Photography packages vary drastically. Some packages include a flat rate with a-la-carte extras while other photography companies may charge different levels of packages from least to most time intensive (engagement shoots and bridal shower coverage). Make sure the contract provided by the photography company specifies all details included in the chosen package, the amount of time the photographer will be on location and how much it costs to keep him/her around if the festivities continue longer than scheduled. If the couple is having a destination wedding and has decided to hire their own photographer, discuss travel and hotel stay expenses, making sure it is in the contract. Important information to be aware of the vendor 's cancelation and refund policies. The couple should consider searching for photography services elsewhere if the photographer does not present a contract to the client.
4) Photographer On The Day
Find out exactly who is scheduled to photograph the wedding. Meet with the photographer as well as their assistants before the wedding to discuss event details. Inquire questions from this list of whoever is going to be the primary photographer the day of the wedding and that photographer 's name should be on the contract. Have a backup plan in place in case the primary photographer becomes ill. A plan is to have the assigned 2nd photographer sit in as the first

Picture Bride, released in 1995 and directed by Kayo Hatta, tells the story of many women living in Japan who were chosen to be brides by Japanese farm laborers living in Hawaii. The choice of the bride was based on their pictures. In this movie, Riyo wanted to leave Japan because her parents were killed by tuberculosis. She had heard great things about the paradise in Hawaii, and she agreed to be a picture bride. Riyo’s new husband was Matsuji, and based on his picture he seemed to be young, maybe in his twenties. Riyo was disappointed to find out that he had given her an old photo, and he was actually forty-three years old; older than Riyo’s father. Riyo was also disappointed to see her home as a shack. She continually tried to refuse Matsuji as her husband, starting on her wedding day when she wouldn’t allow him to help her off of the wagon, and then when she bit his hand when he tried to consummate the wedding night. She decided to try saving money to return to her aunt in Japan. Since Riyo was a city girl, she was also homesick because the work on the sugar cane plantation was very difficult for her due to her frailness. Riyo became best friends with a Japanese picture bride named Kana, who was also saving up to return to Japan. To help Riyo make more money to save, Kana introduced Riyo to ‘the laundry business’, which involved washing the white folk’s laundry, and delivering it to them. Kana ended up dieing in a fire on the sugar cane plantation when she tried to save her small son. Riyo continued the laundry business, and the story ended with Riyo and Matsuji making love; symbolizing that they were finally husband and wife.

Furthermore, immigrants and picture brides faced racial discrimination not only from white men, but the United States government, as well. Immigrants were plagued with economic hardships lived in deplorable living conditions. Though nearly every immigrant and picture bride who came to America fantasized about an ideal life, they were faced with countless hardships and challenges before becoming accepted American citizens.

It was a beautiful Saturday morning on January 6. The winter air was crisp and the view was amazing. The soft salty scent from the ocean filled the air. Off the balcony on the second story of the Long Beach Yacht Club I could see the light swells of the Pacific Ocean. The small crashing of waves added to the peaceful instrumental background sounds as the ceremony was about to begin. January 6, my wedding date, was a day that changed the rest of my life.

It’s about 7:45 P.M. April 15, 2015. Jasmine is calling my name asking if I’m ready to go. As I’m trying to put all the loose ends together, I think I’m ready. My hair is done in a curly up do with a thin white braided hair band, makeup rushed but it will do, and I’m wearing a knee length white dress. Just a simple white dress, form fitting, made from a linen type of material. My stomach is turning and twisting. As my mind is racing we make way to the park. Jasmine seems to be more eager than I am. As we arrive to the park my legs are a trembling mess. I feel like my mind is in a state of chaos. As I feel my chest pumping harder and harder, it feels tighter and tighter. This day will mark a very important day for the rest of my life. Today is the day I marry my husband. On this day my family becomes one.
