September 11, 2001, 2,996 people lost their lives, and over 6,000 others injured in part of “an attack on America”. The 11th day of September in 2001, considered the largest terrorist attack ever in United States history. One American Airlines plane, and one United Airlines planes theoretically flew into the 2 World Trade Center Towers, also known as the Twin Towers(Lower Manhattan, New York City, New York),when hijacked by the Islamic extremist group, al-Qaeda, and who also happened to be followers of Osama Bin Laden. Most people believe that planes happen to be the cause of these incidents, but a handful of others, believes that explosives planted inside these buildings before the planes actually crashed into them and bombs may be the main reason these attacks even happened. There are hundreds of pictures and videos capturing planes …show more content…
The size of the fire and other characteristics could go towards the fact, in which, if the planes caused this or bombs planted inside the towers. The New York Times quotes, “There was a volcanic-like dust cloud from the concrete being pulverized, and no physical mechanism other than explosives can begin to explain how so much of the buildings’ concrete was rendered into extremely fine dust”. A small, handful of people think its non-sense that people actually believe that bombs were planted in the towers, and this was the reason of the towers destruction. Pictures show planes before they crashed into the towers and no fires or such have gone off, so how could they have been destroyed by bombs is the question people may ask. If bombs were to be inside the buildings in would have had to been planted on the bottom of the towers or else something would seem to be suspicious to those who would have been near the bombs and floors around
...thin minutes and took the film.” There was barely any debris from the plane. The government stated that all the planes that were hijacked were the same. The engine of the plane that was found at the scene of the Pentagon attack didn't have the same engine as the other planes, with that being said, it could have been a smaller plane since it was a smaller building. There were no aircraft wreckage, wings, tails, luggage, seats, and bodies. The plane that appears to be flown into the Pentagon was said to be Flight 77 especially from the size of it. Flight 77 can be remote-controlled whether with or without guidance. The transponders for all of the planes were turned off. The way the plane made its exit was a perfect circle but that circle didn't match the plane that the American government claimed it to be. The Pentagon also seemed to be rigged with explosives as well.
The IC decided that the first thing that needed to be done was to contain the fire and get it extinguished as soon as possible. Then the IC divided the situation into three primary sections Tower 1, Tower 2 and the Vista Hotel. The bomb had detonated right below the Vista Hotel and thick black smoke was quickly filling the two towers. He then c...
On September 11, 2001 four passenger commercial jet airliners were hijacked and as a result approximately 3,000 human lives were lost. When asked about 9/11, many can recall exactly what they were doing when they heard the news that a plane crashed into one of the World Trade Center (WTC) buildings and many Americans can tell you how it all unfolded and the reason behind such a travesty. The “official story” provided by officials, and restated by Sofia Shafquat, producer of “9/11 Mysteries: Demolitions” say that “four passenger planes were hijacked and taken radically off course, within an hour, two of the planes had flown into the enormous steel towers of the World Trade Center, creating fires and eventually toppling them” (Shafquat). Soon the American public believed that the impact of the planes and that the fires had gotten so hot from burning jet fuel, that they caused the steel frames of the buildings to give way and implode, falling to the ground into dust (Shafquat). Internal fires take on the responsibility of the official story, though others believe controlled demolition is to blame. Some evidence that debates these two explanations of how the steel towers fell are: the way the buildings collapsed, the properties of steel, and the evidence of molten metal.
September 11, 2001 was a day that Americans and the world for that matter will not soon forget. When two planes went into the twin towers of the World Trade Center and two others went into the Pentagon and a small town in Pennsylvania, the world was rocked. Everyone in the United States felt very vulnerable and unsafe from attacks that might follow. As a result, confidence in the CIA, FBI, and the airlines were shaken. People were scared to fly after what had happened.
Many of the injured had BBs and other miscellaneous shrapnel indicating to investigators what was used in making the bomb. They had prepare... ... middle of paper ... ... 4#v= onepage&q&f=
On September 11, 2001 the World Trade Center buildings one and two were attacked. However, who we were attacked by and even if we were attacked is a hard decision to make. There have been many different claims about how everything on that fateful day happened. There are facts that we know are true, though; Flight 11 flew into the North Tower at eight forty- six in the morning. Soon after, Flight 175 attacked the South Tower. By the end of the day, both towers had collapsed and other hijacked flights had caused damage. The amount of lives lost on September 11 was substantial; 2,749 people from eighty-three different countries died from the attacks (Facts about the attacks…, n.d.). All in all, America was changed forever.
On September 11, 2001, the Islamist terrorist group known as al-Qaeda launched a series of terrorist attacks on the United States of America, specifically in the New York City and Washington D.C areas. Nineteen al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four planes with the intention of using them as suicide attacks that would crash those planes into designated buildings, or targets. Two of the four passenger jets were flown into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, both of which collapsed entirely within two hours of being hit. The third plane was crashed into the Pentagon, and the west side of the building, which is the Headquarters of the US Department of Defense, partially collapsed. The fourth hijacked plane was intended for the US Capitol Building in Washington D.C, but instead crashed into a field in Pennsylvania after the passengers of the plane interfered with the hijackers. The attack on September 11th was devastatingly fatal—almost 3,000 people died in the attacks, including all of the al-Qaeda hijackers and every passenger aboard the four planes.
September 11, 2001 is known as the worst terrorist attack in United States history. On a clear Tuesday morning, there were four planes that were hijacked and flown into multiple buildings by a terrorist group named al Qaeda. This group, led by Osama bin Laden, killed nearly 3,000 people. Out of those 3,000 people more than 400 police and 343 firefighters were killed along with 10,000 people who were treated for severe injuries. Many lives were taken, and to this day, people still suffer from the attack. September 11th is the most influential event of the early twenty-first century because it made an increase in patriotism, it caused a rise in security throughout the nation, and it had a tremendous effect of thousands of lives.
Dylan Avery uses Dr. Steven E. Jones credentials, a Ph.D. in Physics, Bachelor in science, and principal Moun-Catalyzed investigator, to support his claim that the collapse of both the twin towers and the world trade center 7 have to have been controlled demolition. Avery states there is no possible way that skyscrapers can just freefall into its self without first taking out the lower structures. NIST's report on the collapse of the towers does not actually contain a description of how the towers collapse and claims there was no signs of controlled demolition, although they didn’t test for explosive residue. However, this is where Steven E. Jones plays a part in the circumstance, he examined dust samples. While examining the dust residue, Jones found the elements, oxygen, iron, and aluminum, which are elements that give off an explosive force when heated. By using Jones’s credential in his documentary, Avery is providing the audience with an authority figure who has the expertise to talk about this topic since he has done research and experimental
In 1993, WTC stood as twin tower and was the second largest building in the US. Its base covered 16 acres of land mass and had a basement of seven floors. It was a home for many businesses. All these features added up to qualify the complex as an ideal target for a terror attack of which it really happened though not to the magnitude expectation scale of the terrorists.
The event that occurred on September 11, 2001 was a tragic and heartbreaking scene for the American people. Americans were distraught and an outbreak of fear and devastation swept the nation. Conspiracies have alluded to blaming the government for this catastrophe; however, some controversies put the sole blame on George W. Bush. Many Americans used him as a scapegoat due to emotional instability or timorous feelings towards the attacks. In response to the attacks that took place on September 11, 2001, George W. Bush positively influenced and reassured the American people that America was strong and that the United States would stop at nothing to find who was responsible for such acts.
On September 11, 2001 terrorists crashed two American airline airplanes into Twin Towers, killing thousands of people. It was the worst terrorist attack in American history and it showed us that we are not protected by Atlantic and Pacific. It showed us that we could be attacked by anyone at anytime. It showed us that if we will be attacked again that we can only depend on each other and not on other nations to help us. The 9/11 changed people forever, some lost family members or friends, others lost their jobs even so called “American Dream.”
In the article “Terrorized by War on Terror” by Zbigniew Brzezinski, is about the attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. They hijacked four airplanes in mid-flight. The terrorists flew two of the planes into two the World Trade Center in New York City. The crash caused the buildings to catch fire and collapse causing the whole city to fill up with smoke and ash. Another plane destroyed part of the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia. The fourth plane cr...
September 11, 2001 marked one of the most tragic events in United States history. As a way to assure the safety and wellbeing of U.S. citizens shortly after being attacked by al-Qaeda, President Bush stated, “Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundation of America. These acts may shatter steel, but they cannot dent the steel of American resolve”. Although President Bush was seen a source of security during a time of need, many citizens felt that his words were not genuine and part of a dramatic story the government wanted its people to believe. Despite the side taken, both perspectives of the argument can agree that the U.S. was attacked by a series of coordinated suicide attacks by al-Qaeda. On that Tuesday morning, 19 terrorists hijacked four commercial passenger jet airliners. The hijackers intentionally crashed two of the airliners into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, one into the Pentagon, and the fourth into a field in rural Pennsylvania after passengers fought back against the terrorist to try and regain control of the plane. This is the story the government wants its people to believe. However, the truths about the attacks on 9/11 are much more frightening. On September 11th, 2001, the United States government betrayed its citizens by allowing the destructive attacks on the Twin Towers, WTC-7, the Pentagon, and Shanksville.
3,000 people were killed in the attacks(CNET). The government would not plot to kill 3,000 people on their own country. The world trade center was the largest loss of life from a foreign attack(CNET). That is what terrorists do, target busy places to try and kill as many people as possible, not something the government does. Out of the 3,000 victims, 1200 have yet to be identified(CNN). When the bombings were occurring, they weren't just hurting the victims, they were also hurting friends, kids, family, parents, that is something that terrorists would want to do.
