2. Ask one of the characters in a scene a question and answer it as if you were that character
Question to Oliva: How do you feel about the way Cesario is treating you today?
Answer: I am astounded that Cesario has agreed to join me at my house today. I have been wracking my brain to find a way to get him to spend some time with me. Yet, he agreed to come so willingly today. God must have heard my prayers. Maybe Cesario is thankful that I rescued him from that rude Toby and his foolish friend. Or perhaps, Cesario is finally returning my love! Oh who knows, I am just so grateful that he is willing to spend time with me. What food shall I serve him? Should I have prepared him a present? Oh, I should have worn a prettier dress. Well, it’s alright, at least he is here with me.
4. Describe your reactions to a character, action, or idea in the scene.

Malvolio’s annoying and egoistic personality has brought hatreds upon himself, causing Maria the urge to trick him. The prank to get him to make a fool of himself in front of everyone is one thing, but to keep him imprisoned in the dark room seems too severe. Even though Malvolio deserves some sort of punishment for the poor way he treats others, he does not deserve to be locked in a dark room. By convincing Malvolio that he is insane and keeping him in a dark room, they are actually damaging his mental health. Toby, Fabian, and Maria may consider this as a joke, but their actions seem quite abusive towards Malvolio. Furthermore, they are also ruining Malvolio’s reputation with this prank, as others may actually believe that Malvolio is insane. For these reasons, I think the prank on Malvolio has gone too
It is constantly seen that people take revenge on each other in the real world so it comes to no surprise that Montresor is taking revenge on Fortunato. Specifically in this story Montresor will feel better if he “not only punish but punish with impunity” (108 Poe). But further on what I found to even more realistic was that this wasn’t normal revenge, this was pure mastermind torture. Montresor knew that Fortunato was sick with Montresor saying “…but the severe cold with which I perceive you are afflicted”(109 Poe) regarding that he didn’t want Fortunato to come down to his vaults, but Montresor true intentions were wanting Fortunato to fight Montresor request of not coming, and it worked. Montresor also knew how well Fortunato was at differencing wine “I was silly enough to pay the full Amontillado price without consulting you in the matter” (109 Poe). By Montresor exploiting Fortunato’s sickness and skill of wines, Montresor knew that he could get Fortunato in the vaults where he could execute his revenge. At a first glance this may not seem lifelike because there’s an assumption to be made that people aren’t this immoral. But the truth is that the revenge that Montresor conducted is seen constantly in our culture. It’s undeniably real of the monstrosity that was made by Montresor when comparing it to the wicked
Emotions manifest themselves in people through various ways. Some individuals are very expressive of their emotions while others are highly impassive of their feelings, and most people are in-between these two polarities. The movie Napoleon Dynamite, illustrates the behaviour and emotions of individuals who are extremely impassive. Despite the immense lack of emotions in the film, there are still elements of emotion exemplified, such as psychological responses, subjective feelings, and expressive behaviour.
That was a one scene from Fences play and I write about the actor’s approach, the actors idea, and the effective and the ineffective of the scenes. Both of the scenes were great and we can feel the characters feeling and his anger. Also, we learn even we are busy with our life, we have to say good things and smile specifically to our
...houghts and feelings; their inner journey is described verbally, so that the audience receives a first-person recount from the key characters.
The mix of emotions has been evident throughout the course of the play. Not only is this healthy confusion beneficial, but it is imperative to the success of the literary works as a whole. Just as Troy Maxson demonstrates, humans are made up of an array of contrasting emotions. Conflicting emotions can often be confusing, but in the end they often lead to a profound
For example, in the few minutes of the previous scene before Andy begins to escape we have a narration from Red telling the audience that he believes that Andy is going to kill himself from his recent behaviour when he left solitary after two months of being with his own thoughts. Red says “I’ve had some long nights… alone in the dark with nothing but your thoughts, time can draw out like a blade. That was the longest night of my life.” because of these specific wording of Red’s narration we as the audience automatically expect the worst. This narration and the character of Red is one of the most significant and influential elements of the film to manipulate the audiences emotions towards the one particular scene. The scene following Red’s narration is of the aftermath of Andy Dufresne’s disappearance from the Shawshank prison, we see the Warden unbox what he expects to be his black dress shoes, that he made Andy polish the previous night, yet opens the box to find a set of brown prisoner shoes. The audience then begin to see a flashback of what happened the previous night, and we see Andy switching the corrupt account books as well as dress himself in the Warden’s dry cleaned suit. This scene that follows Red’s night in his cell worrying about Andy is one of the best for
In addition, the movie accurately depicts the family dynamic and the difficulties faced by the characters. Lee’s casting meticulously displays the emotions and internal conflict that each character possesses through their body language and facial expressions. For example the scene where Jack is dancing with Lureen, he smiles in front of her when she is looking at him and pretends to enjoy his time, but the moment she turns her back he displayed his true emotions of sadness and emptiness due to his pretention of being something that he is not. Moreover, the progression of Alma’s internal strife after seeing Ennis’ passionate kiss with Jack is presented through her faces expressions and tone. For instance, the moment that she sees the kiss, her eyes show true astonishment, and then followed by sadness and realization; this was displayed without any need for words.
indifference to curiosity and interest. As I was watching the film. Instead of getting bored or sleepy from the slow-paced scenes, I found myself wanting to know the message and meaning of the story behind the seemingly simple plot of the story. Because of the film’s simplicity and subtleness. pacing, I became more aware of the symbolisms and deeper meanings.
...movie that I fell in love with. But most of all I love how the story line is a great overlap into the cinematically engaging movie. There is a great use of camera, timing, shots and story line that are portrayed in this movie without being too overwhelming. This allows the audience to relax during the movie and just take in the scenes as a story from reality. To this day, and even still doing this paper I still come to find different aspects of the movie that I missed the previous times I have watched it.
In "The Cask of Amontillado," unreliable narrator Montresor describes his revenge on Fortunato during a carnival in Venice fifty years ago. Montresor doesn't like Fortunato on account of the thousands of injuries he has caused, injuries that he bears magnanimously (yes, that's sarcasm), but when Fortunato resorts to insult, Montresor vows revenge, a revenge which excludes punishment and a revenge which makes Fortunato completely aware of who's getting the revenge. Montresor is easily offended, jealous of Fortunato, and a little strange. His propensity for being offended stems from his insecurity, an insecurity that could lead him to invent a story about masterminding the perfect murder/revenge. His jealousy of Fortunato leads him to slant everything in the story to make Fortunato look stupid--his motley dress, his

the process of creating this production, we had to make several crucial decisions that impacted how everything turned out. Many of these things involved how we would represent each character. We made decisions based on how each character was feeling in that moment and what caused them to feel that way in the previous scene. We made many vital choices that brought our whole performance together.
Have you ever wondered why people have certain reactions? I chose chapter eight on emotions for my reflection paper because emotions are something that everyone has and feels, yet cannot always explain or react to in the way you would expect. Personally, I have never been great at responding to emotions in a way that I would not regret in the future. Thus, naturally being drawn to this chapter as a way to expand my knowledge on how to react to things more positively. I also wanted to learn why I feel a certain way after events that would not affect most people and be reassured about my feelings. Opposite to that, it is nice to see that, while not always productive, others have the same reaction habits. Overall, emotions are a complicated
