(brainyquote.com) Childhood memories are part of us and define who we are today. Such memories are the soil in which people grow. In order to germinate into green plants, we all need well-fertilized soil. Personally, my soil stems from Disney. Walt Disney’s magic piece touched my heart and shaped me to who I want to be. Flame of passion ignited my youth. Reminiscing the sprinkle of magic in my heart, with great gratitude I decided to write about Walt Disney, Walter Elias Disney, the great man who unlocked the world of imagination.

The park presented magic to children and gave opportunity to experience the magical place. What comes to your mind when I say Walt Disney , some of you might think of classic cartoons & modern – day movie masterpieces . or maybe a grand theme park or a mass media holding company , all of these are accurate but what’s the story behind the Walt Disney company. as we all knew it started with a man called Walt Disney .
You could fit all of Disneyland plus 500 more cars into the parking lot at Disney world. Disney world is 40 sq. miles. To put that in a visual for you it’s the size of all San Francisco. Walt Disney created Disney World because he wanted a place where families could spend quality time and fun together in a safe environment. Disney World’s Magic kingdom is number one world wide the most popular theme park in the whole world with Epcot at a close third. Also according to Buzzfeed Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is the most enjoyed ride at Disney World, and you don’t want to miss out on that. In 1971, 10,000 people came to Disney World’s grand opening. Walt Disney needed to change his version and many of his other fairy tales and in doing so started a change in the way we see fairy tales. Ask someone today to define a fairy tale and they will tell you along the lines of a beautiful woman put threw hardships that in the end of the story gets the man and becomes a queen of her own castle.

With a name like Walt Disney, it seems like you are expected to do great things and have your name known across America. From a young age, Walt Disney had an interest in all things animation. Growing up in a time where animation and TV was making its first appearances, Walt Disney wanted to be a part of the sensation. Striving and pushing forward with his natural talent of the creative arts and entertainment, Mr. Walt Disney became one of the most well-known entertainers that is mentioned all around the world. His great animation and artistic works but also with his world famous characters and popular theme parks, the first one, Disneyland, being built in Anaheim, California in 1955.

The cartoonist’s career and company survived many eras of American history; this included the second World War, a harsh time where everyone seemed to be working and living for the war. During World War II, Disney contributed to the war effort through the creation of military insignias, aircraft nose art, and propaganda films. Throughout World War II, Walt Disney Productions created a total of approximately 1,200 military emblems.
When the word “fairytale” is mentioned, nearly everyone thinks of light-hearted stories with friendly characters and happy endings. However, these are not the ideas that classic fairytales originally sparked. In fact, numerous modern Disney movies were based off stories that were not so sugar coated. In the 19th century, the Brothers Grimm were responsible for multiple of these popular children’s tales. The Disney remakes of classic fairytales such as Cinderella, Tangled, and Snow White exclude the dark, twisted themes that are significant in the Brothers Grimm fairytales, because society tendencies continue to evolve toward sheltering and overprotecting young children.

Now we’ve all heard and seen these movies, but how did the these movies turn into huge amusement parks that are featured around the world? Well, every single Disney movie that has ever been made has a role in a Disney park. For example, Cinderella’s castle at Disneyworld and Sleeping Beauty’s at DisneyLand. I personally have never been here, but I hear there's just so much to do in such little time.
