One’s life and what they stand for is not something easily described. There are many ways and reasons behind why we are who we are, but after close evaluation a couple specific points can really help shine light into why we are who are. Religion is something that worldwide is used. I myself, am a Christian. Now even though I am not as devout as others or as devout as I would maybe like to be, my religion has helped shape my views. As a Christian I have learned certain ways to treat people are certain ethics that I have kept with me. I see myself as someone who respects others and treats others with respect, and is someone who is compassionate and empathetic for others, and a lot of that comes from being a Christian and my time studying the bible. When looking at an individual, another telling thing about them is their views on certain political concerns and issues. Some of my views have come from my parents, and others have just come from my time throughout school and such. I am a Republican, but that does not mean I am an over the top one. From my standpoint, I vote for the candidate I deem the most fit for the position, not just someone because they are a Republican. My dad never received an education past his high school degree and my mother received a two-year degree. Growing up I was always held accountable for my schoolwork and making sure it was done well. Another thing is that I have been expected to continue my education, not just because it is the “in” thing to do, but because it gives me an edge and more opportunities. I value my education very much because I have always somewhat understood the concept of money, and how much money college truly costs. I eventually want to be something in the field of finance, and my college degree that I will attain will help put me in the right
