Hazel:
Hazel is the protagonist of the story Watership down. Him and his brother Fiver are both young, small first years. First years in Watership down are rabbits that are less than a year old. Hazel although young he posses a lot of the traits of a great leader. Hazel never leaves an animal behind and never losses. He is very fast with coming up with ideas and always has a lot of confidence with them. Although he can think quick on his feet he is not as clear as blackberry or as deeply as Fiver. In being a strong moral character he will put his life before the lives of others.

Fiver:

Hazel’s group could possibly not be able to exist without Bigwing to defend them. Although he has cunning instincts he is not the brightest of the group but his brawn makes up for it. In the end it was not his brawn that saved the group it was his brain.

General Woundwort:
Woundwort is the antagonist of the story. He is fierce, strong and has a knack for battle only being defeated by Bigwing. Woundwort does not think does not think in logic, he thinkin violence. If there is a problem he will take the action with the most violence and he always think that it is the answer.

Blackberry - The smartest of the rabbits. Blackberry is the one to always have a plan. His plans are always clear and throughout yet he can not come up with plans as fast as Hazel. If the group needs a plan then him and Hazel are the two people that can have a very clean and fast plan.
Dandelion - Dandelion is the fastest rabbit of the group and it has helped him in many ways throughout their travel. He is the main story teller and is very snidely. Whenever someone says something out of context he is likely to say something to
