A feeling of relief comes with the thought of being redeemed. Once one declares that they are redeemed, they are forgiven by the victim and as a result, freed from guilt. Freedom is the ultimate goal in order to obtain forgiveness. When one asks for forgiveness they wish to be freed from their mistakes or betrayal. There are steps to conquer in order to attain freedom; one must be forgiven first, and then their mind can be freed only then can one be considered redeemed. At this point the victim of the injustice decides if the aggressor has been forgiven. Once the aggressor is forgiven, they are eventually freed from guilt.
