The audience for my presentation will be The Walt Disney Company. I chose the organization because I have always admired to find a job in the giant media company. The company is listed as the biggest and best employers in the United States of America. The purpose of my speech is to recruit the company after the study is completed. The Walt Disney Company is a US-based mass media and entertainment group operating in different countries and headquartered in the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California. The company ranks second in revenue generation and is the most important media group. The company was founded in 1923, and it has evolved from classically animated characteristics and exciting theme park attractions to several services like hottest shows on television, and cutting-edge sports coverage. The path of company development from a century ago to the present days shows that innovation and creativity are the central pillars of its development. In order to show them that my skills resonate with their wishes, I will have to show the high level of creativity by discussing issues that media companies are expected to address. Many characters have hopes and dreams which they wish to accomplish. Of Mice and Men has two main characters that go through obstacles to get what they want. In the beginning it is George and Lennie running away trying to get a job. Once both George and Lennie have a job they try to accomplish their dreams. Unfortunately they both can't get their dreams to come true since lennie does the worst and George has to shoot Lennie. Steinbeck uses characterization, foreshadowing, and symbol as rhetorical strategies to make George's actions justified.

Disney Parks are held to a high standard when it comes to conserving their values of visitor happiness, imagination, and creativity. In 2007, Disney released a commercial that focuses on showing how a trip to Disney encourages children to dig deeper into their imagination. The children in the commercial envision their dreams and then make it a reality with the support of Disney. By transforming traditional adolescence experiences into out of this world adventures related to Disney films, Disney successfully emphasizes how strikingly different reality is while visiting the Parks through their Year of a Million Dreams Commercial.
In the book Into the Wild, Jon Krakauer wrote about Christopher McCandless, a nature lover in search for independence, in a mysterious and hopeful experience. Even though Krakauer tells us McCandless was going to die from the beginning, he still gave him a chance for survival. As a reader I wanted McCandless to survive. In Into the Wild, Krakauer gave McCandless a unique perspective. He was a smart and unique person that wanted to be completely free from society. Krakauer included comments from people that said McCandless was crazy, and his death was his own mistake. However, Krakauer is able to make him seem like a brave person. The connections between other hikers and himself helped in the explanation of McCandless’s rational actions. Krakauer is able to make McCandless look like a normal person, but unique from this generation. In order for Krakauer to make Christopher McCandless not look like a crazy person, but a special person, I will analyze the persuading style that Krakauer used in Into the Wild that made us believe McCandless was a regular young adult.
In The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Mark Twain uses diction to make the book accurate and interesting. The use of appropriate speech and phrases of the time period, makes the novel real, genuine, and gives the reader the feeling that they are being thrown into this world where everything is bizarre and disparate from modern culture. The perfect example of this is Aunt Polly’s monologue in the beginning of the book. We get an insight into her mind as she talks to herself about how to punish Tom and gives us a background on why she is taking care of him. One crucial thing that this passage shows us, is shortened words; like ’pears instead of appears. This way of talking gives us an insight into how the character sounds, what her accent may be like,

Have you ever watched the show "Toddlers and Tiaras" before? To sum up "Toddlers and Tiaras" it's a TV show that gives us a view on how child beauty pageants really are. The author of the article "Toddlers and Tiaras" Skip Hollandsworth is an award winning journalist who is currently the executive editor in Texas Monthly Magazine. Hollandsworth uses a lot of ethos, pathos and logos throughout the article to prove his point, which is how child beauty pageants are affecting little girls (around the age of six years old) mentally. Ethos means credibility, Pathos means to produce emotion and finally Logos means logic or facts. The Walt Disney Company is a highly diversified media and entertainment company that has been growing by leaps and bounds since its inception in the late 1920’s. In the past few decades, The Walt Disney Company has expanded into numerous markets and diversified its business greatly. The company states that their corporate strategy is targeted at creating high-quality family content, exploiting technological innovations to make entertainment experiences more memorable, and expanding internationally. Upon studying the happenings of the company throughout the years, it is easy to see that the company is executing this strategy well through numerous strategic moves in the industry.
The Disney corporation is easily the greatest empire of entertainment in the world thanks to the creator Walt Disney and his brother. Disney’s influence has been great within culture and society and I learned how much of an influence Disney has had through our course this semester. This influence is reflected and broadcasted through the many works and readings that we examined in class. The articles gave me new knowledge about Disney that I was previously unaware of.

The company that I choose to explore is The Walt Disney Company. Walt Disney started the Disney Brothers studio in 1926, after years of working as a cartoonist. I selected this company due to the fact I am a fan of their products and services. Disney produced some of my favorite films like Aladdin, Hook and The Lion King. After I visited their website, I discovered that Disney owns multiple media outlets, in such areas as film, Internet, music, broadcasting, publishing and recreation. According to Disney’s “The mission of The Walt Disney Company is to be the one of the world’s leading producers and providers of entertainment and information. Using our portfolio of brands to differentiate our content, service and consumer products, we seek to develop the most creative, innovative and profitable entertainment experiences and related products in the world”. The Disney brand is doing exactly what their mission states.
