Abraham Lincoln was the 16th present; he was a very strong devoted leader. No matter how hard things got he always kept fighting for what he wanted. Of course of that reason is what makes him some on I idealize. This report will have Lincolns early years, his accomplishments, failures, and his death. His Grandfather was a persistent and very hardworking man. Although his merciless efforts, he ended up one of the wealthiest men in the country. He was admired and respected by one and all. However his son was not so blessed and lost it all.
Abraham Lincoln was born February 12th 1809 A.D. in a log- cabin located in Hardin County Kentucky. “Abraham was the second of the three children of the couple. He had an elder sister Sarah and a younger brother Thomas who died in infancy.” In 1818, misfortune struck the family and his mother died. Lincoln published the Emancipation Proclamation which launched the development of freedom for American slaves. Also the document allowed black soldiers to fight for the union. He delivered a series of marvelous and outstanding speeches including the House Divided Speech, the Cooper Union Address, the First Inaugural Address, the Gettysburg Address, and the Second Inaugural Address. “Abraham Lincoln is one of the reasons that slavery was abolished.”
His colossal mistakes are: He was Defeated for state legislature in 1832. He failed in business in 1833. Abraham had nervous breakdown in 1836. Also was Defeated for Speaker in 1838. Then he was defeated for nomination for Congress in 1843. Then again he Lost renomination for congress in 1848. Lincoln was defeated for U.S. Senate in 1854.
