Where to start about the terrible crime of whaling, I could talk about the Japanese ships that sail the Antarctic Ocean to hunt, or the Whale Wars that occur to stop the Japanese. All I know is that Whaling has gone too far, they say they’re killing whales for scientific reasons but it’s stupid! Nobody does anything about it except for one Elite group of ships; they do anything and everything to stop these whalers. The wars between these 2 different groups are so intense that shots are fired once in a while. But most of the time it’s a lot less violent than shooting at each other,, the guardians of whales always throw smoke grenades or gross liquid balloons or shoot them with fire hoses. Our government does absolutely nothing to stop these
whales from being killed and being pushed to the edge of extinction, and the Japanese have no care for the lives of these whales, all they care about is the precious gold and silver they will gain from selling whale tissue and all the other parts. I’m not trying to say that only the Japanese kill whales, but a big portion are Japanese, or at least from Asia. And just because I think this is true doesn’t mean it is, you can believe whatever you want, but I will believe this. I use to watch a TV show about whaling, it was gruesome and violent, and it was sad to watch all of those whales being murdered and treated the way they are. But I say we put a stop to this! We need to stand up against this appalling act and say “This is crossing the line! You need to stop before we take drastic actions!” I am putting up a petition to send a group of our Navy to go stop these whalers; we need to put an end to this tyranny. Sign my petition and let’s stop this crime once and for all, let’s put these fiends down and send them back home empty handed! Screw all of the whalers! Send them all to Davey Jones’ locker! I don’t care what action the Navy takes to take these trappers down, as long as they go down and don’t get back up! They can use bombs or guns or missiles, as long as the whales thrive I am happy. I don’t care for these souls that are on the whaling boats, they had their chance to repent and stop and they chose not to, the Navy should stop at nothing to save these amazing creatures. There aren’t billions of whales out there who can reproduce so well, they are limited, we aren’t. Save the whales and ruin the people! This is what you get for destroying the lives of this magnificent water specimen! This petition will save thousands of whales and will help the whale population grow and flourish into an amazing community. So sign my petition, I’m looking for 200,000 signatures and I’ll get more if I need more. The whales will be saved, and remember, by you signing this, you’ve helped the whale community.
You are a 200-year-old endangered Hawksbill Sea Turtle twisting yourself into a foreign knot. Thrashing for freedom, panic sets in as your realise you are helpless in your bending cage. The ocean turns from turquoise green to Prussian blue as the sun slowly pierces the shadows of your watery grave. Bubbles rush from your mouth like stolen phantoms as you begin to contemplate your own mortality. Slowly suffocating, hope begins to fade. Deeper and deeper you sink into unconsciousness. Euphoria sets in as your panic begins to ease, in your mind you remember freedom, just a memory but not so long ago, is this death? Is this a good death? You take one last breath, and let go of
I am sure almost all of you have either been to or heard of SeaWorld. Today I am going to tell you about what they do to their orcas that they are trying to hide. I chose this topic after watching a documentary called “Blackfish” that goes into the behind the scenes of how SeaWorld treats its animals. I have since done further research online to prepare for this presentation. This is an important topic because you should know what kind of company you are funding and behaviors you are endorsing when you go on your vacations to this destination. Today I am going to persuade you that SeaWorld is corrupt and maltreats its animals, specifically the orcas. First, I will talk about the specific way the orcas are treated and how it affects them
Shrieks of shock come from the first 5 rows of people as they are doused in water. Tilikum, the 12,000 pound orca who measures in at a whopping 22 feet in length, jumps into the air on command and splashes the crowd who has paid a hefty price to sit and enjoy the show. It was certainly not the first show Tilikum and his trainer, Dawn Brancheau, had done together. To the crowd’s horror though, it would be the last. While going through the routine during their show on February 24, 2010, something seemed to be wrong. Mid-act Tilikum grabbed Dawn’s arm and ponytail and pulled her underneath the water. After having many bones broken and sustaining many life threatening injuries, Dawn was drowned to death by Tilikum in his tank with a live audience
Orca whales do not like to be taken from their family, held captive for many decades and put with other whales that they do not know. No other living organism on this planet would like to be put through the same thing. Orca whales are highly social animals, they are very intelligent, and are very emotional. If they are kept away from other whales, fed intermittently and received little attention from staff makes them get very emotional and can lead to death of people and the whales. Orca whales should not be held captive; they are beautiful creatures that are not great for people’s amusement and if they are treated poorly, they will act poorly.

The quest to gain international agreement on ethical and legal norms for regulation of whaling has had a long and troubled history. The modern phase of global concern over whaling ethics and conservationist management originated in 1946, when the International Convention on Regulation of Whaling was signed. Thus, the International Whaling Commission was created. The International Whaling Commission was designed to control and mandate the whaling industry. From it’s beginning as simply a whalers club with scientific guidance, to the current day conservationist body, the IWC has undergone many revisions and transformations since the start.
Underwater shark nets make us feel safer at the beach, but are we? That’s the question. Are we safe? There are lots of possibilities that the shark, with sharp like knife teeth, may outsmart us. Because of shark attacks we use nets, called shark nets. However, that doesn’t mean nets used in the past prevented shark attacks. These nets don’t only trap sharks they trap other sea creatures.

My dad and I go hunting every weekend during deer season which is from mid of Novmber to the first of Janurary. We go sit at 6:00am and we leave at 8:00am,but why we sit we will be wacthing birds and squirrals playing in the place we have corn they will eat it like deer does.We half to sit still were the deer can’t see us in the deer stand. When we go hunting you have to climb up in the deer stand and then sit patiertly to wait for something to come out of the woods. We look three or four different way in the stand.”My dad stated,” theres a deer.We go hunting in Pearson Georgia. When we go hunting we have to be careful because the gun could go off.It could be dangous going hunting by yourself. But if anything happen I can help him.Because we
As the great Sir David Attenborough would say “The great barrier reef is in grave danger” and everything that comes out of his mouth is in fact a fact.
[Transition: Let’s start by examining the cost benefits of exploring the ocean instead of outer space]
Specific Purpose: To persuade the audience to go online and sign a petition to help stop shark killings and to support the entire Racing Extinction cause in order to save species around the world from going extinct.
How would you feel if your mother was murdered directly in front of you and you were only a few weeks old and you did not know how to fend for yourself? That's what these poacher are doing of these whales. They look for mother with fairly new calves because it means they have more fat on them. The more fat the more oil they produce which makes for more money. In Greenland they kill at most ten whales a year. While in Japan they kill five hundred and thirty to seven hundred
Hundreds of people, who get in the ocean every year, are almost none that encounter sharks. Even if you're lucky enough to see a shark big enough to bite you, you're much likely to die from a heart attack than getting bit by one. Shark attacks are mistakes and the idea of a shark off every beach waiting for people to come in the water is completely untrue. I will inform you on the background knowledge of sharks and the reasons why humans should not be afraid only aware.
For almost 400 years, whales have been chased to near extinction. Vessels have travelled the globe to find and extract precious oil and gather whale meat to eat. This has resulted in over 10,000 whales being executed since the moratorium in 1986. A moratorium is a delay or suspension of an activity or a law and in this case a suspension of whaling. Also a ...
