Who could be described as a man who truly believed that imagination is wonderful if used right? That man would be Walt Disney himself. This artistic man brings out the inner kid in all individuals through his movies in this era still, even though he is deceased. He has taught important lessons throughout his creations so that lives can be lived more simply. Walt Disney has benefitted today's society by giving families films and such for viewing pleasure, creating memorable characters, and developing successful theme parks.
Walt Disney was a creative man who made dreams come true. Disney took an interest in drawing when he was young and sold doodles to his neighbors when he was around seven years old (“Disney”).

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was the first feature that was full-length, animated, and musical, so families enjoyed experiencing this first-hand. This especially was the case during the Great Depression when it still brought in a large amount of income. In 1945, Disney released the musical feature The Three Caballeros, combining cartoon animation and live action (“Walt Disney”). It was the first of 48 Academy Awards, which Disney would win in his celebrated life. Walt Disney also received more then 950 honors and citations from all nations along with seven Emmys. When “Steamboat Willie” came out for the first time on September 19,1928, Mickey and Minnie Mouse were born. Walt Disney Studios was a hit. Then, when the first full-length movie “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” was released in 1937 it broke all box-office records and Walt Disney Studios became well known nationwide. Before his death in 1966, he purchased the land for Disney World in Florida.
