There are about seven billion people in the world. Most of these people own cars and live in large cities. Beijing, China, is known for having the most polluted air in the world. China has about 400,000 factories working everyday creating air pollution. Pollution is becoming a big problem in the world. Pollution affects everything from the plants we grow to the ozone layer of the earth. Some of the air pollution is so bad in places around the world that breathing the air is equivalent to smoking two packs of cigarettes a day. Not only is the pollution hurting people it is also hurting the earth and the soil that we plant our crops in. Air pollution is a problem that needs a solution that is efficient and cost effective so the world can be a better place in the future.
Air pollution is affecting many people around the world. The air pollution is hurting our ozone layer allowing the sun’s harmful rays to penetrate more than in the past. Some people believe that this is causing the ice caps in Antarctica to melt, making it hard for the polar bears to live because they need land to live on. Some people also believe that if the ice caps melt all the way, it can raise the sea level up higher making less land for people to live on. Predictions have been made that if the ice caps are destroyed, there will not be enough land for all seven billion people to live on because we still need to grow crops to eat and raise cattle.
Large cities are making more air pollution than in the past. Some people cannot make a living to support their families in the suburbs so they are forced to move to the big cities. Cities are growing all over the world. One city that sticks out the most is Dubai; it has grown greatly over the past fifteen to twent...

... air would be a lot cleaner. The air filters will clean the air the factories are putting out. This would be a great step towards reducing air pollution in the world.
These solutions are cost effective and will not create more problems for our society. If more people would actively practice using these solutions, the air we breathe will become cleaner and clearer. We all need to work together to cleanse the air to make it healthier. I do not want to see a dystopian world where the air pollution continues to increase at an alarming rate and people have to wear gas masks. I want to see a utopian world where the air pollution is lessened and the air is healthy.

Los Angeles is one such city that has had some success in controlling its air pollution, with plans that are different from the ones Phoenix is using. Located in the Sunbelt, LA sees a lot of sunshine like Phoenix. It, too, has had a large population growth like Phoenix and has had to respond to that accordingly. Los Angeles has developed a few excellent plans to fight its air pollution, which I believe can also make a difference in Phoenix as well. I propose that we integrate those plans from Los Angeles to enhance the battle of air pollution in Phoenix.
When we think of air pollution we think of the refineries in our cities and the exhaust coming from our cars mostly. In reality there are many more pollutants that we don't think about every day. The six most common air pollutants are; “Carbon monoxide, Nitrogen oxides, Sulphur oxides, Particulate matter, Volatile organic compounds, and Ground-level ozone (nitrogen oxide and Volatile organic compounds reaction)”(David Suzuki Foundation). The fact is people are dying from air pollution and we are doing nothing to make it better, in fact air pollution is getting worse.
“Air pollution in the United States continues to harm people’s health and the environment”(EPA).Many people are burning an immense amount of money every year and they do not even know it. People choose a gasoline powered engine over a diesel engine because they think its cheaper. However diesel owners save a vast amount of money every year. Diesel is not what it used to be, it has gradually changed over the years. Ultra low sulfur fuel is being used as alternative fuel to make a diesel engine clean. Diesel engines are the best choice because they save money and it is better for the environment.
Air pollution is known to affect human and animal life. Plants are also affected indirectly as air pollution is known to cause acid rain, an even deeper detriment to plant life than most. Lung related diseases are among the most important features that the world have come
The world is filled with many beautiful things; however, the view has been clouded by air pollution. Everyone deserves to breathe freely without smog and other toxic pollutants flying around. Clean air is vital to the quality and longevity of life, not just for human beings but for animals, too. The Clean Air Act is a necessary law made to limit the amount of bad air from cars and other types of motor vehicles. The Clean Air Act of 1970 gave the Environmental Protection Agency the right to create regulations that would keep in check the hazardous air pollutants. The National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) are those guidelines. These standards were put in place to make sure the manufacturers knew the accepted level of air emissions
It is unfortunate that within the past 100 years our worlds' economy has driven itself into a deep hole with the reliance on a "black gold" called oil. Since its discovery, it has been purified to produce many different forms of energy such as light, gasoline and more. Since technology has enabled mankind to discover more capable methods of transportation, mankind has exploited its power over nature and produced machines such as the combustion engine. In combustion engine's, oil explodes to move machinery, and emits a very toxic byproduct called CO2. Carbon is incredibly dangerous to the earth's atmosphere, and erodes huge holes in the ozone layer of our earth. This erosion causes global warming and climate change that is permanent and irreversible. The impact of global warming will not only ...
There is an estimate of 1.3 million cars in the world, in the United States alone the ration from person to cars is 1.3. That 's almost 255 million cars in the roads every single day. Just imagine, “Burning one gallon of gas creates 20 pounds of carbon dioxide, and the average car emits about six tons of carbon dioxide every year”(Global Warming And Your Car).Imagine how many tons of Carbon dioxide are emitted into the air by everyone in the world. The carbon that gets emitted into the air doesn 't just affect the climate it also affects us by polluting the very air that we breath. Air pollution causes around 3.3 million deaths worldwide every year. One of the biggest places with contamination is China, the main reason for that is because of all of the factories that they have and all the carbon dioxide that gets let out.People and their decisions are the main reason for climate change, they only think about the present and never about the
Not only are human beings affected but also animals and plants. Air pollution might be most noticeable around our congested towns but the thin layer of air that envelops the Earth is polluted at several balances. It is contaminated indoors, locally, regionally, and globally. Smog sagging over cities is the most familiar and obvious form of air pollution. But there are different kinds of pollution some noticeable, some invisible that contribute to global warming. Normally some element that people present into the atmosphere that has harmful effects on humans and animals and the environment is known as air pollution.(Sarah
The Negative Effects of Urbanization on People and their Environment As our world becomes increasingly globalized, numerous people travel to urban areas in search of economic prosperity. As a consequence of this, cities in periphery countries expand at rates of 4 to 7 percent annually. Many cities offer entrepreneurs the potential for resources, labor, and resources. With prosperity, cities also allow the freedom of a diversity of ways of life and manners (Knox & Marston, 2012). However, in the quest to be prosperous, increasing burdens are placed on our health and the condition of our environment.
Air pollution according to the Wikipedia << is the introduction of particulates, biological materials, or other harmful materials into the Earth’s atmosphere, possibly causing disease, death to humans, damage to other living organisms such as food crops, or the natural or built environment>>. Therefore, human being should be aware of the facts that the environment and all living creatures are dying. They need to understand the importance of natural items, the nature, etc…
In recent years global warming has been on the rise. The importance of this issue is so that we as a nation can be aware of the drastic changes which are occurring rapidly around the world. Although there isn 't one set resolution to solve climate change, we must continue to carry out ways to put it to a halt. Some of the ways I believe we can cut this crisis is to stop polluting the manufacturing of toxic gases which is filling our environment with smog. If we all put our ideas and opinions in ways to prevent some causes of climate change, the world in which we live will be a better place. Instead of being a part of the problem we can be a part of the solution. Opposed to just humans, animals, and other species are affected as a result of
Today, people try to find resources that do not impact on the ozone, or cost a large amount of money. Moreover, most people are not happy with unclean air, which causes an unhealthy environment to live in, and one of the reasons that make unclean air is a fossil fuel. There are millions of cars run daily, so they make the area impure; therefore, the electric cars are the solution for this problem. Electric cars powered by electric motors, and using renewable energy instead of gasoline, are more helpful. One author argues that electric cars are more useful than traditional cars to protect the environment, especially when they depend on the source that used.
One of the most popular effect of air pollution in the world is global warming. With increased temperatures worldwide, the increase in sea levels causes melting of ice and this causes loss of habitat have already signalled a disaster if something for preservation or normalization is not done it will affect the world even more. Species that stay in the ice area, they will be in the verge of extinction. The Paris Agreement is an international treaty, under which all countries in the world have agreed to do their best to reduce gases that cause global warming. The following are the major effects of air pollution:
Every other day a new industries are being set up, new vehicles on roads and trees are being cut to make way for new homes. All of them, indirect way lead to increase in CO2 leads to melting of polar ice caps which increase the sea level and pose danger for the people living near coastal areas. Pollution can have an impact in our health not only affects people with impaired respiratory system such as asthmatics, but very healthy adults and children too. Exposure to pollution for 6 to 7 hours, even at relatively low concentrations, reduces lung function and induces respiratory inflammation and, healthy people during periods of moderate
In conclusion I have to say that it will be a long way for us to go to have a "clean" world. Almost all of the countries are trying hard to prevent and control air pollution. There seems to be no end to tasks that environmentalists will be required to do. But it is never too late for success. People will continually find new and new ways to control pollution. And Success belongs to the persevering. I believe in the future, there are only green trees, red flowers, singing birds and all the beauties in our campus. Someday when I wake up, I will walk to class with all of my pleasures, because there will be no more cans, no more wine bottles, and no more colorful plastic bags on my school way.
