Life with Principle is about different people telling us the importance of our lives, that we should live our life and not in the moment. Technology is taking over our lives, it doesn’t allow us to communicate with one other or it doesn’t allow us to go out there in the world and live our dreams. Technology is stopping us from doing things what we want to do. Life with Principle gave us six different types of life with principle subjects Life with Principle, Being Awake, Aware and alive, Examining Desperate and Deliberate live, living in Society, Living in Nature, and lastly confronting the Mean and the Subline each give us different meanings but speak on the same subject us living our lives. Living in Society is about change something that we need to work together to receive a change in life. We have to take a chance and change the thing that we do not like about and rick the consequence that we will receive in the end. We should be able to risks things that we believe in and take a stand and not to ignore the things that we do not believe in. If we actual take a stand we can cause an effect for change. Living in Nature is about how mankind cannot living without nature, without it we all be dead, but mankind is killing the environment in drastic ways, we get so wrapped up about ourselves we forget about the environment that we are slowly killing. We do not have someone to educate us on these types of things, on ways for us to stop killing the environment. The thing that Living in Society and Living in Nature subject have in common is that we need to make a change in our life and environment to make a positivity out of it. There are many aspects of society that help shape who we become; such as, race, ethnicity, and status. Although, in the end, it is ultimately the choices we make that define us. As individuals we make certain choices, and as a society we label those individuals by their choices. One boy decided his achieved status would be of respect, while the other conceded to the fact that he could not do any better, with his life, than dealing. Someone once said “[We] are a product of our environment…” and to a certain extent this is completely agreeable. However, it can also be said that our environment is a product of society.

The dictionary definition of human nature is “the general psychological characteristics, feelings, and behavioral traits of humankind, regarded as shared by all humans”. The definition of society is “a part of a community bound together by common interests and standards”. So how are society and human nature connected? Human life is full of meaning. As humans, we assign value to many things. However, what happens when we assign a specific value to a human life? This is the issue being presented in the article, “What is a Life Worth,” by Amanda Ripley. The government is determining a monetary value to a human life, and it does not appeal to the masses. There are many problems with the cold calculation, and most people cannot see the other side of the numbers. The economic value of a human life is calculated based on the income the person was receiving, but when the check is given to a loved one of a small amount, the compensation is misinterpreted as an overall value of the human life.
