The Killing of Wayne Boyce Details of the Case A 23 year old young father of two baby boys, Wayne Boyce, was fatally stabbed and severely beaten to death in a violent brawl by an angry mob of 15 people who were using a range of weapons including baseball bats, metal poles and knives. This tragedy occurred a few moments before when Mr Boyce got a call from his well-known friend, Joel who asked Wayne for his aid in dealing with the furious group of people approaching Mr Joel’s house. There was a presumption against the teenager’s plea for bail due to the fact the adolescent had partaken in an activity classified as a serious indictable offence. He was brought to the jurisdiction of Campbelltown Children’s court since his age was less than 18 years old where he was charged with the murder of Wayne Boyce. Four other people, aged from 17 – 20 years were charged with similar offences of affray and murder including two individual men who were the accessory after the fact of the crime and one other female person perverting the course of justice. In December, 2011, two years after the unpleasant homicide of Wayne Boyce, the evidence collected for this particular crime suggested Prima Facie existing in the allegations made. The case then went to trial in the NSW Supreme Court of Australia. Where A 19 year old teenager referred by the initials of his name AH as he was a juvenile, pleaded guilty towards the manslaughter of Mr Wayne Boyce, 23 years of age. The Causation of this criminal case was a dispute between two male youth rivals AH and Mr Boyce’s friend Joel, over the phone relating to a young female woman which resulted in the ignition for the violent brawl, leading to the homicide of Mr Wayne Boyce who was stabbed in the chest with a knife from a 18 year old male named Joey Aaron Smith who was the associate with AH and Saad Jamie Barghachoun. Factors affecting Criminal Behaviour During the whole scenario which lead to the event of Mr Boyce passing away, two key factors had an effect on the behaviours of the two aggressive groups who were in physical conflict among each other. Emotions – AH and Wayne’s friend, Joel also known as JT were in personal relationships with the same young woman which lead to feelings of hatred, disgust and revenge between each other and to settle their quarrel, Both males reacted by arranging a fight against each other, which was met by a tragic outcome of an innocent Wayne Boyce having his life taken from him. Drugs – the two separate groups who were led by AH and Joel (JT) were under the influence of drugs and alcohol. The people especially in AH’s group were affected by the drinking of alcohol and consumption of the drug Methamphetamine which had an effect on the armed group’s behavioural performance as being more lethal and destructive, carrying baseball bats and metal poles heading towards JT’s
