Education is the key to success the key can be found in many places one of them is college. People that fights and study for what they want always have a successful life, and are happy. Many people are not able to have the lives they wanted because they are not able to afford college. The people that works the hardest is the ones that would always try to success in life more than others, and those who do not fight, sadly, are sometimes the ones that do not use well the opportunities they have and that others would die for. College should be free because it would help the students rewarding to their healthiness, because education is a right and because the community needs people that have graduated from college to help the community keep going. …show more content…
The government should give free education to those who are willing to get through college and take responsibility over it, which by all means the person just have one opportunity to do it and if for any reasons drops out, he or she must have a very good excuse for why they did it and a strong fact that can prove that. The fact that education is a right does not mean that people cannot take it seriously, because each one of us have the responsibility to know our rights but do not abuse of them. People constantly fights for their rights but tend to fail or back off when it comes to their responsibilities, and what happens after this, is that people would not longer want to fight for their rights because they have discovered that with each right they have they also have responsibilities and in this case, free education is a right but it must be taken with responsibility. If the person with the given opportunity of free college does not take the responsibility over it then it should be taken away but by all means to give each and every person a chance to show that they want to change their lives or at least be someone in life. College should be free but only to those who have earned it. those who know that not only it is a right but also a big responsibility, everybody must be given an opportunity and a chance to change, a change to look foward to change for …show more content…
The major reason why a person cannot find a job is because they do not own a college degree or they did not went to college at all, the reasons why they did not can be infinite, but we are to focus just in one, the one that the government could help with; a lot of people do not go to college or drops out of college because they cannot afford it. Now, there is a lot of people that lives because the government sustains them with food, a roof and money, but all of these people could easily just go to college for free and the government could use that money inverted in those people, for the college. The government could stop giving people money to live and start giving them something to make their lives with; education. The government should spend all the money they spent on people that cannot get hired in people that want to keep going and want to go college but do not have the money. Nowadays we are in some bad economic circumstances but helping people that do not really need the help is just making it worse, all the people that are out there without jobs because they cannot get one should be offered free education instead of free money, because all these people can use
According to Trade Schools, Colleges and Universities “Many of America's top-performing high school students never apply to the most challenging colleges and universities even though they have the ability to succeed at them. They often come from minority and low-income households and end up pursuing more affordable, less-selective schools instead.” College can be a burden to many students in a variety of different ways, but the most common reason is due to funds. Making college free for students will help this problem by increasing jobs in the work industry that require degrees, they should be affordable to all people at all cost, as well as the funds should be completely cut off because it would increase jobs and help America's economy grow.
However, a college education is one of the most valuable things a student could have, so why should it be free? Paying for a college education is like investing in the future. One cannot make earnings in the stock market without first contributing some of their own money. Therefore, students should not be entitled to the benefits of a college education without paying the price. Paying for college also teaches students a valuable lesson. Students learn how to manage and budget their money which will set them up for success in the future when they have to finance a car, house, bills,
Everywhere else in the world college is free but the United States. I believe that people would feel more obligated to go to college if it was free. College is the main reason Americans are having to live such a hard lifestyle. My father did not go to college and makes eighteen dollars an hour. On the other hand my aunt did go to college and make twenty-four dollars an hour but is still paying back student loans so after paying all of her stuff back she only makes around fifteen dollars an hour that she gets to bring back and that doesn’t include taxes. That is why I do not think college is a good choice to make in
As people attend college, fees build up and students loan money and possibly be in debt. Not only that, some may say college isn’t worth it, but it is. Getting a degree pays off at the end, going towards your career path, making twice as much as you would work at a regular job. Students who have received a degree are slowly declining. To make adjustments, college should be free for everyone.
There are many ways to define Freedom. To many people, freedom means more than just ‘free to do whatever I want’. Taken literally, that approach to Freedom would produce anarchy and every man, woman, and child would be for him/herself. Now Freedom certainly means that one can have full power to act, speak, or think anyway they would desire to without hindrance or restraint, however this is only true until you abuse your freedoms or infringe upon others free-will or rights.
Free higher education will help education live up to the reputation of leveling the playing field and providing opportunity to move up in society. It is something that will reward hard working kids with no debt and set them up for the future. It will allow students to focus on their school work and will eliminate the need to have to work to pay for school. This will help their success rate and help people graduate on schedule. Free education will also stop the student loan crisis that has now surpassed credit card debt. Free education is something that is very important for our people individually and as a whole. Our country will end up as a smarter, more powerful society. It is up to us as a country to take responsibility and look out for our country. We need to keep up with the country’s that are passing us in education and build a brighter
If state colleges change the tuition to free tuition not only will doors open for these students, underprivileged will accomplish their dreams by getting education. Helena G. replies to the question of free public colleges “Next, I believe free college tuition should be given because there are students from underprivileged families that work hard in school and deserve the opportunity for a college education. Some students who get exceptional grades in school don’t have enough money to continue their education” (Teen Ink 1). These students are already struggling financially at home. Allowing free college would cause less stress for parents to deal with. “They spend so much time and effort on school work that they earned the right to acquire free college tuition. Lack of money should not stop a student from completing their education, but mostly their dream to become whatever they want to be” (Helena G 1). Many of students who live poor lives do an excellent job in school, but do not have enough financial support to enter in college. No outstanding student should remain home with a chance of getting a college
Sometimes I think about how America’s founding father’s intended to guarantee everyone a free education; not a professional education, but the basics anyone needs in to be accepted in society. Unfortunately, I think the standards have changed. College is now just as necessary as high school. Does that mean it should be free? This has been a quiet issue going around in America among our youth because they the financing of college. Lowered, yes. Free, no. College is a privilege, not a luxury. It is only mandatory to get a high school education for most basic jobs that should be able to let you survive on your own. Today in our world, parents put a huge emphasis on college and its benefits but no one is willing to lower the price or allow a full ride as in high school. Society wants us to go to school but they continue to raise the price which doesn’t make any sense.
Many Americans today still debate whether or not out government and country should fully implement free college. Those who are opposed to this idea are concerned with quality and accountability of education for all. For those in favor of the expansion of education, free college represents one of the great hopes for a better world. Even in the poorest nations, people believe and support in the funding of the expansion of universities and other higher learning opportunities are wise investments. Being a college student, I disagree with the idea that the U.S. should implement free college for all U.S. citizens. Free college in the United States is an unrealistic dream that cannot and should not
Topic: Free University in Canada Opening/Attention: Canadians view education as the key to success in life. Often one will assume that anyone can get ahead if they do well in school. Schools and employers encourage young people to stay in school so they can avoid unemployment, receive better jobs and earn a higher education. Employers often look for workers who have higher education skills and technological literacy. Post-secondary education is great for ones credentials but comes at an extremely high cost, which the average citizen struggles to afford.
Freedom is the right to act, speak, think, or talk without restriction. Our country was built on the foundation of freedom and equal rights. We shouldn’t be told what to do or when to do it by the government or anyone else. Freedom means that we have the right to vote for who we want to be our leader - which is known as political freedom - and to be able to voice our own opinions without harm. The countries that do not have their freedoms can be defined as a dictatorship.
A college education is necessary today in society. Students can focus on their academics and try to get a high score. The cost of education for each student has become more difficult to afford. Thus, many students and teachers wonder if free college tuition must be granted. Free education must be responsible and funded by the U.S. government because it will help students focus on their studies, and encourage them to work harder in school. Even thought many people think that education must be free, it is very important for many reasons such as the economy, quality of education, and value of a college degree.
Mahatma Gandhi once said, "Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes. " People often see freedom as doing as one pleases with no consequences or hindrance, but I do not agree. If we were free to make wrong decisions, how many of us would actually be free? The freedom we experience as Americans is the freedom to make the right decisions. That is what true freedom is.
Clearly, the merits of having free higher education outweigh the drawbacks in immeasurable ways, benefiting the individual learners, states, and the nation at large. Having education in higher education free to all would ensure that every citizen get an equal opportunity in life regardless of their social status, it would allow people to concentrate on nation-building rather than loan payment after school, it would make the nation skill-sufficient and all citizens be more productive. Most importantly, education is a basic right that everyone deserves and money should not be a hindrance, thus, education should be free for all.
Yes, I strongly believe that college education should be free for everyone because Education is a basic necessity of our society these days. Free education wouldn’t just benefit one generation or one society but it can benefit the whole nation. If a nation is educated, then it can benefit the whole country and it can get better job opportunities for its citizens because in today’s world we can see highly paid jobs are knowledge based or require advanced technical skills. So in my opinion more educated nation would help remove all those flaws which are keeping country’s economy from growing rapidly. If the education is free in college then it can help a lot of those students who got good grades in their high schools but could not get into the college because of their financial situation. This way these kind of needy students who deserves to get a good degree and basically these students are future of America but they could not get it through
