“Welcome to the yard sale!” this old lady was yelling out to me while I was walking my dog.I didn’t know if I wanted to go to the yard sale because there was a lot of old junky stuff. When I glanced over I saw something gold shining in the sun.I went over and picked up a gold lamp, parts of the gold lamp was rusty with these blue and red jewels on it. I had bought it from the old lady. As I was walking back home I wiped the side of the lamp with my sleeve then “POOF!” a bunch of smoke came out, my heart was racing! A women about 5’2 was in front of me! She was absolutely beautiful!! She had beautiful glowing skin, long hair that went past her butt. The women had said “ I am Jennifer the greatest genie, I grant you three wishes, what will they be?” My dog and I were standing there in shock. The genie said “ sweetie your wishes i need to know them.” I had wiped my eyes and said “I want my wishes to be able to always have money, the cure for cancer, and to be successful in life.” …show more content…
My first wish is to be able to always have money.
I want to be able to always have money so when i’m older i can pay my bills. I would also like to have money so I can travel the world whenever I wanted to. Also, so i can travel and see my family. I would want to have money so I can have enough money for college. My genie snapped her fingers and made my wish come true. The next morning I wake up with bags of money on my
floor!! About four months later I had asked my genie for my second wish. My second wish is to be able to cure cancer. I want to cure cancer so my grandma can be healthy. Also, so she can live a little bit longer and see her grandchildren grow up and do wonderful things.Cancer sucks because it tears peoples families apart. It makes people believe there is no hope.My genie wiped her tears and snapped her fingers. The next time my grandma had a appointment the doctors had said it was a magical thing, SHE WAS CANCER FREE!! My very last wish was to be successful in life. When I started high school I was scared so i had asked my wonderful genie if she would make my last wish come true. I had told her i want to be successful in life so i can make my family proud! I want a good job and a good life. Before my genie granted my wish she had said “this is the last wish, I will miss you very much, I had a great time.In five years you will get three wishes, hope to see you in five years!” she snapped her fingers and then she was gone. Ever since my genie had left and granted me with my three wishes I had wishes for my life has been great! I’ve had a good amount of money, my grandma is healthy, and i’m really successful I life!

Everyone wishes for a magical day in their life where they could be a princess for a day. Some wish to have a fluffy, long and pink dress, or a crown on their head. I always wished and wished that I could be that princess. On March 28th of 2015, that wish came true.
As I exited my house the bright sun shot rays of sunshine into my eyes making me squint and admire the view. After a hard day of work in the heat I see a old lady sitting in a horse carriage waiting, as I approach my home she says “Hi there, I’ve just had my home built recently and was wondering if you could help me move somethings into my house?”. Sure I replied, the lady showed me where her belongings were stored and one by one I carried in her light furniture and containers.
Sylvia was out one night bringing the cow home from pasture when she heard a whistle. The whistle was from a man in the woods. Sylvia viewed the man as the enemy at first. The man was lost and asked Sylvia how far it was to the road, Sylvia consumed with fear could hardly speak to answer. The man was out hunting for some birds. The man asked if he could stay the night, and Sylvia said that she would have to ask her grandmother. The man was allowed to stay the night, and he also received dinner. After the dinner, the three of then sat out in front of the door and tal...
Multiple studies have been completed to show that people from all racial groups and ethnicities are negatively affected by poverty. Those in the lowest social class, while a mix of ethnicities, are predominantly minorities and affected the most. What stood out about Philippe Bourgeois’ is that he not only studies the people and their culture but he lived it with them. Mr. Bourgois spent two years with his wife and child living with the Puerto Rican’s in East Harlem, NY. He lived with them and became a friend to many of them with the hopes of providing an accurate analysis of their culture. While living there he encountered all of the barrios social problems; from gender inequality to drugs and illegal activities to racial segregation. Above all the main social problem that the people of East Harlem encounter is poverty.
One day I was walking through the meadow, feeling very sad and lonely. I wanted a friend to spend time with. My mother sent me out to play, but I couldn't find anyone to play with. I looked everywhere until I came to a house made out of straw. I knocked on the straw door, and a little pig answered and told me to go away! I thought that was very rude of him. I told the little pig that I wanted to come inside and play. The little pig said, "Not by the hairs of my chinny chin chin!" I was so sad. Just as I was about to walk away my dumb allergies started acting up. I sneezed so hard that I blew the house down. The little pig ran away and I ran after him, trying to tell him I was sorry.

how to take control of my life and turn it around even if my mom wouldn’t be there to help, I had to learn to be more responsible and do things on my own.
First, money is very important in my American Dream for obvious reasons. Money gets you food. Money gets you shelter. Money gets you nice things. I believe that money, lots of money, is a big part of everyone?s American Dream; everyone including myself. When most people think of money the first thing that comes to mind is luxuries; however, money is needed for the bare necessities such as food and shelter. But how do you acquire money? Through a good job of course. Having an enjoyable, good paying job is extremely important. I am a firm believer that if you enjoy what you do, you do not have a job, you have a career. Many Americans also include jobs and money in their American Dream: ?Throughout much of our nation?s history people pursued the American Dream by...
My mom was laying down next to me rubbing my head and trying to make me laugh. We were all waiting for my surgeon to come to take me in. At one point, the surgeon came and told me to kiss my parents and say goodbye, I got scared because I thought I wasn’t gonna see them again, I thought they were gonna leave me forever. I started crying and tried to run away. I was kicking, screaming, and making up excuses so that they can let me go. Two nurses hold me down and tried to calm me down. The surgeon put a mask on me and told me to count to ten. The mask smelled like cherries, I couldn’t resist not to smell it. The room was spinning and all of a sudden it was pitch
Have you ever wanted a place to go to just hang out with some friends or family and not have to worry about being bored or hungry? The Portland Saturday Market is a wonderful place for that. It is the perfect hang out spot between March and December while it is open. Last summer I would attend with my brothers almost every weekend. We would enjoy the hundreds of fascinating people walking around and watch break dancers spinning on their heads, the many arts and crafts inspired by local businesses, and smell of the sweet cinnamon sugar that comes on an elephant ear..

When you are walking down Main Street, what are you looking at? Storefronts are the main attraction to every one’s eyes as they stroll down the street. They have the power to draw you in or push you away. You can tell a lot about what the store is by what their name is, things in the windows, signs, etc. This is what makes all storefronts unique and different from all other buildings, they tell you exactly what is inside without you having to walk in and discover it for yourself.
My biggest dream of all is to be remembered. I want to touch people in such a way that they will never forget who I am. I want them to tell their grandchildren stories about me and for them to tell their grandchildren and so on. That way, I’ll still be alive years after I actually die. However, this will be very difficult.
