There were many moments in the book that built up, and made Guy Montag the man he was by the last chapter. But I think one of the bigger defining moments that he had was when took the book, at the old woman’s house. This was a defining moment for two reasons. First of all, I think this is when all of his thoughts and doubts about the society and his profession truly came alive. This is when they really surfaced. I think that this was the first time he really did anything about what his thoughts. The other reason being that this caused many events after it.
