to improve my chances of finding a successful job, I am directing all of my efforts to my current high school classes and extra circular activities to enhance my capabilities in the field of engineering. My goals for the future are to provide a comfortable future for myself, my future family, and as well as my current family.
What is my personal purpose? Is a question that I have never thought to ask myself until recently. Then when I started learning more about a personal purpose I started wondering if I have one and what it was. I never thought of myself has having a real purpose until a watched an interview Will Smith had did and he had said “When your life means something to someone other than yourself than you have a purpose.” That is when I realized that I have a purpose. My purpose is that I am the hug that let others know it is going to be ok. My personal goals is to be genuinely happy with myself and life and to make my parents proud, my career goal is to own my own business and being successful at doing so, finally, my educational goal is to get my bachelors degree and grauate with honors and even moving on to getting my masters. Having goals is important to me because I know that while I am in the process of accomplishing them I will have something great to look forward to in the end.
My career goal is to specialize in cardiology or neurology after majoring in biology for my undergraduate years and work with an organization that specializes in either one of those two fields. My life aspirations are to continue to gain more knowledge and excel in a career where I can be financially stable. I love learning; I love it when I learn something in one class and I am able to connect it to the concepts in another class or apply it to life in general. To me, learning is a lifelong process. However, I cannot describe how many times wonderful opportunities were available for me, but I could not take advantage of them because of my family 's financial circumstance.
My personal career goal is to do Information Technology (IT) and how I’m going to achieve that goal is by going to a community college to start off with and then go to a four year college. When I get my Bachler’s degree I will go further into my career into helping my job fix computers when they are broken down. The process of deciding to pursue a career as an IT was is an easy one, but that process has helped me define my career goal, be realistic about what I want, and plan thoughtfully about how to reach my goals.
Life contains an unlimited amount of life lessons; my main life lesson has inspired me to never give up on myself or my goals. Through my life experiences I have learned that there is no such thing as failure. I am certain with myself that I can find success through hard work and dedication. My career aspiration is to help others as a healthcare professional. More specifically, I have a dream of pursuing a career in physical therapy. Nothing gives me more self-satisfaction than to see that I am able to help people self-improve. Therefore, I have committed to studying and preparing myself for graduate school. I am currently an Undergraduate student at the University of Central Florida, destined to graduate in the Fall of 2017. There are multiple Undergraduate degree paths I can take to prepare myself for grad-school; however, I chose a path that can help me develop skills to provide the best possible service for my future patients. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences
