Tamica was interested in basketball as a child. Once she was sitting outside her home and some children playing; at that time, the ball came to her, and the children asked her to pass the ball. She led the team to a Conference championship and a State Championship. As a Senior she was the #1 player in the nation, averaged a triple double with 31 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists. She realized that she, a girl who’s life had been nothing but rough roads and abrupt turns, could be good at something.
