Love Virtually by Daniel Glattauer is a heart gripping experience that will leave you wanting to read more. Love Virtually by Daniel Glattauer is about a married wife called Emmi and a Single mystery man called Leo who both have a scandalous affair with each other online. So in the beginning Emmi meets Leo by accident when Emmi was trying to cancel a magazine subscription and Leo help Emmi with it. After Leo and Emmi continued talking to each other, while slowly trying to figure out the other’s appearance and personality like some sort of game in which Leo and Emmi have agreed to never meet each other in person since that would be the end of their game and their relationship. In Love Virtually by Daniel Glattauer, Emmi Rothner trait’s change from flirtatious in the beginning, to jealous in the middle, and understanding in the end. The things we learn from the

changes are that actions always have consequences for better or worst.
One trait that Emmi has from the start is being flirtatious. Emmi is emailing Leo telling him he’s just a reason for her to have fun in her marriage, she says it herself here “ you’re just a bit of fun… you allow me to do one thing I’ve been missing experiencing an affair” (48). The quote shows that Emmi is very flirtatious toward Leo and she’s willing to risk her marriage by talking to him in the way she does. Another Quote that shows this is when Emmi is talking to Leo about their little break, she responded to his email with “ Do you have the time and the inclination for a glass of wine with me later on this evening” (97). The Quote reveals that Emmi is flirtatious since she is inviting Leo to have a glass of wine with her kind of like a date, even though she married.
Emmi is a very jealous character the author illustrates this here “ Either you tell me about you and Leo or nothing at all” (146).Even after Emmi herself helped set up Leo and Mia she got jealous since neither of them were telling her what was happening between them and Leo kind of wasn’t talking to her as much as before which is why she said “ Either you tell me about you and Leo or nothing at all”.

Emmi was so jealous that she even told her best friend that she would end their friendship if she didn’t say anything to her or give her details of what was going on. Emmi clearly is jealous of Leo’s and Mia’s relationship since Emmi can’t meet Leo in person or their relationship would be destroyed, but the author illustrated how jealous and frustrated Emmi really is in this quote “ Anyone who sleeps with Mia is never going to sleep with me, not even on a spiritual level ” (151). Emmi is jealous of Mia since she got Mia got to meet Leo in person and could have a relationship with him, Even though Emmi is married she is jealous because Leo was her’s and only her’s but mia took that from her so she became
