Comparasion between Li-Fi and Wi-F i without any doubt Li-fi technology exceed Wi-Fi in many aspects, So it can be considered future technology because of its speed as well as cheep cost but nonetheless we can't dispensing with Wi-fi especially in the near future ,so It should be used side by side to reduce the pressure on the frequencies of Wi-Fi .
Li-Fi Vs Wi-Fi
Parameter Li-Fi Wi-Fi
Speed for data transfer Data transfer speed >1Gbps Data transfer speed 150 Mbps
Medium through which data transfer Light medium radio waves
Coverage distance About 10 meters About 32 meters privacy In Li-Fi, light can't transmit through walls and hence will provide more secure data transfer. In Wi-Fi, Radio frequency signal cannot be pass through by the walls

Applications of Li-Fi :
Through this technology, the bulbs in homes, offices and streets will be able to light in addition it is able to transfer data wirelessly at high speed where can be used in Radio Frequency restricted area.
a) Education systems: Li-Fi is the latest technology that can provide fastest speed internet access. So, it can replace Wi-Fi at educational institutions and at companies so that all the people can make use of Li-Fi with the same speed intended in a particular area. b) Medical Applications: Operation theatres (OTs) do not allow Wi-Fi due to radiation concerns. Usage of Wi-Fi at hospitals interferes with the mobile and pc which blocks the signals for monitoring equipments. So, it may be hazardous to the patient's health. To overcome this and to make OT tech savvy Li-Fi can be used to accessing internet and to control medical equipments. This can even be beneficial for robotic surgeries and other automated procedures.
c) Cheaper Internet in Aircrafts: The passengers travelling in aircrafts get access to low speed internet at a very high rate. Also Wi-Fi is not used because it may interfere with the navigational systems of the pilots. In aircrafts Li-Fi can be used for data transmission. Li-Fi can easily provide high speed internet via every light source such as overhead reading bulb, etc. present inside the
Other advancements in lighting to come include wind-powered lights and interactive lights. Wind-powered street lights will be powered by the gusts of wind created when a car passes by, reducing the need to burn fossil fuels to power the lights. Interactive lights will be turned off, but as the car approaches they light up, then fade back away as the car passes by. Smart new technology has brightened the future of roadway systems!
WISP is the next generation of wireless internet and the leader in wireless technologies for tribal community, school, business, and entertainment. The new WISP business will employ top of the line products and provides exceptional technical and unmatched services exceeding those of traditional service providers, such as Comcast, AT&T, and Direct TV. The tribal WISP will enable people in rural communities to be connected to mainstream media and level the playing field. This, in turn, will provide economic development opportunities and will improve their quality of life for the Tachi Yokut
The input and output properties of the fiber are very important. They give us an idea about the nature and working of fiber materials. The fiber cables can transport light signals from one place to another place just similar to the way the metallic conductors transport electric signals. The fiber cables guide light around bends and they are able to carry light for very long distances with very little attenuation. But the transmission characteristics of the fiber are not complete and completely efficient. The fiber cables introduce loss of light and smearing of the modulation imposed on the light signals to represent information. These affects of delay distortion and attenuation limit the distances that can be spanned without electro-optic repeaters and thus limit the information rates which can be carried over long distances as well.
The propose research will address a problem confronting many two year institutions in the present-day (i.e. how to best plan, design, and implement WLAN technologies). While WLAN technologies offer the benefits of mobility, reduced installation time, and decreased cost, many challenges must be met by institutions deploying them (Geier, 2005). These issues are related to security, speed, interoperability, and equipment selection, ease of use, reliability, signal interference, installation, and health risks.
There are four methods of data transmission on Internet: DSL, cable, wireless (wireless), and fiber optics. DSL is an existing copper wire of a phone line to deliver high speed internet access. Cable is to utilize a coaxial cable that connects to a television set. WIFI represents wireless that are used for Internet connection without wire. Fiber optic offers many advantages over conventional copper cable lines. It is able to transmit data much faster over greater distances and because the cable is smaller in diameter and weighs less, it makes an ideal alternative for a wide variety of cabling solutions.
LIFI (Light Fidelity), known as wireless visible light communication, also known as the optical fidelity technologies, is a technology for transmitting data using light bulb light. Li-Fi technology using LED lights everywhere, by a tiny chip implanted on the bulb formation is similar to AP (Wi-Fi hotspot) devices; terminals can access the network at any time. LIFI invention designed to challenge existing Wi-Fi technology, but given the limitations of this technique,

As you can see for the most part, people are connecting to wireless from the moment they leave their home till they get to work and then back. Wireless communication definitely provides an advantage over wired networks due to its mobility, allowing users to connect from virtually anywhere.
b) It is not fully reliable as internet glitches of signals can hinder communication effectively.
Users are then directly joined to other computer users at their own will for a small connection fee per month. The connection conveniently includes unlimited access to over a million web sites twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. There are many reasons why the Internet is important, these reasons include: The net adapts to damage and error, data travels at 2/3 the speed of light on copper and fiber, the internet provides the same functionality to everyone, the net is the fastest growing technology ever, the net promotes freedom of speech, the net is digital, and can correct errors. Connecting to the Internet cost the taxpayer little or nothing, since each node was independent, and had to handle its own financing and its own technical requirements. . It is faster than cellular phones and faster than fax machines.
Over time the different means of receiving the internet have changed several years ago, a phone line would proved a slow connection to the internet, but would not be useful when storing and...
Internet as part of the history is the most important invention around the world which connects people thru phones, satellites and cables. People all over the world have access to it as it is everyday usage, and internet becomes globally real and in demand. To mention here, the usage for permits technically for travelling or getting tickets are electronically through internet, paying bills, shopping thru nets without going out (just browsing), playing games, and mostly the merit of possibly downloading music and movies in no time (just a click).
Wherever you look you can find a transportation device, when you go out you can find a car, a bus or even a plane flying over your house, almost everyone in the world uses one of these on a daily basis, whether it is going to the grocery store or work. The Internet, which was invented due to technology, helps us connect with people around the world in a matter of seconds. Connecting to people has never been easier; it can be accomplished with a click of a button.... ... middle of paper ...
WAN is useful as you can send messages quickly to anyone else who is on the network meaning communication occurs faster. They also can include images in the messages. WAN also allows peripherals to be used from all from all the people on the network. WAN is also useful as it is a larger network meaning you can share more without being so close to each other like the LAN network. It also allows you to send things to people which are in a different
